This browser extension showed up on my personal computer without my knowledge, eating up valuable computing power and delivering nothing in return. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Bardeen? Bardeen apparently bought out browser extensions that I was using and enjoying and replaced them with their "product". Though they have flooded the web with positive AI-bubble speek and paid for feedback, if you dig you will find other users have found the same thing; bardeen is essentially malware. They are certainly using local computing power for something, as uninstalling this bloatware xtension immediately silenced the screaming fan of my highly capable PC. CPU, power usage, and ram were all maxed out with no other applications running. A single Chrome browser window was enough to max out my computer with this extension installed. Initially, there was a somewhat steep learning curve to navigate Bardeen, however, their team stepped up in a major way and assisted us with wiring up our automation bespoke. The ability to automate almost any possible task, be it scraping data from websites or initiating events based on triggers. Furthermore, it provides pre-built playbooks and autobooks that can be further edited per my needs, saving time in creating new triggers and events. Lastly, the Chrome extension is fire! I can be on any page and use Bardeen just with my shortcut keys without navigating to its website, as sometimes it becomes too tedious to find a tab among the hundreds of opened ones. You must always review the resources they provide to set up triggers and actions carefully; otherwise, you'll be confused out of your wits. IMO, an in-app tutorial while performing different tasks would be very helpful as navigating to the learning/ onboarding resources becomes tedious, especially if you're using Bardeen to automate and scrape data from the hundreds of apps it integrates with! Primarily helping me scrape website and Linkedin data and automatically sending it to my Airtable sheet, saving me time for the actual sales work and no manual data entry and QC. My team and I also use it for competitor analysis, as any time a new product is launched on Product Hunt, we get the entire page data in our Notion, saving us a lot of time. Personally, it helped me immensely when I was open to new opportunities, as it copied job posts on LinkedIn to Notion through a simple right-click. Hence, saving me the mind-numbing task of returning to "saved jobs" and hunting for open/in-progress roles whenever I wanted to reference the responsibilities listed and instead just running a search on notion!
