## About Blink
Blink is a leading employee experience platform designed to connect users to the tools, information, and actions necessary for effective work performance. Specifically tailored for frontline and deskless organizations, as well as complex and distributed workforces, Blink addresses the digital divide between desk-based and non-desk employees. This platform ensures that every worker, regardless of their work environment, has access to the resources they need to excel in their roles. The target audience for Blink includes industries where a significant portion of the workforce operates without a traditional desk, such as healthcare, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, hospitality, and retail. By providing a mobile-first digital front door, Blink unifies communications, knowledge, and workflows into a cohesive platform. This integration promotes higher adoption rates, increased productivity, and enhanced employee engagement across organizations. Unlike traditional intranet solutions or standalone communication tools, Blink facilitates actionable insights, allowing employees to not only receive information but also to engage with it effectively. Key features of Blink include a comprehensive employee communications system that offers a social-style news feed, priority posts, push notifications, newsletters, and two-way messaging. This ensures that all employees receive real-time updates and can communicate seamlessly. Additionally, Blink serves as an employee intranet, providing a centralized hub for easy access to documents, policies, HR tools, workflows, and third-party applications. This streamlined access is particularly beneficial for organizations with a diverse workforce, as it eliminates the need for a company email address or fixed workstation, allowing for quick onboarding through single sign-on (SSO) authentication and an intuitive mobile interface. Moreover, Blink enhances employee engagement through features such as peer recognition, surveys, onboarding flows, and shift scheduling. Its built-in AI capabilities improve search functionality, content creation, and analytics, enabling employees to find answers quickly and communicate more effectively. The platform has demonstrated significant impact, with customers reporting an average of seven app opens per day per user and a reduction in frontline attrition of up to 25%. Blink’s high employee activation rate of 95% and its endorsement by global organizations like McDonald's, Domino's, and Nokia underscore its effectiveness in fostering a connected and engaged workforce. Recognized as a leader in employee engagement software, Blink continues to set the standard for employee experience platforms in today's dynamic work environments.

## Blink Reviews
 ### 1. Facilitated Team Connectivity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kingsley G. | Head of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Blink?**

I find Blink easy to use, much like social media apps, which helps our not very tech-savvy staff to adopt it easily. I also appreciate their good customer service team that is willing to help improve our engagement and has different ideas on how to build it further. Their constant reminders and helpfulness get us back on track. They advised us to start small and build from there, considering that we often dream big without knowing if it will succeed or fail. Additionally, the initial setup of Blink was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

Some of Blink's APIs and integrations could be better, including more features, improved error handling, allowing custom fields, and better throttling. The chats/communities aren't mandatory, so people can opt out of business communications, meaning we have to use the feed for it instead.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blink to connect staff across 16 locations, solving connectivity issues and streamlining communications. It provides a centralized platform for apps and content, making tasks easier. Its user-friendly interface suits our non-tech-savvy staff, and their supportive customer service enhances engagement.

 ### 2. Game changer for employee engagement!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | HR Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Blink?**

Blink is a simple, effective, easy to use workplace tool. It allows managers to keep the team updated with what's going on within the organisation as well as allow employees to post questions, duty swaps and much much more. With the majority of our workforce being out on the road for most of the day, the messaging feature in Blink is extremely helpful and definitely cuts down the time it takes to deal with issues. The hub is also a useful feature to store files for everyone to have easy access to. To summarise, I don't know what we used to do before we had Blink!

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

If not properly monitered it can turn into Facebook with people posting non-work related things!

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blink is great at improving employee engagement

**Official Response from Jane:**

> Chris, thank you so much for your 5-star review! 🌟
We're thrilled to hear that Blink is making a positive impact on engagement. Our mission is to ensure every employee feels connected and valued, no matter where they are. Your feedback reinforces the importance of bridging digital gaps and providing a platform where everyone can stay informed and engaged. ### 3. Super Simple Setup, Rich Features, But Search Needs Work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Data Integration Manager, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Blink?**

I really like how incredibly easy Blink is to set up initially, even with our wide user base. Everyone could fully update it without any difficulties, regardless of their skill level. Also, the social features fill a gap we had with previous intranet platforms, providing the ability to communicate and post updates, which was something completely new for us. We used to rely heavily on chain emails for social interactions, but now Blink gives us an outlet for posting social events or non-business-related updates, which is nice. Moreover, the knowledge base has been great for storing all our policies and procedures in one place, and it's accessible anywhere, which is a huge plus. Using Blink is simple, without the need for any HTML knowledge, unlike other intranets where things were much more complicated.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

I think the search feature was pretty good although sometimes even, yeah, depending on what you were searching for, might just get way too many results, and then it's hard to drill down and find the one that you want maybe by time frame or anything else like that. The only thing that maybe could have been a little bit better is

**Recommendations to others considering Blink:**

The social media aspect of Blink was at first a little offputting for us since we just wanted a basic intranet site, but once we launched it, our workforce has really taken to the "Feed" feature.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blink to store processes and procedures, making access easy from anywhere. It's simple to set up and everyone can use it without difficulty. The social features reduce chain emails by letting people communicate and post updates.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Hi Michael,

Thanks for updating your review of Blink, it's great to get some refreshed feedback.

