**What do you like best about Attribution?**

Attribution App transformed our marketing analytics with precise multi-touch attribution modeling. The platform clearly shows how each marketing channel contributes to conversions, helping us optimize our ad spend more effectively. Special mention to Cameron Horton, who provided exceptional support throughout the onboarding process and made implementation seamless. The real-time dashboard and customizable reporting features have become essential tools for our marketing strategy.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

While the platform is excellent overall, the initial data integration process required some technical coordination with our dev team. However, the support team was very responsive and helped us work through any challenges quickly.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribution App solves the critical challenge of understanding how our various marketing touchpoints contribute to final conversions. Before implementing their solution, we struggled to accurately measure the impact of our upper-funnel marketing efforts and relied heavily on last-click attribution. Now we can clearly see the complete customer journey and understand how each channel influences purchasing decisions. This has allowed us to optimize our marketing budget allocation, resulting in better ROI and more informed decision-making across our paid social, email, and display campaigns. The platform has essentially eliminated the guesswork from our marketing attribution, helping us invest more confidently in channels that truly drive results.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

My favorite part of Attribution is the ability to get comprehensive detailed view of traffic, and easily customize views and drill down into traffic sources and campaigns. It was easy to integrate with Segment to get our data imported. Setting up custom rules to isolate particular traffic sources is great. And easily switching between different attribution models to better understand contribution to revenue.

Depending on your data inputs, it may take a bit of setup to get revenue data correctly set up. Attribution offered consistent support throughout onboarding to help us get our data streams and filters set up correctly.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

The only downside I've experienced so far is that it can sometimes take a while for views to load.

Attribution helps us see how different traffic sources and marketing campaigns are contributing to revenue.

Attribution was easy to set up, and gave immediate insights onto our marketing and sales metrics. Compared to other solutions and consulting services, i was the eaisest to set up while providing the flexibility needed. Team was great to work with and supportive during onboarding also!

only thing is that it's tough to get retroactive data, so historical attribution prior to standing up attribution was tough

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

Our experience with Attribution has been great so far. Their support team has been quick to reply and helpful in all of our interactions. We've been using their product to tackle our attribution challenges, fine-tuning our data to gather valuable insights, and using our marketing budget wisely. Cameron has been super helpful in making sure we have our data export set up nicely to GCS.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

I haven't experienced any downsides. The app works great and tells us what we need.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our attribution challenges. We used to struggle to accurately track and attribute customer interactions across our various marketing channels. It made it difficult to measure the effectiveness of all of our marketing efforts and allocate the resources efficiently. Now we can better track customer touchpoints, understand the impact of each mkt channel, and make better data-driven decisions. 
We are able to make smarter, better-informed decisions that drive more profitable results for our business.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

I've worked with every analytics tool out there and Attribution is the only tool that can actually do multi-touch attribution.
* Easy to integrate with DP, ad platforms, warehouse, rETL, etc.
* Ad spend automatically imported down to the lowest level of granularity
* Highly customizeable dashboard to lay out marketing channels that align with how you view your business
* Evaluate ad spend based on lookback window AND forward looking. The main dashboard can answer both questions:
      * "In Q2, I had X conversions and $Y revenue. How much did I spend to get these results? Which channels/ads were most effective?"
      * "In Q2, I spent $X on ads. How many conversions and revenue did that yield? Which channels/ads were most effective"
* Other tools may be able to attribute simple ecommerce, where a visitor clicks on an ad, visits the site, and makes a one-time purchase. But only Attribution has settings to account for free trials, SAAS, etc. where customers come to the site directly before making a purchase.
* Excellent team - eager to hop on a call and answer questions. Excited to work with customers to improve the product and tackle complicated data solutions

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

Their documentation is lacking and should be updated. Fortunately, you can reach out to their team and speak directly with a specialist who will readily give a demo and personalized help for your business. But there should be a better resource to quickly remind yourself of definitions, etc.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribution allows me to see how ads are actually performing. Ad platforms take 100% credit for any conversion they touch so the numbers are inflated. Other analytics tools can say how many visitors and conversions an ad is associated with, but not how much we spent to get them. Clients are shocked at how low their ROAS is in their paid channels.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

