  ### 8. The product is awesome... Support feels like Verizon

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

The product is outstanding and easy to use for a standard user.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

The branding transition has been disgusting. All the apps broke, requiring manual update processes. And for what? A logo change!

Users that already have existing VPN software may experience difficulties using the Perimeter software. Simply having an application installed - services running or not - causes problems with their software. If that software is OpenVPN, you're going to want to uninstall it before installing Perimeter.

Support treats everyone - including their partners - like they've never touched a computer. Be ready to prove that the minimal error message exists through screenshots, and don't expect a direct answer to any questions unless it happens to be the first question on their checklist. It took me a 5 minute chat to get a link to an article that only instructed the reader to call support.

Logging and additional information that may aid a user in troubleshooting their problems without requiring such a teeth-grinding support experience is blocked, and all error messages are generalized - providing no clues to the actual error. When these people say Zero Trust, that's exactly what they mean. Save yourself the headache and record a reproduction of the error with a steps recorder, as well as a video capture software, and if you're using a browser, be sure to pull the debug logs as you navigate.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software benefits us by reducing the time to deploy, requiring less technical ability for secure VPN connections, API access for custom integrations, and increased security where traditional methods are not an option.

  ### 9. Enhancing overall security posture

The flexibility to customize Access Control & SSL inspection policy rules management of security events and a centralized Windows app.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Harmony Connect provides a range of security features the cost of licenses is sometimes be prohibitive.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By extending our data centers security infrastructure to the cloud we eliminate the need for hardware appliances, at each branch location. It simplifies management. With Harmony Connect.

  ### 10. Provides a security solution

**Reviewed by:** Sibila D. | Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

We were going through our SOC2 Type II and decided to quickly replace our remote access solution.
During 15-min. we were able to connect our G-Suite for SSO, restrict access to all of our GCP instances, configure IP whitelisting on our main SaaS services, and invite the entire team.
The native agent is easy to use, and even our non-technical teams are able to use it without any issues.
Access points in all geo-locations we needed (Israel, EMEA and US) were also beneficial and significantly improved performance.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Nothing much, especially after checking other solutions.
I guess that additional dashboards, bandwidth tracking, more granular traffic control within the Perimeter 81 network, etc. will be nice to have once we grow to a bigger company.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote Access as a SaaS solution with dedicated access points and IP address allocations.

Simple and intuitive interface which is straightforward to use. Even a novice user and someone not well versed in cloud security can easily manage their account.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

The only thing I don't like (and this is just me) is that the VPN gets disconnected when your laptop locks out, and you will have to reconnect again. The VPN should be connected at once and work throughout the day.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company has a 100% remote work policy. This policy helps me work from anywhere and increases the risk of cyber attacks. Perimeter 81 helps me connect to networks securely and saves my machine from cyber threats! Perimeter 81 has become an essential tool for me!

I have not faced any glitches while working with perimeter 81 it almost always works perfectly fine.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 26. Browser-Based RDP features of Harmony Connect is convenient while working with our FQDN requirements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghna S. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

Harmony Connect provides secure access for our clients and offers extensive threat prevention approaches for both remote users & contract employees. It eliminates many vulnerabilities as we can directly connect to its cloud security platform without worrying about its maintenance. It's also easy to create sites & user objects using its intuitive dashboard, and customize threat prevention & access control settings based on our requirements.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

We encountered a few difficulties in customizing our Access Control & SSL inspection policy rules as we haven't used them before. After getting familiar with its Policy management utility, we were able to set up our customer standards in the Harmony Connect platform. Apart from this learning curve, Harmony Connect is well-suited to review all our security events and manage our consolidated Windows applications.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Harmony Connect benefits us as it provides exceptional threat prevention features while we work with requirements such as C&C protection, exploit protection and IPS protection. Also, we can leverage its Sandbox environment to run threat emulation and understand the potential vulnerabilities for our corporate applications. We launch its browser-based RDP sessions for our Windows Azure applications and we can define the user token lifecycle & FQDN address. These tokens are helpful as they expire after the specified time limit is elapsed and it prompts the user to download the client & connect to the RDP desktop. This effectively prevents security violations and manages proper user session timeout while working on its platform.

