I enjoy working the employees rotas, uploading documents in to one place and having the access to the read and accept on documents. Its help speed up process and performance for myself and employees. When ever i have a questions the support is quick and easy. **What do you dislike about BrightHR?** So far the downside would be on eLearning, having some course on Bright Safe and some on Bright, confusing to some employees. Also, the completion and re uploading certificates of eLearning. Which also doesn't let me the admin know of progress. some employees completed course, didn't upload now wont re do it. **What problems is BrightHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** I havent reported any, but it helped solve use and ease of performance and time, with the rota system, holiday booking etc. **Official Response from Nikki Wilson:** > Hi Sampson! Everything is clearly signposted and even from the first login I found it easy to use. The calendar feature is fantastic - you can have several different views and see when all of the team are off. I also appreciate the daily updates straight to my inbox allowing me to celebrate colleagues birthdays. **What do you dislike about BrightHR?** As a manager I needed to make some changes but can't as it has to be done by one specific person. I think that is down to our internal set up though not the application. **What problems is BrightHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has reduced the amount of paperwork produced. From ongoing HR tasks such as holiday requests and absence management to payroll and advice, it brings everything together in one system. The BrightHR interface feels modern and is very user-friendly, whether I’m processing payroll or assigning training courses through BrightSafe. The payroll software integrates with our pension provider and HMRC, which makes the monthly submissions straightforward and has saved me a lot of time when completing payroll. We also use the BrightHR app, along with the Pop and Blip apps for expenses and time tracking/clocking in. Everything is straightforward to use, even for the less tech-savvy members of our team. We’ve had no performance issues with any of the software, including when importing information during the initial setup and onboarding process. The support we received from BrightHR during onboarding was invaluable. They ensured everything transferred smoothly and helped make sure our first few months of payroll were accurate. While the monthly cost may be higher than some other providers, particularly if you’re only looking for payroll software, I feel BrightHR offers good value for money because of the wider functionality and level of support included. Lastly, Bright Brainbox+ is really handy for those quick questions. It’s the built-in AI chat function, where you can ask questions relating to employment law or health and safety. If it can’t provide a definitive answer, it recommends contacting the relevant advice team and provides their phone number, so you know exactly where to go for further support. **What do you dislike about BrightHR?** One improvement I’d like to see is greater integration between expenses and payroll. We reimburse expenses, including mileage, alongside employees’ monthly pay, so it would be useful if approved expenses in the Pop app could feed directly through to payroll. Currently, these need to be added separately, so having this integration would reduce duplicate data entry and make the monthly payroll process even more streamlined. **What problems is BrightHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** BrightHR brings our HR, payroll, absence management, training and employee records together in one place, reducing the need for separate systems and duplicate admin. The integrations with HMRC and our pension provider, along with the employee apps, have helped streamline our processes and save time each month. We’re assigned all the training as part of compliance, and I can check all of my paperwork there as well. I can also apply for different kinds of leave on it, and view my working hours, my rota, and my previous days off. It lets me check in and check out too, so my company knows what time I arrived at the office and when I left, because all the check-ins and check-outs include the location. I can use it both on my laptop or my phone as an app or website so it's super smooth. **What do you dislike about BrightHR?** I think that if it were connected to the inventory app or system, which is mostly used in school and educational settings to log attendance, it would have been easier to integrate at my school. **What problems is BrightHR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Instead of having my documents, attendance, and absences spread across different apps, I can, as an employee, manage everything in one place. It’s subcontracted out to Peninsula, and the service you get from them isn’t great. I appreciate being able to manage payroll in-house, which really simplifies our operations. It's also great that I can review expenses easily. I find it very handy to share files at the click of a button, and users can acknowledge and read them quickly. I was very impressed with the payroll specialist; they were brilliant at helping during the initial setup. **What do you dislike about BrightHR?** Sometimes, BrightHR can be glitchy when onboarding new employees on the data, which disrupts the process.