Like many marketers, I was told that GA4 would solve my attribution problems. Not so, hence the need for a standalone solution like Attribution App. I use Attribution every day and what I love about it is that it integrates directly with all the major Ad platforms, Segment, and importantly for us, Stripe. One of the primary questions I wanted answers to was, "Where is my organic traffic coming from and how much revenue does each URL or user pathway generate?" Easy to answer with Attribution - impossible to answer with GA4. Additionally, David, the CEO, and his team at Attribution (including Cameron) helped us work directly with our AE at Segment to get the best possible plan for our implementation needs. Once Attribution helped us with this, Cameron did a fantastic job of onboarding us and training me on how to set up Dashboards and reports in Attribution. Hands down some of the best SaaS onboarding I've had.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

It's clear that the team at Attribution is actively working on and improving their product. That being said, I have no major dislike or gripe with their product or platform. It helps me get answers to my top-of-funnel conversion rate and revenue questions. The only negatives I've experienced are that dashboards and data sometimes take a while to load. But this is understandable given how much data a report can sometimes consume, especially if the lookback period is longer than 90 days.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribution App solves our Attribution problems. When running cross-channel inbound and outbound marketing initiatives, I need a clear picture of what's converting, and what isn't, and based on that information allocate resources and budget - Attribution solves all of this. Additionally, Attribution helps us tie revenue directly to certain users and user sessions. This granularity is important especially when you're trying to determine how much revenue a blog post generates or how well an ad channel or referral source is at converting.

Having the ability to get name based attribution is a helpful and necessary. To not only measure data or leads, it allows you to attach the name of that lead to the pathway. Getting the platfrom setup is pretty reasonable for its capability. The team is always helpful and provide good service.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

Not being able to export data to measure against client tools is one missing feature. Tracking phone calls would be greatly valuable.

Attribution as it's name says allows to identify paid and organic attribution. It allows us to measure the effectivness of our marketing efforts. It allows us to see the linear pathway of a customer journey, which goes well beyond the data platforms like Google or Meta provide.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

I found that the onboarding process was great and that their team was willing to go the extra mile to help us be successful with their product. Their product works great and helped us solve the customer attribution issue we had been trying to resolve for over a year with just a few hours of our time. They integrate easily with both Segment and Stripe which was a huge plus for us.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

Due to the complexity of our situation, we also needed to use Segment with Attribution to get everything in order, luckily we already were using this product but I can see this being an issue depending on the customer.  It happened to work well for us in our use case.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribution helped us solve our customer attribution problem. We are now able to follow a customer's journey from a blog post to them signing up with us in the app. This enables us to make informed decisions about our content marketing instead of shooting in the dark. It also has enabled us to attribute value to our content and see which blogs generate the most value which has been a huge win as a company. With this new knowledge, we can test different markets we are trying to target and have data to back whether or not that campaign was a success.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

Attribution has many built in integrations that work well if the user has a faily straightforward e-commerce website and is using mainstream platforms like Google Analytics, Hubspot, Stripe etc. It's all fast and easy to setup with little technical knowledge required to get it up and running. The support team is very helpful and quickly responds with a solution to handle most things.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

If your use case is less typical, the methods required to get things to work without a built in integration is quite high. There wasn't great documentation around the API and a we required a lot of emails and calls to get certain leads and events to track properly.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribution givs our company a single place to check on how we are doing as a company and lets us know where we can adjust ad spend to optimize for more conversions.

The onboarding has been so personalized and very helpful. The team has gone above and beyond any cookie-cutter onboarding we are all used to experiencing.
During the whole process, it felt like the Attribution team was an extension of my team, committed to getting us up and running.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

This is not a dislike, rather something I didn't consider at the beginning.
I was able to easily connect Hubspot without any engineering resources from my team but after seeing the data I learned that I would get a better view if I connected directly to our saas product. This just took a bit more work and involvement from others on my team. It was still easy to do but required developer support I didn't have personally.

Attribution allows us to see all marketing channels' performance in one place. Having a single view will help us make educated decisions for future spend.

