## Box Reviews
  ### 1. Secure Collaboration, Easy Setup but Sync Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Box?**

I like that Box allows us to share documents with coworkers on any device and collaborate on them without the need to send emails. I feel like Box is more into security and audit trails compared to Dropbox or Google Drive, and I like the safe aspect of it. The initial setup of Box was very easy and sweet to hold.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Sometimes it's a bit slow to sync, so I would work on the speed of synchronization.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Box to share and collaborate on documents with coworkers without needing to send emails, accessible on any device.

  ### 2. Effortless File Sharing and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabel M. | Senior Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

It's easy to use and share files with the rest of the team. Its integration with our agency's platform makes it simple to upload and organize files of any project. The historic versions are another great feature when working with a huge amount of files, it allows to restore to previous versions and also download.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Sometimes it can be tricky to look for a file when it only searches to the same folder by default

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in a global agency, Box makes it easy to collaborate around the world, storing and organizing files without setbacks.

  ### 3. Secure and User-Friendly, but Stability Needs Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johrel T. | IT SupportTechnician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

I appreciate the security features of Box, especially how it connects with our company email account and utilizes multi-factor authentication for added security. This makes storing files and documents feel much safer. Additionally, I find Box incredibly user-friendly; sharing files is seamless and can be done with just one click of a button. The ease of setup was also impressive, as I could simply log in with my company email through Single Sign-On. Overall, the user experience is straightforward and efficient, making file management and collaboration much more convenient.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

I find the stability of the Box app problematic. It is sometimes slow and has connectivity issues, leading to disruptions in my workflow. Additionally, there are occasional bugs that affect daily tasks. Although I am not a developer and cannot offer specific solutions, I believe the developers should focus more on enhancing the app's stability and its compatibility with different operating systems to resolve these issues.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Box for secure file storage and easy sharing, thanks to its MFA security and user-friendly interface.

  ### 4. Best-in-Class Tool for Secure External Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gunavant S. | IT Support Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Box?**

This is the best tool for external collaboration. It provides strong security for data stored in the cloud.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

I haven’t found anything in particular to dislike about the tool.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are multiple clients who aren’t on the same platform as our organisation, so it’s always been difficult to share files, documents, and similar items. This has solved that problem for us to a large extent.

  ### 5. Rock-Solid Reliability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Box?**

Reliability, connection speed, security of business data. We have a variety of file types and it stores it all.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Not able as a small business to see the features and how to potentially use them. Would love to know what features are available and how they might benefit us, a small business.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business we store all business documents in box. We created multiple folders and then permit access levels to those folders. Files are secure!

  ### 6. Maybe I'm a dinosaur, but I like Dropbox better

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott D. | Senior Graphic Designer, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

Its a great solution to host your files, access them from anywhere, send a link to anyone anywhere and allow them to preview it; as long as they are also savvy with technology. I'm happy when I'm working with a client thats using it because I know my way around the user interface, but I'd be happier if it was Dropbox.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Its just not Dropbox, again maybe I've just been using Dropbox too long; but I can't find a reason to switch.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box solves the problem of collaborating over distance or with other companies; need to share files, easy, send a link, need them to preview it, easy, need to organize your files in cloud storage, easy. It makes running a small agency a breeze.

The best thing about box is that it allows easy integration, provides one platform for a number of people to work, edit or modify document. It gives a collaborative view to the work.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Although box is a very good tool however it also has some limitations like it is quite an expensive tool, user may face a delay while uploading larger documents.

  ### 8. Box powers enterprise and public-sector agencies with AI-enabled intelligence, compliance & security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donald H. | Executive Vice President - Global Alliances and GTM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

Outside of the TEAM, what I like best about Box is Box's new Enterprise Advanced. With Intelligent Content Management + multi-model AI, Box grants public sector agencies and enterprises of all sizes with THE platform to drive their workflow automation, AI-powered innovations, and cost-containment while ensuring the foundational elements of compliance, security, trust and governance remain the underpinning area of focus for the platform. **What do you dislike about Box?**

There is not much I dislike about Box. I think a continued focus on partner eco-system advocacy, co-branded messaging with partners and continued efforts around AI innovations will close the gaps for customers as they lay the foundation for digital evolution with Box as THE enabling platform for those outcomes. Co-innovation may also be an opportunity with the partner eco-system as we explore MCPs, A2A workflows and other edge innovations to grant CIO's, CISO's and business leaders with the broadest set of innovations possible - leveraging Box.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At mxHERO, we use Box as both a customer and a partner. As a customer, we use Box Enterprise Advanced with Box AI Studio, Box DocGen, BoxSign and all of the core features of Box including Box Hubs. As a partner, we tap into the Box API to power up email content ingestion for our partners and customers to intelligently route email content and metadata along with attachments right into Box.

