"A Convenient Authentication Solution with Room to Improve Advanced Configuration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

I like the way Auth0 makes the authentication and management of users more comfortable through the use of social logins, multifactor auth, and single sign-on options. The dashboard is easy to navigate, but the adjustment of specific settings may be overwhelming. The product is customizable and provides options for programming languages, as well as being compatible with different frameworks and databases. However, the implementation of auth may present some difficulties sometimes. Documentation is well-developed to help the user get familiarized with the product faster, though it takes time to configure the software. Thus, it decreases the coding and implementation efforts, but the product may become expensive in high volumes of requests. Moreover, advanced security features like detection of suspicious activity protect data and provide an extra level of safety, but the utilization of such instruments depends on how actively one uses Auth0’s AI instruments. What do you dislike about Auth0?

Although the interface and general setup are rather intuitive, some particularities may prove challenging to IT managers. Setting up the enterprise-level authorization and custom access rules may take considerable time and effort. The pricing model also appears to be less than optimal, as the more users need to be added, the higher the cost per user becomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Auth0 Makes Secure Authentication Fast with Best-in-Class Documentation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

The biggest advantage of Auth0 is how quickly it lets you get secure authentication up and running. The documentation is among the best I’ve come across, which made our initial onboarding and setup extremely smooth and fast. From an integration perspective, the broad set of SDKs and the out-of-the-box social connections meant we could plug it into our existing tech stack with minimal effort, without having to reinvent the wheel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

The dashboard is extremely powerful, but the UI can feel a little overwhelming for first-time users because there are so many configuration options. Also, although the free tier is very generous, pricing can ramp up fairly quickly once you move into the paid tiers and your MAUs increase. Accessing more complex enterprise features may require moving to custom pricing tiers, and standard support response times can sometimes feel slow if you’re not on an Enterprise plan. "Fast, Secure User Logins Without Building a Backend"
5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

I love how easy it is to set up secure user logins without having to build a backend system. It helps keep my apps safe right away, and I don’t have to write code for password resets or user sign-ups.

When I log into my account, I can click Applications in the left-side menu to start a new project. From there, I hit the Create Application button and choose Native for my phone builds. Then I just copy the key values and paste them into my code file. It’s very easy to use.

I also use it to review my user list. I go to User Management on the left side, click Users, and I can see everyone who has created an account. If someone gets locked out, I can fix their details in just a couple of quick clicks.

It works great every time and saves me hours of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

The dashboard runs slow when I try to make quick changes. I open my account and click Settings on the left tab, but the main screen takes too long to load. Finding simple options inside the top menu takes too many clicks.

I also cannot test my login code offline when my web connection drops. My app testing stops completely. Exporting my user list is another headache. I click User Management on the left tab and pick Users, but I cannot find a quick download button. I had to look up extra steps just to pull email lists for my campaign proposals and course launch materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Auth0 Streamlines Identity Management with Flexible, Smooth Login"
4/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

What I like most about Auth0 is how much more organized it makes identity management and user authentication. Rather than building and maintaining separate sign-in systems for each application, Auth0 offers a centralized approach that keeps everything consistent. Features such as Universal Login, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and customizable Actions add the flexibility needed to meet different access requirements without overcomplicating the setup. I also value the smooth sign-in experience, especially from a sales and marketing perspective, because unnecessary friction during login can negatively impact users’ overall digital experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

Working with the basic configuration is fairly straightforward, but things can get more complicated once you move into advanced customization. In particular, customizing login flows and configuring actions often requires additional technical knowledge. At times, it can also take extra time to track down the right documentation for a specific use case. As active users and feature needs grow, it also becomes important to keep a close eye on pricing, especially when planning for long-term growth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Identity Management with a Steeper Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

What I like most about Auth0 is how it streamlines complex authentication and authorization setups, saving developers months of effort that would otherwise go into building and maintaining custom infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

The main drawback is the pricing, which can increase quickly as your user base grows. Advanced configurations may also feel complex for first-time users, and certain customization options require a deeper understanding of Auth0’s architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible authentication, ready in a day without own infrastructure"
5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

I like the ease and flexibility of Auth0, and the different ways to integrate it into my applications, whether in an API or on the frontend. I can try it in the free version and progress through memberships according to the project's requirements; I feel it grows with me. It also saves me from having to maintain infrastructure for this logic, reduces implementation time, and allows me to manage permissions and scopes directly, without changing the code. The initial integration was very easy: in one day we already had it working, tested, and delivered to the testing team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A strong option for B2B, Organizations, and more advanced access control"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

Auth0 works well for me because it saves us from building authentication from scratch and, more importantly, from building it badly. The documentation also leaves a strong impression. Adding authentication to a new app usually means juggling SDKs, redirects, callbacks, token handling, and environment configuration. With Auth0, that whole setup feels fairly straightforward. I would not say identity is ever completely simple, because it is not, but the platform feels designed for developers who need to move fast without getting bogged down by confusing docs. Universal Login is probably what simplifies things the most for us. Rather than maintaining our own login screen and worrying about every security edge case, we can delegate a big part of that flow and focus on integrating it properly into the product. For a development team, that translates into less sensitive code to maintain and less risk around something that really needs to be done right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

The learning curve really becomes noticeable once you start working on the more advanced side of the platform—Organizations, enterprise SSO, FGA, scopes, claims, machine-to-machine tokens, and multi-tenant flows. The basic setup can move quickly, but getting real value out of the full ecosystem takes time and some effort. I don’t see that as a flaw; it’s simply part of working with identity at a serious level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Auth0 Makes Secure Authentication Easy for a Beginner Developer"
5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

What’s most helpful to me about Auth0 is the security it provides for my developing applications. As a beginner web developer, I aspire to offer services that protect my clients’ information, and Auth0 gives me the reliability I need to feel confident about that. Making sure each user is properly authenticated as they register for my services is extremely important to me, and Auth0 provides that level of safety. The UI is easy to add to my projects. The integration of the Auth) service is quick and simple. The performance regarding the safety of my application is assuring to my customers. The price for complete access to all Auth0 services is affordable and I'm sure to implement them once my product requires it. The setup support for my account was clear and understandable. I was able to complete the process fast. I haven't used any of the AI capabilities yet however I am glad that the services are there if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

There were several areas where I needed a little extra help with understanding how to use the feature but through reading and researching, I was able to construct my account the way I needed. As my project grows and develops I will be revising my account settings with the assistance of the AI services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Customizable Authentication with Clunky Access Controls"
5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

Auth0 makes secure login and customer info collection extremely easy and customizable. I like the generous free offering and the ability to pay as I grow. The branding and customization are amazing, and the configurations are very easy to work with. Setup was very easy with the AI prompt—I asked my agent to set it up, and it took minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

I find it confusing to understand API management and access controls when one app needs to use another. Granting access between an API and an app so it can read roles feels clunky, and I think it could be easier and more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Authentication, Easy Integration"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Auth0?

I love how Auth0 simplifies authentication and enhances security by providing features like SSO, MFA, and social logins, significantly reducing deployment time. The platform is highly flexible and supports multiple integrations, including standards like OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML, making it easy to connect with different applications and services. The initial setup was pretty simple and seamless; we didn't face any difficulties. I appreciate how Auth0 centralizes identity management across multiple applications, which makes it easier to manage users, reduce security risks, and scale as our organization grows. Integrating with cloud platforms like AWS, Google, and Microsoft Azure has streamlined our authentication processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auth0?

I find it frustrating that I need a separate login page for each application, even though Auth0 is supposed to centralize identity management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
