Cezanne HR provides a broad and configurable platform that supports the full employee lifecycle. The Form Hub is a strong feature that enables structured, multi-stage workflows that align with internal processes rather than requiring workarounds. The flexibility across fields, approval routes, and security roles had made it well suited for our organisation that operates across multiple regions. From an operational perspective, and once configured properly, it can reduce manual administration. Approvals, absence tracking, and employee updates are more standardised and require less intervention. Centralising data has improved reporting consistency and has reduced reliance on spreadsheets. Integrations are effective for standard use cases such as SSO, and the API provides good access to underlying data for more advanced reporting and system integrations. More complex use cases are not entirely plug and play and require technical input, but the capability is there. In terms of performance, it is generally stable for day to day use. There are occasional instances where UI responsiveness could be improved, particularly when navigating between pages, but this does not materially impact overall usability. Support has been consistently strong. The support team are responsive and technically competent, and queries are handled efficiently. Engagement with Neil in particular has been effective. Onboarding and more recent regional rollout activity have been positive and provided a solid foundation, with ongoing support contributing to continued system optimisation. From a pricing perspective, Cezanne sits at the lower end compared to other systems evaluated. It can deliver a reasonable return through process efficiency, automation, and improved data management. Initial setup and ongoing configuration require a good understanding of the system, and without that, it’s easy to underutilise key features or create inefficiencies in how processes are built. The user interface could be more intuitive in places. Navigation is not always as streamlined as it could be, particularly for less frequent users, and some areas of the system require multiple clicks to complete relatively simple tasks. Performance is generally stable, but there are occasions where page load times and responsiveness could be improved, particularly when moving between sections or working with larger datasets. Reporting, while functional, can be limiting without using the API or exporting data externally. For more advanced reporting needs, additional tools or technical input are often required. It pretty intuitive to the end user, especially for the day-to-day activities like requesting holiday. I love that you can brand it to your business brand too, and the feature to be able to set up dashboards for different sets of users. It's also having one system as the home to HRIS, ATS and LMS. What problems is Cezanne HR solving and how is that benefiting you? When I joined our business in April 2024, we didn't have any HR System, or ATS or LMS. Within a year, we had all 3 implemented and rolled out in the business, which is streamlining processes huge, and saving on manual work and record keeping. More processes are now being centralised, and employee access, ownership and transparency is hugely improved. What do you dislike about Cezanne HR? Some of the reporting can be a little clunky meaning there is some work required in excel to get the full reporting that we need. Cezanne is now well established in our business as the single source of truth for people related data, not only in HR but also in Finance and IT. The reporting functionality has enabled us to reduce manual intervention and self-service makes keeping records updated a much easier task. Cezanne is incredibly user-friendly, which was high on our list of priorities when choosing a new system. The support function is excellent, and queries are handled quickly by Cezanne experts. We started with Core HR, Onboarding, and Recruitment, but have since implemented the managed payroll service, which has radically improved our process. We’d really like to see some improvements to the reporting function. At the moment, it doesn’t feel very easy to extract information from the system, and getting the specific details we need can be cumbersome. The system’s functionality has reduced a lot of the manual tasks we previously had to do in our old system. Our workforce have various working patterns and in turn means we have to accommodate different shift patterns and leave calculations. The system allows us to be flexible and links into payroll in a way that suits us. In terms of implementation, our account managers (Wanessa and Modupe) were amazing and I cannot sign their praises enough. Complete wizzes and made us feel at ease. I can find the process area a little confusing, and if you need to make a change (if we use performance for example) it means to have to duplicate the process, close it off and restart again. If you are a generalist and not in the system constantly, it can be difficult to remember what links to what and where. And sometimes the smallest "off" can make such a huge impact to a process. Its a very customisable system covering all aspects of HR that we use as a team on a daily basis. It looks great, easy to navigate and personalise to the organisation. I love the integrations of forms meaning that we have streamlined our processes effectively without millions of emails bouncing between various departments. Additionally the team at Cezanne are very helpful and supportive, they are making continuous improvements to the system and the annual user group meeting is very informative and collaborative. The training and development area just doesnt work for our organisation as it is however I am sure others can make it work for them and through the use of other parts of the system we have made something that works for us. Streamlining of processes is a massive benefit to us as well as providing a safe place to store employee records/appraisals/annual leave.
