I've been using Bit.ly for over 10 years now, and have benefited from the features and convenience provided, but these have changed more recently. Bitly is now under new management. In the last year, they have removed most of the features available in the free platform, and are now only available in the paid platform. Worse than that, any previously generated free links, are now opted into paid advertising clickthroughs. This is completely unprofessional, and damages the reputation of existing users of bit.ly.