The ability to change filters, channels, groupings of data is great! You don't feel locked into how you first set it up. The UI is easy to learn! Implementation can be a bit tricky but the team was quick to help us! We use it everyday & can't wait to see what nuggets we find.

At times it can be very slow to load new data or change views.

We had no multi touch attribution & no visbility into the customer journey. Right off the bat, Attribution gave us visbility into both.

Attribution helps us optimize our marketing efforts every month. The platform provides an in-depth look into how each advertising channel performs and how our marketing budget generates ROI. It's super simple to integrate with our ad platforms, like Facebook and Google, to track and analyze data across all of our marketing channels. In addition, the customer support team has always gone above and beyond for us.

There are no downsides. While it may require a technical resource to implement conversion tracking, even a fairly unsophisticated user can get insights from their ad spend with Attribution.

I wish there was a little more ability to track several KPIs, and a little more flexibility with downloading custom reports.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

I've used Attribution App with 4 or 5 companies of varying sizes & use cases:

- The UI is accurate with the data inputs
- The API seems sturdy based on my Reverse ETL projects.  
- The WH Export feature is great if you have higher volume data that you'd like to model in a more hands-on way.  
- The integrations make cost imports easy for tools like Google ads, Bing, Facebook, etc.
- The technical support has been awesome to work with on all the projects I've been on - ESPECIALLY Serge & Cameron!
- If you connect with them they'll help you figure out how to address your custom needs a majority of the time -- when they can't help they'll put you in touch with someone who can.
- For a lot of implementations I was able to test in a Sandbox account before the live upload so that I could test and know for sure the tool was set up correctly.
- Great compatibility for companies using Segment CDP.
- Very easy to implement (even easier with Segment).

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

- I recall having some issues with the LinkedIn ads cost integration though I think a lot of people have trouble with LinkedIn Ads API in general
- This is a rare issue but for higher volume companies (and by high I mean like 40M visits per month or higher) the UI can be kind of slow -- however, you can still export to your warehouse and model in Viz Tools if this poses an issue.
- Documentation is good but could be better in a couple of areas for the more techy implementations.  
- I'd recommend scheduling at least 1 onboarding call with a technical person on the Attribution App team to walk through how to implement your specific requirements to learn about any gotchas.
- Make sure at least 1 of your team members dives deep on the tool as the internal SME -- it definitely makes a difference since Attribution is an already complex subject

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attribution allows teams without a lot of available tech resources to quickly setup a sophisticate Multi-Touch Attribution reporting infrastructure.

If you have a warehouse and some solid data modelers you can export touches, conversions, costs, etc to the warehouse for even more hands-on analysis.

Their ad integrations are sooo easy to use to actually see you ROI on campaigns without a tons of hassle or manipulation.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

I've worked in the attribution space for years, and Attribution is the only tool that successfully achieved the outcomes I was looking for. 

Its out of the box functionality to tie an ad click to spend saved tedious tracking work, thus freeing up my clients for more worthwhile analysis. Furthermore, I love its ability to track revenue tied to conversion, but also the user's LTV, which enabled me to make more actionable decisions about marketing investments long term vs. short term.  Being able to choose which attribution model I want to analyze data with as well as update my look back and even look forward windows was something no other product or manual analysis was going to provide me. 

This tool is a great investment.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

UI/UX is a bit rudimentary, but having access to the underlying data to add to warehouse has helped me leverage the data set beyond the UI.

Attribution App has been great for us. Since onboarding the platform, we've had true attribution data. Before, we could not truly gauge how effective each channel of marketing was. Now we have insights into every channel: affiliate, social media advertising, direct mail, programmatic, search advertising, organic, and more.
We also love that there are so many ways to easily integrate, implement, and set-up the platform.
Customer service has been great. Super knowledgable and very helpful.

Working with both product and marketing teams you often hear the empty promises of GA4  being the primary attribution solution. Where GA4 falls short, Attribution shines in its usability, event dropdowns, and channel groupings. I've built a lot of channel groupings in GA & GA4 but the ability to build custom groupings with ease is very refreshing and easy to use!