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh B. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Box?**

The best things about Box are its enterprise grade security and compliance and seamless collaboration with external partners across tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Common dislikes about Box include higher pricing, slower sync with large files, a steeper learning curve, and frustrating billing support experiences compared to rivals.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box is typically used to securely store, share, and collaborate on files in the cloud, while automating content-centric workflows across teams and apps. It’s also used as a platform to build content-driven applications via APIs and integrations.

  ### 10. Easy File Management but Needs Better Layout

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karolina Z. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Box?**

I find Box pretty easy to use, which makes it simple to manage and edit files. The initial setup was so straightforward that I don't even remember the process, which speaks to how user-friendly it was.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

The visual layout could be improved, and it should be easier to open all the folders at once.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Box to store my project files, solving problems with asset management.

  ### 11. Accessible UI, Smooth Navigation, and Seamless Office 365 Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Box?**

The UI is easily accessible from all devices, and navigation is simple. Box integrates with the Office 365 suite very well. The performance of Box provides no downtime for use.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

The pricing for Box to be used as an archive is quite expensive and must be maintained as a file sharing and active file storage.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box makes it easy to share files with outside entities and set permissions accordingly.

  ### 12. Reliable and Secure Cloud Storage for Teams”

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divya O. | Student Mentor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

Box simplifies file storage and collaboration, making these tasks incredibly straightforward. I particularly value how effortless it is to share files and collaborate in real time, which is especially helpful when working with different teams. The version control system, along with integrations with tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, proves to be extremely beneficial. The user interface is intuitive, and the robust security features provide reassurance that data remains protected.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

At times, syncing can be somewhat slow, particularly when handling large files. I also find that the mobile app could be more responsive and easier to use. On top of that, the pricing may seem a bit steep for smaller teams, especially when compared to some other options.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box enables our team to securely store, manage, and share files within a single, centralized platform. It addresses the challenges of scattered data and version confusion by providing real-time collaboration and robust version control. The platform’s advanced security features, along with its integrations with tools such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, ensure that file sharing is both seamless and compliant. Thanks to these capabilities, our workflows have become more efficient, communication has improved, and we spend less time managing documents.

  ### 13. Great for Secure Sharing, But PDF Downloads Need Streamlining

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donna T. | Staff Accountant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

I like that you can share documents with trusted colleagues from different corporations. Also that the documents are there for as long as you need them. Especially if you need to refer to a document in the past to research a trend for a particular item.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

I think the only thing I don't like is when you download documents, it takes you to multiple screens to save as PDF.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's making life a lot easier because before, I would have to ask the other corporation to send me the documents that I needed. Now they just upload the documents to Box and I can download what I need without having to request the documents.

  ### 14. Its nice to share large datasets or files without needing to take up memory

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monet G. | Graduate research assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

I have used it to share large datasets for both work and leisure, mostly pictures. I work with game camera pictures for wildlife population surveys, and had multiple technicians analyzing photos remotely. It was nice to know that they could see the photos and upload their own data within the same folders and I can immediately access it. It also saved them from needing to download thousands of pictures onto their personal laptops, and saved me from needing to share an external hard drive with multiple people or purchase multiple external hard drives for them to take, that I would then be worried about losing.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

While I like that the software I used could integrate my files in from Box the same way it would if it were on my desktop hard drive, doing this through box did make the process go a little more slowly. This was the case whether I was on good or poor internet speeds, on wifi and ethernet. It also was a little confusing at times to change/modify permissions for people on shared folders.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with sharing large databases with people, making edits and modifying them in real time, and collaborating, all without needing to take up space on my desktop hard drive. It is also nice to be able to easily access it through my phone app if I received a question from one of my technicians while I was not in the office or at a computer.