 ### 4. Boosts Engagement and Connection Across a Remote Workforce

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leanne M. | Internal Communications & Engagement Partner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Blink?**

The opportunities for engagement with colleagues, particularly targeted engagement through the feed, recognition, reactions and chat. It can give an instance sense of sentiment across the business and within a remote workforce it helps us feel more connected.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

At first, it can feel a little overwhelming to use, but that's mainly because we only had a broadcast app before. Now that we have been using it for a while, that feeling has settled, and there is very little about the app that I don't like.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a predominantly remote workforce, and in my job I support a wide geographical area. Blink helps me to communicate to a bigger audience. It also allows colleagues to provide feedback instantly, creating more meaningful engagement and giving valuable insight.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Hi Leanne,

Thanks for leaving a review of Blink! We really appreciate your feedback and it's fantastic to hear that the platform has been working well for you, particularly for connecting a dispersed and remote workforce.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team in-app if there's anything we can help with!

 ### 5. Seamless Communication for Seasonal Programs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Blink?**

I personally really like how easy it is to use Blink on both the app and desktop versions. It's super helpful being able to toggle back and forth, especially when working with parents and when I'm on the go. I can start a message or a group chat on my computer and continue seamlessly on my phone if I need to address something urgently away from my desk. This versatility is particularly useful given the younger age of the counselors we work with, who seem to prefer app-based functions. Additionally, the initial setup of Blink was super easy and we got integrated pretty fast after attending a webinar. It has been very versatile and meets all of our needs. With Blink, I find it super helpful that we can turn it on when we need it due to our seasonal work and then reduce the number of accounts when we don't. It's also very affordable and on par with other options like WhatsApp and iOS group chats. Overall, Blink has been as good, if not better, than what we previously had with Workplace by Meta.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

I would say potentially one area of growth just from an HR perspective. It would be helpful if our company would have access to communication history that happens between our staff just in the event that we ever do need to kind of review that. Just like, you know, if HR needs to review emails history between staff, it would be helpful if HR can also do the same thing through Blink.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blink helps us streamline communication and share resources with staff for our summer programs, making it easy to manage onboarding paperwork and training schedules. It supports seamless communication through group and direct chats, which is vital as we prepare for and run our summer season.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Thanks for your review Julio - we really appreciate your feedback! Very pleased to hear hear that the platform is working well for you.

 ### 6. Blink Transformed How We Connect and Communicate as a Community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Blink?**

I found Blink a very innovative tool, for communicating with our colleagues. I believe that it has started to change people's understanding of how we are trying to communicate, not just about business related news, but as a community, which we have many of.

Under our Comms account, we post regularly, multiple times for the week, and sometimes daily on business news, or community related news. We regularly run campaign and initiatives, raising awareness for different causes. Fundamentally, through Blink, it has allowed for us as a department to understand and start to build a rapport with our colleagues, something which we wasn't quite able to do when we just used emails to communicate. Additionally, where we have launched communities across the business, based on similar interests, it has further allowed for rapport and combined interests to come together and connect.

As an Org Admin, it is very beneficial to see the content we share, and how it performs. By seeing this, we can then provide a more in depth insight when explaining how our content lands with people.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

Nothing major that really comes to mind. I do think that the pages, when creating and building a page, it's quite basic, and restrictive with how it looks, and what we can do to bring the page more to life and look inviting.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned, I’d say it’s been about building that bridge and strengthening rapport with our colleagues, which wasn’t quite there before. We’re starting to help people understand how comms works and, in turn, creating more space for them to share their thoughts and ideas.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Thanks for your review of Blink! It's great to hear that the platform is working well for you - particularly for building a rapport between colleagues which wasn't possible with email (that's exactly why Blink was created!). I've linked our helpdesk article on Pages for reference, thanks for your feedback on these.