  ### 27. Reliable, simple to use, joy to use. Would recommend over other VPN solutions I have seen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Huseyin C. | Staff Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

Simple, slick solution. Never had any problems.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Not much
Review: Not sure why I have to fill in this section with a minimum length even though I have no problems

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to production and lower systems

  ### 28. It's so easy to use and no hassle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

I use Perimeter81 on my MacBook for work, and it's super simple to just click on the icon on the top right and click connect under 'Quick Acces'. It's also very intuitive, even my grandma could figure out how to use it.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Not one that I 'dislike', but every time I log in using the icon above, sometimes it takes me to the web page to log in again rather than instantaneously log me in through the icon. However, it's understandable if it's for security purposes.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can connect to my work VPN and our work Cloud system with no hassle.

  ### 29. Sleek, fast and easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

Easy to install and user interface is easy to navigate and sleek. Connects quickly when starting up my laptop and can disconnect when not needed. Provides a static IP address which is exactly what was required for our organisation.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Little downsides, it does exactly what we require. It can improve by allowing the VPN to be toggled on from the quick access windows icon in the bottom right corner, as opposed to having to open up the full program.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to have a static IP address across the whole organisation which can be whitelisted to allow users to access secure servers from home. Some VPNs constantly change IP or do not allow multiple users to access one network/IP address.+

  ### 30. Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

We needed a VPN for our small company, and Perimeter 81 was ranked up at the top. I can see why now. Besides offering a impressive product and great value, their support is amazing. We had several questions early on with our configuration, and after sending an email for help, we were assisted within minutes! Not hours. Not days, but minutes. This struck me as impressive. Not only did we receive the help we asked for, but were emailed a follow-up to make sure all was well. Our users like the interface, and have been able to work from home when needed. Thanks, Perimeter 81!

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

At the moment, we have no reason to give Perimeter 81 anything but 5 stars. Everything works as it should, and the technical support has been great. There are no cons to list!

**Recommendations to others considering Check Point SASE:**

If you are looking for a complete VPN setup, Perimeter 81 is a solid choice. Support is there when you need them.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a new client, with some new users to the setup of a company VPN, we had some questions on basic setup. As mentioned above, we were assisted within minutes and had our setup working in no time.

  ### 31. Perimeter 81 provides good quality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

Perimeter 81 ensures a stable, fast connection while maintaining the necessary security. This is an excellent opportunity because I travel a lot and must protect my data, especially in public places.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Perimeter 81 is a great tool that does not require much of an upgrade, but I think the desktop app's layout could be more developed. Although it is very transparent, it could contain maybe more charts and statistics concerning usage of the network.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote work comes with benefits but also risks. Thanks to the Perimeter 81 solution, we can minimise these risks in the context of a secure Internet connection, also in hotels or other public places.

Maybe Harmony browse AI should be improved, sometime it would block sites such as Google and youtube this site we are usually used to being on them on a daily bases, also the VPN sometimes has some glitches and disconnect and then comes back it can be a little bit disturbing also for some computers it has some problems with Microsoft Edge

  ### 39. Checkpoint Harmony

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony G. | Sr. Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

I like the summary reports of outbound traffic from endpoints. It acts as a canary in the mine for insight into problems and negative trends that may otherwise disappear in the noise of common analysis.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

I wish that the software would allow for more drill-down analysis. It will often flag things that I am interested in but does not provide enough methods to perform an action on those events. For instance, you can drill down into a blocked URL but there is no action you can do that links to the application area to add it to a block list. I have also noticed significant performance degradation as the service has become more popular

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to add some level of web protection against malicious URL's to our laptop endpoints. It excels at this and has been a great addition.

