Before a major update, we usually run Backup Now and create a clearly identifiable restore point. We could rely on the scheduled backup, but I prefer knowing exactly which copy represents the site right before deployment. When something breaks, the last thing I want is an argument over whether we should restore the backup from early morning or one created later, after the issue had already started. One-Click Restore is far more practical than downloading files, creating a new database, importing a dump, and then fixing configuration manually under pressure. We can restore the files and database together, or limit recovery to only the parts that were actually affected. For example, during an incident caused by a child-theme change, we restored only the relevant files instead of rolling back orders, form submissions, and content created during the same period. Activity Logs are also helpful when developers, administrators, and editors are all working on the same site. They let us build a timeline of recent updates and administrative changes before assuming the failure appeared on its own. Migrations and restores tend to take longer when a site has thousands of small files, heavy media libraries, or very large database tables. BlogVault is built to reduce server load and support bigger installations, but bandwidth limits, destination performance, and hosting restrictions still play a role. A WooCommerce update and two payment-plugin upgrades needed to be deployed during an overnight maintenance window. We created a Backup Now restore point, spun up a copy using the Integrated Staging Environment, and tested checkout, refunds, webhooks, and inventory before releasing the changes. The initial deployment looked fine, but the next morning we discovered that a less frequently used payment method was leaving orders in a pending state even after receiving the callback. By that point, valid orders had already come in, so restoring the entire database to the overnight snapshot would have fixed the code but wiped out real business activity. Instead of rolling everything back blindly, we used the Real-Time Backups history to restore the previous files and configuration while keeping the newer store data intact. We then reproduced the issue in staging, corrected the callback handler in our repository, and re-tested the full payment flow before redeploying. BlogVault didn’t prevent the defect, and having a backup didn’t make the recovery decision automatic. What do you dislike about BlogVault? Once in a while, migration operation might not be successful. However, instead of producing a faulty copy, it is better if the migration fails. If the migration is successful, I see everything works as expected. One operation that is still needed is to use a plugin ike Better Search Replace as after migration, some pages might still be having the domain of the source site. Most confusing and devastating thing can be in understanding which is source site and which is destination site. Wrong choice will lead to the destination site getting migrated to the source site! And you lose the copy of the source site (unless you have a backup). So I would suggest BlogVault team to include a warning statement such as "You are now migrating appleexample.com to orangexample.com and existing content of appleexample.com wil be copied to orangexample.com. Are you sure this is what you intended?" This to be followed by Yes / No button. I myself once lost the entire website content because of the confusion. Is easy of implementation. Only need to install the plugin and connect the website to complete the integration. It provide an intuitive layout, easy to use. The main feature for this kinds of services, is the backup. The backup system is great, don't affect to the websites performance. I tried the restoration and works ok, is little slow, but it's fine. Is little confuse to see that this company have a lot of domains, that is exaclty the same control panel: blogvault, malcare, airlift. Airlift optimization is in beta for years, and never worked ok for me I got some false positives with malware scanner, and when their service show has "hacked website" in their panel, happens an strange behavior for me, where my varnish cache, stopped working. If I disable the blogvault firewall, only two minutes after, my varnish cache works again. I contacted with their support, for this issues, but they say me that this issue with my cache is not caused for their software. Maybe is a conflict with my woocommerce settings or any plugin, I don't know, but only happens with the commented scenario.