 ### 7. Streamlines Compliance and Enhances Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathryn P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Blink?**

I really like the forms feature in Blink. They allow us to create and easily share forms, which are accessible on tablets, phones, and desktops. Capturing signatures with these forms is very important to us. Additionally, they turn digital forms into PDFs that we can store electronically, helping us move away from paper. This feature helps significantly in our transport operations where compliance and interaction with frontline staff are crucial. It helps us capture evidence that certain processes have been followed, like drug and alcohol testing or vehicle checks, and makes the whole process less time-consuming. Blink does all these things in a very engaging way, and the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

I do think that sometimes it can be a little overstimulating because there's an awful lot of content on the first pages. That's fine for some people, particularly if they're using the app regularly. However, for some people, particularly those who are neurodivergent, or just busy and not checking in very much, the amount of content can be quite overstimulating. A 'reduce content' button might help allow people to process that in a simpler form.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blink to streamline processes in transport operations, improve communication, simplify compliance, and provide easy access to information. It reduces time in processing forms and helps share updates and policies effectively.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for leaving such a detailed review of Blink - it's great to get high quality feedback as we continue to grow, welcome more customers and develop the product.

It's great that Blink forms has helped you streamline processes across the workforce - particularly for important tests and checks.

We've also recently built the 'recommended' feed toggle, at the top of user feed pages, which helps to streamline the most relevant and engaged content that employees need to see.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to support@joinblink.com if there's anything else we can help with.

 ### 8. Easy Setup and Daily Use—A Great Free Option for Charities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henna L. | Programmes Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Blink?**

Blink was very easy to set up, and it’s just as easy to use day to day. As a charity, it’s been great to know there’s no cost for us to use it.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

As a charity user, we get Blink for free; however, we’re unable to take advantage of Blink Forms. As a charity, we have many different team members who use Blink, and we would really benefit from using Blink Forms directly rather than having to link everything to Microsoft Forms. It’s such a shame, because this seemed like a great feature for us. Additionally, there’s no setting to allow or disable email notifications.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all our nurses on one platform is great. The only issue we’re running into is getting our nurses to join, but unfortunately that’s not something Blink can fix.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Hi Henna,

Thanks very much for leaving a review! We really appreciate the feedback, and it's fantastic that our Blink for Everyone option is working well for your charity org.

Feel free to drop me an email at tom.s@joinblink.com - I'll speak to the engineering team about turning on Forms for your org.

Be great to get that working for you!

 ### 9. Blink: Clean, Intuitive, and Quick to Roll Out Across the Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Blink?**

We previously used another platform, which has since been discontinued. When searching for a replacement, there were limited suitable options available; however, Blink stood out. It was straightforward to set up and allowed us to onboard the team quickly. The platform is clean, intuitive, and easy for staff to navigate, even for those who are not particularly tech-savvy. This has helped drive engagement across the team, as users can quickly access what they need without extensive training. Performance has been reliable overall, with no significant issues. The system runs smoothly across devices, and we’ve not experienced any major downtime or delays. From a cost perspective, Blink offers good value for money. The ease of use and quick implementation meant we were able to realise benefits almost immediately, making it a worthwhile investment for our organisation.

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

There are a few areas where Blink could be improved. It would be beneficial for each team member to have a more interactive profile where they can post updates and engage with others, helping to build better communication and team connection.
Additionally, it would be useful to have a clearer, more visible way to see who has read messages without needing to go into the settings.
Finally, introducing features such as polls would enhance engagement and make it easier to gather feedback from the team quickly.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blink is helping to improve communication across our teams, particularly in ensuring that important updates and information are shared quickly and consistently. This has reduced reliance on emails and informal messaging, giving us a central place for communication.
As a result, staff are more informed, engagement has improved, and we have greater confidence that key messages are being seen across the organisation.

**Official Response from Tom Scamell:**

> Hi there!

Thanks for leaving a review of Blink - it's great to hear that the app is proving useful for your teams and you're seeing a genuine ROI.

Really appreciate the suggestions for app improvements - I'll report these back to our product team. Blink does offer functionality for polls, which you can read about in our help-desk here: https://helpdesk.joinblink.com/en/articles/10111360-a-user-guide-to-polls-on-blink.

If you need any active assistance our support team are on-hand and can be reached through the Blink app.

Best,

Tom

 ### 10. Great platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah B. | Quality Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Blink?**

The new layout with the options at the top has allowed for the feed to be more prominent on the display

**What do you dislike about Blink?**

A search function for inside the private chats so older chats can be more easily found.

**What problems is Blink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all of the policies and procedures in one place. Being able to communicate company wide, reducing the need for emails. Having an instant messenger so queries get a more immediate response. A way to share best practice across different teams that might not always talk to each other naturally.

**Official Response from Jane:**

> Sarah, thank you so much for your review! 🌟
We're thrilled to hear that Blink is making a positive impact with centralizing everything. Our mission is to ensure every employee feels connected and valued, no matter where they are. Your feedback reinforces the importance of bridging digital gaps and providing a platform where everyone can stay informed and engaged. If there's anything more we can do to support your experience, please let us know.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you!
