"Clean, Professional Surveys with Powerful Logic and Eloqua-Friendly Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

What I like best about Block Survey is how it lets me build clean, professional surveys tailored to our civil engineering projects, and it pairs really nicely with Oracle Eloqua, which I use for client outreach at NOVA Engineering. I’m a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, so outside of site investigations and foundation design work, I need to collect feedback from clients and project stakeholders after our geotechnical assessments. Before Block Survey, I used basic survey tools that felt clunky for technical engineering feedback. They didn’t handle complex multi-part questions well, and formatting technical terms or attaching our project reference documents was a hassle.

A concrete example happened after we wrapped up a large commercial site investigation for a regional contractor last quarter. I needed to send out a post-project feedback survey to their engineering and construction teams. I wanted to ask targeted questions about our soil testing deliverables, report clarity, communication timelines, and their overall satisfaction with our geotechnical recommendations. With Block Survey, I built the form with conditional logic. If a respondent marked that our site report was unclear, extra fields popped up so they could specify which sections needed improvement. I was also able to embed small excerpts from our project summary right within the survey, so stakeholders didn’t have to dig up old files to answer the questions.

What stands out to me is how simple it is to organize and review the responses. The dashboard groups answers automatically, and I can filter results by project type, client segment, or service line. This helps me spot recurring feedback quickly, like clients wanting shorter executive summaries in our geotech reports. I can export cleaned survey data and feed those insights into Oracle Eloqua, so I can adjust my future client outreach messaging based directly on what our stakeholders told us.

The platform also works great for internal team surveys too. I use it to gather input from our field crew after site visits, asking about equipment needs, site access challenges, or bottlenecks during field sampling. That feedback helps us refine our site investigation workflows before we kick off new jobs.

For our mid-sized civil engineering firm, Block Survey hits that sweet spot. It doesn’t require advanced technical knowledge to set up complex technical questionnaires. It takes the headache out of gathering structured feedback from clients and our project teams. Instead of spending hours manually compiling survey responses and sorting messy raw feedback, I get actionable insights fast. That leaves me more time to focus on core geotechnical work, coordinating construction projects, and managing client relationships. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

There are some notable limitations with Block Survey that create extra work on our civil engineering projects at NOVA Engineering, especially when I’m trying to sync survey findings over to Oracle Eloqua for client outreach. The biggest frustration I run into is the restrictive file handling for technical attachments. When sending surveys to construction clients and project stakeholders, I often need to embed geotech drawings, soil test tables, or excerpts from site investigation reports within the questionnaire. Block Survey struggles with larger PDF files and high-resolution engineering exhibits. Files either load extremely slowly for respondents, or sometimes won’t render at all, which makes it hard for clients to answer questions referencing those technical documents.

I hit this problem on a commercial foundation project survey last month. I added a few soil laboratory result PDFs directly inside the survey so the client team could reference the data while filling out their post-project feedback. Several of the contractor’s engineers reached out to say the attachments failed to load. Some respondents ended up skipping those sections entirely. I had to send the same PDF files separately through email, then follow up to remind them to go back and finish the survey. This messy workaround ate up a lot of my time that I had reserved for foundation design reviews and site coordination.

The reporting functionality also falls short for our geotechnical work. We need to segment feedback by project category, client type, and service line to spot recurring issues in our site investigation deliverables. The built-in charts are pretty basic, and custom filtering options are limited. I can’t easily create saved views for different project groups. Every time leadership asks for a summary of stakeholder feedback, I must export all raw survey data and clean it up in Excel before I can analyze trends.

I also find the integration connection with Oracle Eloqua inconsistent. My goal was to automatically push survey response tags into Eloqua contact profiles, so I can tailor future outreach based on client feedback. But the sync doesn’t always trigger reliably. Sometimes survey answers don’t populate in Eloqua contact records, so I end up manually copying feedback notes over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Making Survey Creation and Feedback Collection Easier"
5/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

It helps me collect feedback and responses in a more organized way. I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content. I often need feedback from patients, students, and people who follow my health education content, so having a structured way to create surveys is very useful. I like that creating surveys, adding different types of questions, and organizing the survey flow is straightforward. The platform makes it easy to collect responses without relying on multiple tools. Survey creation, response collection, and survey sharing work well together, which helps when gathering feedback from different groups of people. Another useful part is being able to keep responses organized and review feedback from one place. Features like response management, audience insights, survey analytics, and AI-assisted survey creation help me understand which health topics people are interested in and what type of educational content they find most useful. The AI feature is helpful for generating question ideas and building surveys faster, which saves time when preparing surveys for health education and audience feedback.

