## About BugHerd
BugHerd makes it easy for clients to leave website feedback. They simply point, click and comment - BugHerd grabs a screenshot, saves technical details and creates a task for your team to track. It's a simple tool for clients to use without requiring them to create accounts or log in. BugHerd website feedback & bug reporting tool is ideal for teams that build websites, including: - Agencies - Web Developers - Web Designers - Project Managers - QA/UA Testers - Marketing Professionals - Content Creators One of the key differences between BugHerd and other platforms is that users pin their comments directly on live webpages. This makes it easy to show exactly where feedback or issues are. This is a huge benefit when collecting feedback from multiple clients or stakeholders as they can see the feedback that's already been given and avoid duplication. All feedback automatically comes with a screenshot and technical details such as browser, URL, operating system, etc; and each comment is transformed into a trackable task on an inbuilt Kanban board, enabling teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently. BugHerd also has deep two-way integrations with all project management tools such as ClickUp, monday.com, Asana, Trello, Jira, and more; as well as supporting integrations with collaboration tools like Slack & Microsoft Teams, and developer tools like GitHub. BugHerd also has a fully featured API and Webhook support enabling custom integrations with any application. This allows teams to manage their workflow without disruption, ensuring that feedback is incorporated into existing processes. By centralizing feedback and task management, BugHerd not only improves team efficiency but also contributes to higher client satisfaction, as clients see their suggestions implemented in a timely manner. ## BugHerd Reviews
 ### 1. Simple feedback tool for development teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trevor P. | Senior Marketing Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2017

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

BugHerd's greatest feature is its website integration. With the browser extension users can browse the site and easily report issues. BugHerd targets the elements clicked on by the user for the bug report, and even takes a screenshot of what the user is seeing for the report. This alone has been the main reason we have stuck with BugHerd.

It's integrations with project management and development tools is a bonus, but otherwise the tool is very slim on extra features.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

The interface is usable but could use a design upgrade.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting website feedback and tracking bugs has always been a hassle, especially when gathering feedback from people outside the development team. BugHerd helps solve this problem by allowing users to log feedback directly from the website being tested.

 ### 2. Solid solution for QA and providing feedback to a dev and QA team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

The ease of use from installing it on the site to the smart and intuitive UI to capture your feedback. I also love how it captures your browser, OS, etc and has the ability to provide screen grabs.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

I feel sometimes it slows down the site speed. Maybe the JS is a little heavy? Not really sure.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

Plan ahead and use it to plan out your QA process.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time consolidating and organizing feedback. Easy for testers to see each others' feedback.

Also provides a streamlined way to assign feedback to devs for bug fixes and update

 ### 3. Bugherd Streamlines QA Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

Bugherd streamlines the quality analysis and control of our design and website builds internally and externally. We are able to makensuggested changes and tweaks to our own site as a collaborative team in addition to QAing client website builds with multiple team members working at once.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

So far we haven't had much complaints from the platform itself. It gets the job done.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

This platform has streamlines our process with the ability to assign task priority and flag errors with captured screenshots. It is a tool we would not be able to live without!

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bugherd streamlines our pretty heavy QA process and allows our clients the ability to mark areas of concern and our team edit on the fly from various locations throughout the US and abroad (one team member travels extensively).

 ### 4. Transformed our feedback and proofing process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla G. | Senior UX Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

Automatic tracking of user's browser version and device. Ability to select small elements on the page. Kanban task board. Auto screenshots taken when a bug is tracked.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

Only 25 users at a time for our account package. A little tricky to onboard new users and have them go through the steps of installing the extension, creating an account, and learning how to tag.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

Every agency and web developer needs this for QA and client feedback!

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have to print out screenshots of all our web dev projects for our proofreading team. It was a NIGHTMARE. So many trees have saved, and our proofreading team is much happier. Developers, clients, and production team alike all have better working relationship on digital projects. Everyone loves this tool. Worth every penny.