  ### 40. It's very simple and great.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

Identity-based application control is a great feature. Also, using S2S VPN to secure branch sites without the need to install clients.

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

There are a lot of features that are missing since the product is still new. Currently, the two most important are the Threat Prevention exceptions that are really limited and lack of log export functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering Check Point SASE:**

If you are looking for a quick way to secure internet access for your employees, this is a great product. Some features are missing, but I believe CheckPoint is aware of these and they will be slowly implementing them in the future.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using Harmony Connect, we no longer need to waste infrastructure resources to perform https inspection on our firewalls. At the same time we secure employee internet access, no matter where they are located.

  ### 46. Great software VPN solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan D. | Head of Technical Service Delivery, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

The software has a bold and intuitive user interface that displays helpful status information. The software automatically and seamlessly updates itself when required, which is excellent!

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

There are no significant downsides to the product I have encountered so far. The only minor annoyance is when connecting to a public access point with low bandwidth. The software keeps popping up, trying to force a VPN connection when there is insufficient bandwidth to support it. I guess this behavior is by design.

**Recommendations to others considering Check Point SASE:**

Recommend Perimeter 81 as it is reliable and easy to use VPN software.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to lock down access to our client's cloud infrastructure by providing them an individual IP address within our organization' for access. Perimeter 81 allows our staff to connect to the internal company network to access this IP address and access our client's infrastructure securely.

  ### 47. User-friendly interface and bridges the location gap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

I found the Perimeter 81 is so easy to use. There are other apps that I have tried and most of it I have ended up with the limitations of geolocation, which should not be the case if you are using VPN. I am so glad we are using this one. It has bridged the location gap for things that need to be done as on another location. Keep it up!

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

I just encountered this last week, I tried connecting to the UK network, but all my search queries in Google and all Ads I see are coming from the UAE, instead of the UK. I had to connect to other alternative locations like to Ireland or France to make it work.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are sites that I need to access that is not possible if in my country. Having this resolved with Perimeter 81, it adds up to my productivity and reach. I am able to serve clients all over the world. The possibility is endless.

  ### 48. Great security in no time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

The product is great since it allows to deliver the most of security value at the fastest speed, it reduces an operational load in terms of provision, installation, management, patching and hardware replacement by this increasing an uptime and time to deliver to market. It will also provide cloud native availability and allows you not to bother with the sizing and location capacity as long as you stick with Harmony Connect. The price is reasonable.
Last but not least, there is an option to manage Harmony Connect from the centralised management station which allows to apply an existing policies and have a single pane of glass for your network security

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

An improvement could be made to achieve better coverage in such complicated regions as Asia Pacific, China and Russia - some PoP locations might create complicated traffic flows and impact the latency and load on network infrastructure even further.
Advanced detalization of log information is missing in my opinion but CheckPoint team is definitely open for constructive critics and happy to made requested changes.
There are still some limitations exists while using centralised management with Harmony Connect

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great from operational point of view - no need to procure and install HW, new location could be secured almost instantly.
No need to talk about security - it comes from a team from a talented developers and historic records of CheckPoint portfolio are evident of strengths of the products.
The support from CheckPoint side is great as always and allows you to understand the product, produce secure design, deploy and test it. Furthermore, the product owners are actively looking for a feedback which allows you to express your opinion and shape the product and improve it according to your need.

  ### 49. Again, probably only second to the Mozilla VPN

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Check Point SASE?**

It works without taking any trouble, I'm pretty good with command-line, I know underhood you're using OpenVPN but the fact that there is no need to use that, it's just cool

**What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?**

Sometimes it forced me to update the app, while I was in the middle of a meeting, and I needed to proceed somehow.

Not easy option to say hey I don't want you to run as a start-up; Also, a colleague of mine who works with macOS complained about this.

**What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes VPN connection without hassles?
