"Centralized Visibility That Transforms Network Management"
What do you like best about Auvik?

I love having a comprehensive view of the client environment and direct access to each device’s configuration within the platform. It significantly reduces the time required to map connections and identify VLANs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I find it challenging when the system hosting the Auvik Collector is offline, as it requires reverting to manual processes. This isn’t a reflection on Auvik itself, but rather an indication of how integral it has become to my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Auvik Saves Hours with Automated Discovery, Topology Mapping, and Real-Time Alerts"
What do you like best about Auvik?

What I like most about Auvik is the amount of time it saves through automated network discovery and real-time topology mapping. Once we deploy the collector, it automatically identifies devices and generates a clear, visual network map with little to no manual effort. That alone has eliminated hours of manual documentation and keeps our diagrams consistently up to date.

The feature I find most valuable is the deep visibility into network performance and configuration changes. Configuration backups and change alerts have been especially helpful—if someone makes a firewall or switch change, we’re notified right away. This has significantly reduced troubleshooting time because we can quickly pinpoint exactly when and where a change happened.

I also appreciate the intuitive dashboard and alerting system. Rather than jumping between multiple tools, I can view bandwidth usage, device health, and potential bottlenecks in one place. The traffic insights also help us proactively spot unusual spikes or saturation issues before users even report a problem.

One unexpected benefit is how useful Auvik has been for client reporting. The clean, professional reports make it easier to demonstrate network health and support the case for infrastructure upgrades. Overall, Auvik has improved our workflow by centralizing visibility, automating documentation, and reducing the time it takes to diagnose and resolve network issues. What do you dislike about Auvik?

Area for improvement is alert tuning. The alerting system is powerful, but it can feel noisy right out of the box. It takes time to dial in thresholds and notification settings to avoid alert fatigue. A more guided onboarding experience, or recommended best-practice alert profiles tailored to environment size, would help reduce the initial setup effort. We were getting printers were out of ink for the longest time, which we didn't want to monitor. It took a bit to turn that off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Network Visibility and Faster Troubleshooting Across Multi-Site Environments"
What do you like best about Auvik?

What I value most about Auvik is the visibility and control it gives us across complex, multi-site environments. In our case, we manage production, corporate, and remote branch infrastructure, and Auvik’s automated network discovery and topology mapping significantly reduces the time required to understand dependencies and device relationships.

The real benefit is operational clarity. When troubleshooting latency, packet loss, or intermittent outages, the live topology view and traffic insights allow us to isolate issues at switch, uplink, or WAN level within minutes instead of hours. It also improves incident response during high-pressure situations because we can immediately validate whether the issue is device, link, or configuration related.

Configuration backup and change detection are particularly valuable from a governance and risk perspective. Having versioned configs and being alerted to changes strengthens our internal controls and supports audit readiness. For an environment that operates under strict compliance and uptime requirements, this is not a convenience feature — it is risk mitigation.

The alerting is granular enough to be meaningful without becoming noise, which improves our service desk workflow and reduces reactive firefighting.

Overall, Auvik contributes directly to faster MTTR, improved visibility for Exco-level reporting, and stronger network governance across our estate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

While Auvik provides strong visibility and mapping capabilities, there are areas that could be improved for enterprise-scale environments.

Alert tuning can still require significant effort to prevent noise in larger deployments. In complex multi-site environments, fine-grained threshold control and more advanced correlation between related alerts would reduce alert fatigue and improve signal-to-noise ratio. Smarter event grouping during outages (for example, suppressing downstream device alerts when a core switch fails) would significantly enhance operational efficiency.

Reporting, while functional, could benefit from more executive-ready customization. For organizations that present network health and risk metrics at Exco level, more flexible dashboard exports and deeper trend analytics would add value.

Additionally, pricing tied to device counts can become challenging in environments with a high number of network devices, especially where monitoring requirements differ between core infrastructure and edge devices. More flexible licensing tiers or role-based monitoring levels would help optimize cost versus visibility.

Overall, Auvik is strong operationally, but enhancements in alert intelligence, reporting flexibility, and licensing scalability would make it more aligned with enterprise and compliance-driven environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Network Management with Proactive Alerts"
What do you like best about Auvik?

I use Auvik to automate network documentation and monitor device performance. I appreciate how it streamlines troubleshooting through its live interactive maps. Network Device Inventory is a real-time saver compared to manual site audits. Auvik maps devices on a client's network, including unmanaged ghost devices, which is great for lifecycle management and troubleshooting. I also love the real-time alerts that keep us proactive by notifying us of devices or sites being down before clients reach out. The transition from reactive to predictive management has been significant. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty easy, and Auvik support is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I find device correlation frustrating. Sometimes a device is removed from production, yet alerts continue to trigger as if the IP is reassigned to a new device, but Auvik still inventories it as the old, retired device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Network Discovery with a Clean, Easy-to-Use Dashboard"
What do you like best about Auvik?

You spin up the collector, and it does a solid job sniffing out the network pretty quick. Maps out devices, connections, and traffic without you having to draw lines or hunt down every IP by hand. The dashboard's clean and straightforward—doesn't take long for a junior tech or even the old-timers to get in there and see what's healthy, what's got issues, configs backed up, alerts popping when they should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Pricing starts off okay but climbs quick once you add more sites or gear—folks talk about it getting into serious money for bigger setups, and smaller shops or clients with light hardware can feel the pinch hard. Support used to be lightning-fast; these days some say it's slowed down a bit, takes longer to get answers. Mapping sometimes gets wires crossed between networks and needs fixing, and it ain't the lightest thing running on your collector hardware. I've heard gripes about pushy sales or billing gotchas after the trial wraps up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Network Visibility with Excellent Customization"
What do you like best about Auvik?

I love how Auvik gives me the insight into my network that I was lacking. I can see trends that I was previously oblivious to, which is quite an eye opener. It immediately recognizes inconsistencies and helps me make changes to reduce bottlenecks. I appreciate that it gives me advance warning about issues, which means I don't have to wait for an end user to report them. The notifications are an integral part of keeping my network and servers healthy. Auvik's customization is great; I can have it alert me to very specific things, like when a printer runs out of paper in another office, and it's just as easy to filter out unwanted notifications. It's comprehensive and really important for my monitoring. The ease of use and customization options make it very valuable to me. I can customize notifications to focus on the items that matter most to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I had a few issues initially setting up monitoring for Cloud services, but support was able to help. There were also a few issues during the initial setup, though the dedicated onboarding engineer was extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Auvik’s Network Map and Fast, High-Quality Alerts"
What do you like best about Auvik?

I really like Auvik’s network map feature and how quickly it provides network information. I receive alerts from this service faster than some of my other, more locally developed monitoring services, which I think speaks to the quality of its alerting. The support infrastructure has also been amazing; my requests are usually answered nearly the same day, and I’m almost always able to implement what I want to in Auvik. I also appreciate how easy it is to use SNMPv3, which was a requirement for any kind of network monitoring service for me. The large number of alerts helps key me into any and all network changes which is essential to security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

I think that it can be very cumbersome to navigate the densely layered menus. I think also some of the documentation is lacking on vital features but support bridges that gap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