 ### 5. Saves time!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn D. | Head of Product, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

Bugherd saves me countless hours by automatically taking a screenshot of each section I am reviewing, recording browser information, and sending it to my Dev team. I am able to create a ticket and add comments to what I am experiencing within the software. My Dev team gets all the technical info, a screenshot, and a ticket created in Pivotal Tracker.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

For some reason the web extension for BugHerd sometimes logs out and then it will take a while to come back. If I log back in to bugherd it will take some time before I get the browser plug in back to easily record errors.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is an easy way for anyone to view software and highlight errors or improvements as it records browser, technical info, a screenshot, and comments all in one shot! We have the bugherd tickets and comments filtered right into Pivotal Tracker for attention.

 ### 6. Bugherd a Great Product, Moving in the right direction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin M. | Owner, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

Bugherd makes it simple for me to gather client and user feedback on websites. I insert a script, and a toggle appears on the page that allows you to simple point and click at what you want to comment on—whether something is wrong, or you want it changed, or whatever. A screenshot is generated and browser details are gathered, and the "bug" is recorded so we can schedule a fix. Integration w/ git commit hooks and various communication tools, such as slack, satisfy just about all the integrations we need.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

After having built a great product, Bugherd got a little off-track by trying to rebuild 2.0 of their software from the "ground up." This made bugherd lose a lot of the functionality that made it great in the first place. Since that debacle, however, bugherd has realized their mistake, moved development back to their original software, and have worked diligently to integrate some of the neat features that were in 2.0.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

Unlike other feedback generation tools, bugherd focuses on the client/business relationship. If your need is anonymous feedback, bugherd does it, but other software perhaps does it better. What bugherd does best is to allow clients and guests to test and report problems with your software easily and hassle free.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with clients and particular gathering feedback from clients on websites is a difficult chore. Bugherd makes this process simple and easy. It get's the relevant info to my team—such as what browser browser and OS are being used, and a screenshot—without having to bother clients with the details. They just need to see a problem, click on it, and report it. Great, simple, and effective.

 ### 7. An easy way to provide front-end feedback for websites.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth K. | Designer, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

BugHerd makes it easy for designers and developers to collaborate on website designs. It's very easy for me to highlight elements on a webpage and make comments if something is rendering incorrectly or copy needs to be adjusted. The ability to backlog, mark tasks as todo, doing, or done is avery handy feature in tracking issues and is considered to be one of the most useful features of the product.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

I wish there was an easier way to hand off code to developers. Right now the only way I can pass off front end changes is to make a comment that is formatted in the same way as regular comments.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

Give it a test run. For building websites, this software does a great job. However, mobile support is very limited at this time.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product lets us preview changes on a development server before pushing it to production. It allows us to directly pinpoint issues on the website and allows our remote developers to see the issue directly.

 ### 8. Changed the way we work through feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

BugHerd completely changed our project feedback loop with our customers and internal project stakeholders. The system provides a painless experience for our clients to deliver feedback on Website projects - not just bugs, but also for noting content changes (text and imagery) and functionality requests. It's simple enough for non-technical users, and advanced enough to be useful to our developers, content managers, and designers. It also provides us with detailed browser/viewport/OS information that our customers wouldn't otherwise provide to us without request.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

The one disadvantage is the lack of a two-way integration with JIRA. This is minor, however. Any issues we've had, in terms of usability and functionality, have been promptly addressed by the BugHerd team.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

If you are using BugHerd with your clients, do a 20-30 minute walkthrough with them on how to use the product. Before we did this, a customer might create a bug for the same problem on every page of the website - for example, updating the year in the footer copyright notice. Even though this is a single, global change on our end.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BugHerd has eliminated long chains of feedback emails between our team and customers. This has enabled us to build out websites more quickly and simultaneously increased our quality.

Previously, we would send a developed website to our customer and solicit their feedback. We would typically receive dozens of emails or Word documents, all formatted differently, with lists of changes. These included tweaks to text content, imagery, functionality problems, and new functionality requests.

BugHerd, on average, saves about a week of time in our post-production stages. Our customers even find it so user friendly that they adopt the product for internal feedback.

 ### 9. Herding Bugs

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about BugHerd?**

Made seeing which task were assigned to me very easy. Good organizational tool.

**What do you dislike about BugHerd?**

The set up we had ran excruciatingly slow and crashed often.

**Recommendations to others considering BugHerd:**

Trello accomplished the same goal for me and was much faster.

**What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coordinating efforts with a 3rd party team.
