"Excellent customer service, affordable high quality easy to use survey software"
What do you like best about Block Survey?

Outstanding customer service, combined with affordable, high-quality, and user-friendly survey software. The platform is intuitive, secure, and provides excellent value for money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

Timezones conflicts can mean it's difficult to get support when needed, but they were quite responsive once online (like 6-8hrs). Additionally, I'd like a more thorough and insightful analysis of our survey data, as well as better integration with software like Canva, to easily create visually appealing reports ready for publishing. "GDPR Compliant with Strong Security, Needs Better Reporting & Integration"
What do you like best about Block Survey?

I really appreciate Block Survey's strong focus on privacy and end-to-end encryption, which is crucial for our GDPR compliance needs at our software company in Trier, Germany. Its user-friendly interface is a big plus, making it simple and clean for both our team and respondents, and doesn't require extensive training or IT support to get started. The built-in GDPR compliance by design saves us a lot of administrative and legal work compared to other tools, streamlining our creation of secure surveys. I also value the no-tracking, ad-free, and decentralized data handling features, which help increase honesty and completion rates amongst respondents. Overall, these elements make Block Survey a valuable tool for handling sensitive information, maintaining client trust, and ensuring data security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

First, the reporting and analytics features are fairly basic. We can view individual responses, but there’s limited ability to filter, segment, or trend data across projects, client types, or internal teams. For longer-term process improvement and client feedback analysis, we often need to export data to Excel to make meaningful comparisons. More advanced reporting dashboards would save us administrative time. Second, integration options with other business tools are limited. We use project management platforms and internal workflow software, but Block Survey doesn’t offer native connectors or simple API-based automations. This means we manually transfer survey results into our systems instead of having data flow automatically. While Block Survey excels in security and GDPR compliance, its reporting and integration limitations create extra work for our team. The reporting features remain basic, with no customizable filters, saved segments, or trend analysis. We often need to compare feedback across different software projects, client groups, and time periods, but must export all data to Excel for sorting and visualization. Professional branded report exports are also missing, requiring extra formatting before sharing with clients and management. Integrations are another weak point: there is no native support for Jira, Microsoft Teams, or common automation platforms like Zapier. Survey responses must be manually transferred into our project management and collaboration tools, slowing down workflows and risking human error. We also lack useful automations such as real-time alerts for new sensitive responses. Additionally, the template library offers almost no IT or software-specific options, forcing us to build every survey from scratch. Conditional logic is cumbersome to set up, and team collaboration features such as role-based permissions, internal notes, and task assignment are missing. These small but consistent drawbacks reduce daily efficiency, even though the platform’s strong privacy features still make it our preferred choice for handling sensitive data.