For my health education work, this makes planning future content easier because I can better understand what people want to learn and what challenges they are facing. The number of features feels practical for survey creation, feedback collection, response analysis, audience engagement, and survey management without making the platform feel complicated. I use it whenever I need to gather opinions, educational feedback, or audience insights. Getting started was easy, and the setup process did not require much effort. Performance has also been smooth while creating surveys, editing questions, collecting responses, and reviewing results. Overall, BlockSurvey helps me collect feedback in a more structured way, better understand my audience, and manage survey responses more efficiently during regular work. What do you dislike about Block Survey?

I would like a few more customization options for survey appearance and layout. The current design is clean, but having additional formatting choices would help create surveys that better match different audiences. Also, Response management works well overall, but for larger feedback projects I would find more advanced reporting and trend analysis useful. This would make it easier to review responses over longer periods of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Privacy-First, Lightweight Survey Tool with an Easy, AI-Assisted Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

As Co-Founder and CTO at Fulcrum, I look at survey tools mainly from a systems and data perspective how they handle privacy, how easy they are to integrate, and whether they actually reduce operational overhead instead of adding to it. BlockSurvey stood out mainly because of its privacy-first design and how lightweight it feels compared to more traditional survey platforms. The interface is straightforward. Creating a survey doesn’t require a learning curve, and the AI-assisted setup helps speed up the initial structure when you’re building something from scratch. I found that useful when quickly prototyping feedback forms or internal research surveys without spending too much time on configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

While the simplicity is a strength, it can also feel a bit limiting if you are used to more advanced survey platforms. Some deeper customization options and complex logic flows are not as extensive as what you’d find in more enterprise-heavy tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The responsive and courteous customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

There are a few design elements that I'm sure they'll refine over time. For example, I'd like to be able to assign responses to any of the categories (i.e., Qualified, Disqualified, Partial) as often as I wish; I'd like to be able to download the dataset from any of these categories and not just the 'All Responses' or 'Partial Responses' sections. "Privacy-First Surveys, Perfect for GDPR Compliance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

The absolute biggest win for our team is the zero-knowledge encryption architecture. In Germany, getting approval from our works council (Betriebsrat) for any new software is usually a months-long nightmare involving endless Data Processing Agreements (DPAs). With Block Survey, I literally bypassed all of that. Because the platform doesn't track IP addresses and we hold the decryption keys, I could guarantee 100% anonymity on day one. Beyond compliance, the integration workflow with our HRIS has been seamless. We set up automated triggers for lifecycle surveys (like onboarding and exit interviews) without ever passing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) into the survey tool itself. The UI is also incredibly lightweight; I didn't need to schedule training sessions for department heads. They just logged in and started building pulse surveys immediately. What do you dislike about Block Survey?

The analytics module feels a bit too basic right now. While the data collection is bulletproof, the internal reporting lacks depth. If I want to cross-tabulate engagement scores by tenure or specific departments, I currently have to export the raw, anonymized CSVs and build the charts in our internal BI tools. It’s a necessary trade-off for privacy, but native, secure dashboards with customizable filters would save my team hours of manual data cleaning each month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Admin Tasks with Intuitive Feedback Collection"
4/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

I appreciate Block Survey most for its practical, no-frills design tailored perfectly to routine administrative feedback tasks at Meridian Executive Partners, our small US executive office with 34 staff focused on executive consulting, client reception and corporate event coordination. Its intuitive, fast survey-building editor stands out as my top favorite feature, allowing me to build short 3–5 question polls in just a few minutes without navigating confusing menus or needing IT support. Whether I need a quick post-consultation satisfaction check after high-level partner meetings or a brief internal poll about office supply and breakroom amenities, I draft and finalize questionnaires rapidly. This rapid setup saves me substantial time amid packed scheduling during busy quarterly networking seasons filled with back-to-back executive roundtables and onsite client visits. I also greatly value its flexible link-only sharing method, which fits our formal executive office communication style perfectly. Instead of complicated website embedding or complex campaign configuration, Block Survey generates clean, concise survey URLs I can paste directly into personalized Outlook thank-you emails immediately after clients finish in-person boardroom consultations. This creates a seamless, professional feedback touchpoint aligned with our existing client follow-up workflow and never disrupts our standard correspondence format for VIP visitors. Additionally, its uncomplicated results dashboard is incredibly convenient for my monthly admin reporting submitted to firm leadership. All submitted replies automatically sort under each individual survey by submission date and event type, allowing me to quickly scan grouped feedback and spot recurring concerns such as inconvenient lobby waiting arrangements or faulty conference room audiovisual equipment. I can pull organized insights effortlessly to adjust front-desk workflows, upgrade office facilities or optimize future event layouts without spending hours sorting scattered messages and handwritten notes from across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

