As well as the personalized summary I receive daily. I use CB Insights daily. As well, it is super easy to use. **What do you dislike about CB Insights?** I would say that there are very few things I find that are not useful. I would say that I wish it had personas attached to each account beyond just the targeted employees. It would be helpful for me if I had additional personas that I could research. **What problems is CB Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?** CB Insights is helping me to determine attributes of my competitors as well as my clients/potential clients. In addition to that, it gives me intelligence around the overall market. The platform gives us enterprise-level market intelligence without the enterprise price tag. I particularly love being able to identify which companies are raising funding, expanding into new markets, or showing signs of growth - these are perfect signals for our sales team to prioritize outreach. The industry reports and trend analyses have directly shaped our positioning and messaging. The Chrome extension is a nice touch too - makes it easy to research prospects on the fly during sales calls. **What do you dislike about CB Insights?** Honestly, not much. Sometimes I wish the search functionality was a bit more intuitive, and occasionally the data on very early-stage companies (pre-seed) can be sparse, but that's understandable given how stealth those companies operate. **What problems is CB Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?** CB Insights has become our go-to tool for market intelligence and sales strategy. Before CB Insights, we were cobbling together information from Crunchbase, LinkedIn, news articles, and random blog posts. Now we have everything in one place. It's helped us: Build highly targeted account lists based on funding signals, hiring patterns, and growth indicators Understand our prospects' competitive landscape before discovery calls Track competitor moves and market positioning to refine our own GTM approach Identify emerging trends and adjacent markets we should be exploring For a bootstrapped startup with limited resources, having this level of market intelligence has been a game-changer. The support is also quite good, the backend team responds in a day for any queries. The research reports are also quite good. **What do you dislike about CB Insights?** The UI is little complex to use, especially the advanced search functionality. They can make it more user friendly by adding drag and drop options etc. The expert collection of startups are also underwhelming. They can work on it to keep it updated, peers like Tracxn are going way ahead here. **What problems is CB Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work as procurement analyst, so the database helps me in discovering new vendors with ready contract details to reach out. The collections are also curated so we dont need to do additional filtering. ### 4. It also has a feature of expert collection with pre-tagged deals which helps in quick analysis. **What do you dislike about CB Insights?** I have experienced that compared to its competitor database (Tracxn, Pitchbook), there are limited "expert collections" - so every time i end up building a query to create my own collection of startups for a particular use case. **What problems is CB Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us to uncover latest funding trends in emerging tech space, also it helps us do a patent research on those areas to conduct some cutting edge analysis on predicting future trends. ### 5. Notably the ones covering the VC landscape in terms of what specific investors are doing in each industry. There's also a news-like quality to reading their reports where they feel more timely than the standard quarterly reports that other platforms such as Pitchbook publishes. In terms of data, overall CB Insights has the majority of core deal information. The sales person was also very knowledgeable on the solution and helpful in discussing what they are working on in terms of product roadmap **What do you dislike about CB Insights?** Doesn't have the plugins and extra functionalities of other platforms such as functions within Excel, Salesforce, etc. Also the contact information isn't as populated as other sites such as Pitchbook.