  ### 15. Secure File Sharing Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed Z. | Assistant Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Box?**

I use Box to share, manage, and securely share files. I like how easy it is to use. You can easily store, share, and access files. I appreciate the file sharing and easy access controls because they simplify collaboration. The initial setup of Box was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

The interface can feel unintuitive at times, and some actions take too many steps to load. Navigation menus could be simplified, and the number of clicks needed could be reduced.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Box to securely organize and share files. It simplifies collaboration with easy access controls and file sharing, making it straightforward to manage and distribute files.

  ### 16. using box for storage

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

What stands out most about Box is its strong focus on secure collaboration and workflow efficiency. It combines cloud storage with features like version control, task assignments, and fine-grained sharing permissions, making it easy for teams to work together without emailing files back and forth. Its integrations with tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Slack, plus automation through Box Relay, make managing documents and business processes smooth and efficient, especially for enterprises handling sensitive data.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

One downside of Box is that its interface can feel more complex and less intuitive than simpler cloud storage options, which can make it harder for new users to navigate. Some features, especially advanced security and workflow tools, are only available on higher-priced plans, which can be costly for smaller teams. Upload and sync speeds can also be slower compared to competitors like Dropbox, and offline access can sometimes be limited or cumbersome.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box solves the problem of securely storing and sharing files in a way that keeps teams connected and organized. Instead of emailing large attachments or juggling multiple versions of a document, Box allows you to upload files once and share controlled links with colleagues or clients. This benefits you by saving time, reducing errors from multiple file versions, and giving you confidence that your files are secure and accessible from anywhere, whether on a computer or mobile device.

  ### 17. Effortless File Sharing with Box

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica P. | Clincal Research Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

I use Box to store and file documents and share them with my team. I really enjoy that I can drag files from my desktop into Box, and the way the files are organized is easily accessible. It allows multiple people to access documents at the same time, which is a huge help for our team. This saves me time because I am able to move files easily from my desktop or another folder into Box without any issues. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

More storage size options.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Box to store, file, and share documents with my team. It allows multiple people to access documents simultaneously, saving time by easily moving files from my desktop without issues.

It helps me to put and manage all files in one centralized place.

  ### 19. Reliable for File Transfers, Lacks Built-in Editing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Box?**

I like the public HTTP download feature in Box. It helps me host files that I can share privately or expose for HTTP download. The initial setup of Box was easy.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

I don't like that Box doesn't have a built-in editor like Google Drive. It would be better if they provided a built-in text editor or docx editor.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Box to host files for private sharing and public HTTP download, avoiding bandwidth limits.

  ### 22. Great tool to manage and collaborate on content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley A. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

probably just that it’s easy to share files and that it integrates with my Mac well so I dont have to login every time I can just pull up box through my files. That's my fav feature!

**What do you dislike about Box?**

just feels clunky, not built for real workflows. more like a fancier dropbox or google drive, but definitely still does the job

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its a great place for me to store files, personal docs, etc. and makes it easy to keep everything in one spot. Also easy to share with my team when we’re working on stuff together or find stuff without having to ask

  ### 23. Reliable Content Management with Room for Smoother Navigation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pushpendra R. | Brand Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

What I really like about Box is how seamless and secure it feels when you're collaborating with a team—especially across departments or even companies. The version history and permissions control are lifesavers when you’re juggling multiple file updates with stakeholders. I’ve used it heavily for sharing contracts, project docs, and even design files, and it’s great knowing everything’s in one place and locked down with proper access controls.

Also, the Box Notes feature is underrated. It's handy for quick meeting notes or shared agendas, and it’s nice that you don’t have to jump into Google Docs or something separate. Lately, the AI features have been surprisingly helpful, especially for summarizing long PDFs or extracting key points from proposals. I didn’t expect to rely on that, but now I use it more than I thought I would.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

The one thing that consistently bugs me is the web interface—it’s functional, but sometimes it feels a bit clunky or slower compared to Google Drive or Dropbox. Navigating deep folder structures or searching for files can take a bit longer than it should, especially if your organization uses Box at scale.

Another thing: the desktop sync app isn’t the most intuitive. There were a few times when files didn’t sync right away, and that caused confusion during tight deadlines. I also wish their built-in document previewer supported more formats with better rendering—sometimes it doesn't play nice with larger or complex PowerPoint or Excel files.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Box solves for us is centralized, secure content management. Before Box, we had files scattered across emails, hard drives, and other cloud tools—it was a mess. Now, everything lives in one place, and we have full control over who sees what, who can edit, and who can download.