Its built-in result filtering options are relatively basic. When I need to pull segmented feedback—such as only visitor responses from clients who used our premium executive meeting spaces or staff feedback focused exclusively on breakroom upgrades—I cannot filter datasets by custom tags, visit type or department directly within the dashboard. I have to download full response sets and manually organize information inside Excel spreadsheets ahead of monthly operational reports. Adding customizable filtering and tagging functionality would drastically cut down my data sorting workload. I would also like automated scheduled survey dispatch. Currently, I manually copy and paste survey links into Outlook emails after every client meeting. If Block Survey supported scheduled triggers to send survey links at a preset time, it would cut repetitive email work from my daily admin checklist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GDPR Compliant with Strong Security, Needs Better Reporting & Integration"
3/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

I really appreciate Block Survey's strong focus on privacy and end-to-end encryption, which is crucial for our GDPR compliance needs at our software company in Trier, Germany. Its user-friendly interface is a big plus, making it simple and clean for both our team and respondents, and doesn't require extensive training or IT support to get started. The built-in GDPR compliance by design saves us a lot of administrative and legal work compared to other tools, streamlining our creation of secure surveys. I also value the no-tracking, ad-free, and decentralized data handling features, which help increase honesty and completion rates amongst respondents. Overall, these elements make Block Survey a valuable tool for handling sensitive information, maintaining client trust, and ensuring data security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

First, the reporting and analytics features are fairly basic. We can view individual responses, but there’s limited ability to filter, segment, or trend data across projects, client types, or internal teams. For longer-term process improvement and client feedback analysis, we often need to export data to Excel to make meaningful comparisons. More advanced reporting dashboards would save us administrative time. Second, integration options with other business tools are limited. We use project management platforms and internal workflow software, but Block Survey doesn’t offer native connectors or simple API-based automations. This means we manually transfer survey results into our systems instead of having data flow automatically. While Block Survey excels in security and GDPR compliance, its reporting and integration limitations create extra work for our team. The reporting features remain basic, with no customizable filters, saved segments, or trend analysis. We often need to compare feedback across different software projects, client groups, and time periods, but must export all data to Excel for sorting and visualization. Professional branded report exports are also missing, requiring extra formatting before sharing with clients and management. Integrations are another weak point: there is no native support for Jira, Microsoft Teams, or common automation platforms like Zapier. Survey responses must be manually transferred into our project management and collaboration tools, slowing down workflows and risking human error. We also lack useful automations such as real-time alerts for new sensitive responses. Additionally, the template library offers almost no IT or software-specific options, forcing us to build every survey from scratch. Conditional logic is cumbersome to set up, and team collaboration features such as role-based permissions, internal notes, and task assignment are missing. These small but consistent drawbacks reduce daily efficiency, even though the platform’s strong privacy features still make it our preferred choice for handling sensitive data. "Efficient Survey Filtering, User-Friendly Interface"
4/5
What do you like best about Block Survey?

I like how Block Survey quickly filters out irrelevant surveys and saves time. Instead of realizing a full survey is not suitable after completion, Block Survey identifies eligibility early, making the survey experience more efficient. This ensures that only relevant responses are collected and allows me to focus on surveys matching my profile, reducing frustration. The initial setup was quite easy and straightforward, with a simple registration process and a clean, user-friendly interface. I found it beginner-friendly as I could start creating surveys quickly, thanks to the availability of templates and guided steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Block Survey?

Sometimes Block Survey disqualifies users after a few questions, which can waste time. Improving early screening and giving clearer reasons for disqualification would enhance the experience. Additionally, offering small compensation for partial attempts could reduce time loss and frustration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
