"Microsoft Azure Review"
5/5
What do you like best about Azure Virtual Machines?

I like that using Microsoft Azure, my employees and customers can access their email, file storage, information and websites from anywhere in the world using our secure and SSO based Microsoft logins. The SSO platform provided by Azure allows us to intergrate any third-party solution with our existing password strategy. Making the lives of our employees and customers easy, secure, and consistant. Microsoft makes it easy for us to intergrate our on-premise Active Directory platform with their Azure Cloud. That creates less work for my Information Technology staff and frees them up to care for other customer issues and requests. I also like that Azure offers a robust feature set for our cloud based Directory Service platform. This allows us to create redudancy, utilize Microsoft's disaster recovery solution, create servers, desktops and applications needed to support our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

Microsoft Azure can be a complex setup. As it is a cloud network, server infrastructure, directory service, desktop provider and holds network applications. It is a very robust tool that should be taken seriously and planned with care. This is not something that should be setup in 5 minutes. There is so many questions involved in setting up Azure and it can be used in many different ways. It is a power tool, to get the most out of it planning is needed.

It is also very modularized, so for example if you want to figure out why your monthly charges were X. You will need to build your Azure portal dashboard, so you can see what network, storage, virtualization costs you are incurring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Azure is great all-in-one cloud environment, really easy to use and navigating is a breeze."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Azure Virtual Machines?

Azure appears to be built from the ground up as an all-in-one cloud solution, everything you need to administer your cloud apps/servers/endpoints or 365 services is on hand and easy to navigate. The pricing is nice and simple too and doesn't make it difficult to gauge what you're going to be paying. I particularly like the ACL permissions element which makes admin management a breeze. Google Cloud and Amazon AWS take note. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

Ultimately the price of certain services, Microsoft sometimes showcase their ability or usefulness to combat a specific on-premise service or security issue but it almost feels as if you're constantly being guided to use their solution only and at full cost. It's not the simplest infrastructure to add in your own services or link any non-Azure instances without some tinkering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