It’s also helped solve version control headaches. With Box’s version history and locking, there’s no more confusion about who has the “latest” file. On top of that, Box has taken the pain out of sending large files or waiting on signatures. The ease of sharing and e-signing has seriously sped up our processes—especially in legal and HR.

Plus, the fact that it’s compliant with security standards like HIPAA and GDPR gives us peace of mind, especially when handling sensitive data.

  ### 24. Effortless File Sharing and Security with Minor Upload Delays

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prabodh D. | Digital Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

Box makes file storage and sharing super easy. Secure cloud setup, easy collaboration tools and real time syncing across devices are the best features. It keeps all document and Media files safe and can be access from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

Box works quite smoothly. No major issues so far. Just a few minior delays while uploading large and multiple documents.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box assists me in storing files and managing the shopping process, which makes collaboration both easier and more secure. I appreciate its reliable cloud access, version control, and the smooth coordination it enables within my team.

  ### 25. Easy Integrations, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

Straightforward integrations and it doesn't require a learning curve

**What do you dislike about Box?**

It's yet another app that has to be on my desktop and other devices. Because storage is such a commodity, at least the way I use it, having a million different storage apps becomes a bit of a organizational mess.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly just collaboration, particularly in situations where there are security concerns. Box seems to be trusted by larger organizations for sensitive data/documents

  ### 26. Efficient Document Sharing with User-Friendly Experience

Sometimes there can be hiccups with user settings.

  ### 39. Powerful Collaboration with Room to Grow for Admins

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evy L. | IT Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

What I like best about Box is its ability to support large-scale collaboration while maintaining strong data ownership through Divisional Service Accounts. Features like metadata and deprovisioned user data access are especially valuable for lifecycle management. We rely on Box daily for collaboration and data management, and having direct access to responsive, knowledgeable Box Support has been a key factor in our continued success.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

We’ve found that Box’s current permission model lacks the granularity Divisional IT groups need to fully manage content, which adds complexity to delegation and support. There’s also no simple way to customize admin roles or create tiered access levels (e.g., read-only or folder-specific admin rights). Metadata and Retention features are powerful but not intuitive, leading to low adoption without extensive training. Users often struggle to understand the difference between Box Drive, local sync, and cloud storage — which increases support tickets and confusion. While Box Support is excellent and responsive, the ease of implementation for our closed structure has been challenging. Communicating ownership changes and permissions to both IT and end users is difficult due to limited ease of integration and admin flexibility. That said, Box continues to evolve, and we’re optimistic that future enhancements will help better support enterprise-scale governance and usability.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box solves the challenge of securely storing and managing large volumes of shared data across diverse teams and departments. By centralizing ownership through Divisional Service Accounts, it reduces the risk of data loss when users leave or change roles. This structure improves data security, simplifies access management, and ensures continuity. For me, this means less time spent on troubleshooting access issues and more confidence that important files are organized and protected — enabling smoother collaboration and faster resolution of problems.

  ### 40. Secure Transfer and Effective Segmentation with BOX

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

that the use can be segmented to external or internal, that BOX allows secure document transfer, also that specific addresses can be generated for storage folders

**What do you dislike about Box?**

that it is not an application or platform very or so used by many companies, some prefer other products available in the market

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintenance of folders to organize foreign trade files, simple generation of email addresses for archiving

  ### 41. Seamless Collaboration and Security with Box

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Box?**

What I appreciate most about Box is how it strikes a seamless balance between secure content management and smooth collaboration among teams, partners, and clients. It offers enterprise-level security and compliance, yet still enables users to share, edit, co-author, and manage workflows in real time with ease—eliminating concerns about version conflicts or data loss. The integration with tools such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack, and DocuSign transforms Box from a simple storage solution into a central hub for content-focused work.

**What do you dislike about Box?**

What I find challenging about Box is that, despite its impressive robustness, certain advanced features such as workflow automation, permissions setup, and governance controls can be quite complex. Making the most of these often demands extra guidance or assistance from an administrator. While Box is undeniably powerful, it isn't always straightforward for newcomers or those without a technical background. Introducing a more streamlined user interface or offering guided setup options for these advanced tools could significantly ease the adoption process.

**What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Box solves the problem of scattered content, security risks, and slow collaboration. By centralizing all files in a secure, compliant, and collaborative platform, it improves efficiency, workflow automation, external sharing, and governance — saving time while reducing compliance and version-control issues.
