The customizable fields and reports are good. **What do you dislike about Chronus Mentoring?** There are a few things that I should get more information about before answering this, but I think that it is a bit confusing with the tracks and where the tracks need to be the same/aligned with other and where they can be different. I see that Chronus acquired Imperative. I just went through setting up a profile and can see that they start out with assessing my purpose which I assume is used to match me with a mentor. Once underway, it allows the mentors and mentees to document their goals and progress. The first steps will be just to understand the Chronus platform, and I would say that building the program falls into categories PREP • Platform features and navigation • Timeline and reach • Consider the anticipated population - - do you think you will have a 1:1 ratio for mentees/mentors, there are default settings for mentor capacity. • Questions - - the answers to the questioned posed to the population is the key driver in the match, so considered those. We also added an About me section and the data there helped with our matches. • We chose a hybrid matching, where Chronus would suggest the % match, but as an admin, review the suggestions and we selected that final match. It was often what Chronus suggested; others were overridden based on other info provided. MATCH • There are views and ways to bulk match, and you can also queue up a match before you officially publish a match • You also have to balance the requested mentors (if you are offering that) against what % match is that Chronus is suggesting • You can review all before you publish and can download to excel • There are a lot of Chronus driven communications that we selected, and we worked as a team on the wording and timing, and settings • Not sure if this will impact you, but you may also want to consider location/time zones when matching REVIEW • Chronus does provide several views to see the status of enrollment, match, and tools to offer • Once the matching is completed, you can get post-activity stats to assess your population’s engagement • Your members can also use Chronus to review and chronicle their progress with their partners. • We hosted pre-calls to explain the program and how the tool works and suggest check-in meetings periodically There is a big responsibility in overseeing the matching because you want every match to be meaningful. **What problems is Chronus Mentoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing a reach of over 1200 with over 250 participants, Chronus was highly effective in expanding our program to our growth goals. This creates the problem of a lot of hand-holding and walking through people step by step. We were able to make the mentors and mentees each view discussion topics based off of our own monthly curriculum, and this facilitated monthly discussions very well. In addition, the staff at eMC were very helpful in setting up the website program, answering all of our questions, and consistently checking on our data to ensure we were getting the best return on our investment- they did not leave us on our own after purchasing a license. Another thing that our team really enjoyed was the ability to integrate SurveyMonkey links into each month's discussion topic content for our program. The links for each month- relevant to mentors and mentees- were created by eMC staff, and this eased the burden on program administrators due to time constraints. These surveys gave our team a great idea on what was working, what was not working, and how to improve the program overall based on the input of both mentors and mentees. **What do you dislike about Chronus Mentoring?** There were a lot of little pages that had to be traversed on the website to create our own monthly discussion topic posts for both mentor and mentee to see, so there was a little bit of clunkiness to the site on the admin side. Also, the matching process for pairing a mentor-mentee partnership with a discussion topic for each month would require us to individually match partnerships to a topic, which would take up a considerable amount of time. Initially, during launch, the high school students in our program experienced issues logging into the site. Many of these issues may have occurred due to inadequate understanding of the website, or even minimal use of email inboxes. **Recommendations to others considering Chronus Mentoring:** Definitely take advantage of the staff at eMC who are always willing to help facilitate the creation of everything on your program's website! **What problems is Chronus Mentoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving problems with the website design, as eMC staff have notified us of the many different changes they are bringing to the site. In addition, the hope for calendar integration will help take care of scheduling issues between mentees and mentors. Another problem we hope to have resolved before the next round of our program is a more proper introduction to the website and all of its features so that mentors and mentees alike can access it quickly and fill out the surveys every month for appropriate data logging for the future of the program/ We have realized the benefit of streamlining all of our content to the website so that everything necessary for our mentorship program's monthly meetings for each partnership can be accessed without any issues. ### 16. This is particularly useful if you have mentors that are new to being a mentor and need to understand the best practices of being a mentor. You can embed the best practices into each of the steps of being a mentor too, so there is a step-by-step guide. **What do you dislike about Chronus Mentoring?** I am not too sure about some of the measurements that are provided and if they provide real value. It is nice to have statistics, but I don't know if you can measure how successful a mentor or mentee is based on the number of meetings. What this does allow is to show company-wide efforts and statistics about the program as a whole. I think the measurement feature is more for general macro use, not micro use. **Recommendations to others considering Chronus Mentoring:** Make sure you have buy-in from upper management before purchasing the software. That holds true for any type of program that you will install but especially with a mentoring program. Also, make sure the mentors are familiar with the program before they start using it.
