"Broad SDK Support and Excellent Cloudinary Learning Experience"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

The broad support for various languages with their SDKs as well as the nice learnign experience when I started trainings in Cloudinary learning platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

It is sometimes tricky to make a reliable token consumption calculation for a client, before the project is actually live, which can create higher costs, than initially expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Reliable Asset Management with Great ROI"
4/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

It’s simple to navigate, easy to share URLs, and straightforward to manage assets. It’s reliable, and we’ve received support whenever we’ve needed it. Overall, I think it’s the best ROI we get from a tool that’s so simple, yet so effective and well aligned with modern task flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

The UI feels a little dated, it can definitely use some work on visuals and updating UX to make it easier to use. It can also have some AI features and intelligence to clean, organise and update assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of search. There are a lot of great filters and search tools to help me find what I'm looking for. The folder structure user interface is intuitive and never glitches. The upload process always goes pretty smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

Sometimes image previews don't show up right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UX and Easy Image Embeds, Though Refreshing Can Lag"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

The UX is intuitive, and I was able to figure out how to use it right from the start. It was also very easy to surface links to images and embed them in my app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

It can be a bit laggy at times, especially when refreshing images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloudinary Makes Video Sharing and Reviews Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

Cloudinary has been really useful as a resource for our video team to share files with the rest of the team. I'm a content writer and have to review video clips and scripts often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

It feels like it can become disorganized rather quickly sometimes, and on occasion we've had access issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformative DAM with Stellar Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I appreciate the quick responses from Cloudinary's support team whenever we have issues. I also value their continuous improvement and creation of new features, including leaning into AI and developing new agentic tools. These tools make the creation of things like transformations for assets quicker and less manual, allowing others at my company to use Cloudinary's capabilities without needing to be experts. We also liked the feature of Cloudinary being able to serve assets straight from the DAM and transformations (we typically store large layered PSDs, but Cloudinary can instantly create a web-optimized image quickly without the need to open Photoshop again). Additionally, during the initial setup, we received support from Cloudinary's team and didn't encounter any specific issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

Our previous DAM had better options for what Cloudinary calls 'Structured metadata'. I'd like for Cloudinary to offer more field types, such as true/false, number but with more control (like limiting it to integers), and better search within Structured Metadata fields. We have some limited tie-ins with tools like Figma, but most uploading takes place manually. We also don't have connections at the moment to other product information management (PIM) tools or CMSs for blogs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Eugene Musebe of Cloudinary

We really appreciate you highlighting fast support, PSD-to-web optimization, and AI-driven ease of use. I’m sorry Structured Metadata isn’t meeting your needs — we’ll log this as a feature request and prioritize clearer search and additional field types. Meanwhile, please reach out to support so we can propose practical workarounds (metadata schemas, upload validation, webhooks or middleware for PIM/CMS) and share any details about your ideal field types and search behavior.

"Simplifies DevOps and Frontend Work — Automatic Image Sizing & CDN Handled"
4/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

the product simplifies a lot of complexity for the engineers - devops / backend and frontend work is being much easier than before.

Although we are not using the AI features for focusing on objects in images - it is great that I don't have to think about image sizes and a CDN layer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

I think that being effective with Cloudinary is very difficult.

I have many pain points of engineers not knowing how to use it well, which means how to improve what we already do with more advanced features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Performance with Excellent Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I primarily use Cloudinary for image transformation and optimization, and have also used it for some video. It handles asset management and provides a simple API for image transformation. The performance is good, which is crucial for displaying images quickly on our site and app to convert customers. I've used it in the past and am familiar with the interface. Since we provide our own CDN and storage layer, the cost is solid. The support has generally been excellent; they're responsive, thorough, and technically proficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

Auto upload mapping is confusing; it's easy to make a mistake and could use better guidance and documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Glitchy ‘Area of Interest’ Upload Tool Slows Down Fast-Paced Publishing"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

I am responsible for the marketing communications of an OEM which runs multiple race series, and Cloudinary's ability to organize images in different folders makes it easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

The 'area of interest' when uploading an image. This feature is very glitchy, works maybe 50% of the time when trying to select, and adds a lot of extra time to writing articles on our websites. In a segment which relies on getting the news out there first, this is a massive headache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use for Ecommerce, But Bulk Image Uploads Can Be Buggy"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cloudinary?

It's very easy to use and has all the features I need for my ecommerce tasks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudinary?

Sometimes, when uploading images in bulk, Cloudinary just imports one of them instead of the whole set of images. I believe it's a bug but it has already happened several times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