Can be tricky to audit and debug while reviewing the data pass into Attribution App.

Attribution provides a multi-touch attribution solution that read's in both client and server side events. This flexibility makes it very easy to connect data from my CDP.

The level of granularity to which the click string is tracked. It goes down to the campaign level, has time-stamped data per click, and also integrates cost seamlessly for most channels. It makes building a custom attribution model from the click data very doable.

There are times where the UI can load slowly or time out if you are looking at a massive data set with an extensive date range.

We are trying to build a more accurate click-based attribution model to accompany our last-click model. The data should be customizable (if we know the value of a conversion, and if the conversion value is missing, we should be able to just enter it without engineering involvement)

Reporting should be more advanced- It is not straightforward to pull data from the platform. Every tab should have a CSV export option.

Conversion reporting works great with Segment events, but it doesn't work for off-site lead events. (For example, it doesn't track our Linkedin lead ads, Facebook lead ads)

We are not allowed to customize reporting view on the dashboard. (For example, I can't see signups next to purchases. these are two different pulls)

No real-time tracking.

Basically reporting and analytics design is not ideal for me.

Attribution App is great for any company that wants to build an analytics and measurement foundation.

I thought I would like the integration to segment.com, but it isn't done properly. Even when data is flowing in, it won't confirm that the segment.com integration is successful.

- We found a decent amount of bugs, but some were fixed over time.
- Pages can take up to 1 minute to load, navigating through this platform will surely test your patience.
- The payment processing didn't work, it didn't allow new credit cards added, the process took several weeks.
- We were charged the wrong amount, but the company rectified it quickly.

With respect to our Segment integration - there are two ways you can check if Segment is connected in the platform. See below: 

a. Under settings in the 'Integration Instructions' tab - you can see that 'events' has a green checkmark next to it.
b. Under the 'Dashboard Overview' tab - there is a dropdown menu for events - here you can see all of your Segment events.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

Super easy to use. The interface is very clean and user-friendly. We set it up via the integrations with SEGMENT and it was a breeze: No need to involve any developer if you know how to add Attribution as a destination in Segment.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

Overall, not much to dislike, it's a good solution. It would be nice to have a live onboarding session with a customer success manager but not a big deal. Integrations are the main opportunity for improvements: I can't wait to be able to pull data from platforms like Criteo or the Trade Desk. I do feel like the data is not flowing as fast as I would like sometimes into the interface.

**Recommendations to others considering Attribution:**

Make sure you use UTM parameters for all the ads served by platforms that don't already have an integration with ATTRIBUTION.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get a clean dashboard of our spending and ROAS on paid channels. It helps spot what channels/campaigns are outperforming or underperforming. We finally get a better idea of what touchpoints are most useful within the user journey.

Revenue Tracking! We are able to track how much revenue our marketing campaigns are earning. With Attribution we are doing this much more accurately. We also REALLY enjoy their level of customer service and attention to their customers. Attribution has very short turnaround times and it doesn't take long to hear back from them. Nothing as of yet. Any small improvement myself or my team has shared, Attribution was very quick to respond and in some cases, began implementing these changes right away.

Omni-channel attribution. Before Attribution, we only gave credit to "Last Touch", which didn't give credit to our customers' entire digital journey. However with Attribution, we are able to see the level of influence each marketing channel has on each other. Also, we recently integrated our Direct Mail PURL campaign into the platform and we are starting to see how much omni-channel attribution we truly have and which channels help push lead conversion.

We needed to setup an attribution platform fairly quickly before launching our company and website.  The platform was easy to setup and integrate with Shopify, FB, Google, and other 3rd party ad platforms.  We were able to see results by source and campaign type, and change attribution model to see how it impacts results.  Most of the metrics (sales, clicks, user-level-data) are fairly accurate.  I've been using the platform for 5 months now and so far it has all the features we need.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

I don't have any strong dislikes, however there are some minor areas that could use some polishing.  It's more in the UX space than functionality.  The data picker tends to reset or doesn't remember my last setting, so I have to remember to set it before analyzing the data.  The company has been super responsive to our input and making adjustments to the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Attribution:**

This is a great tool that give you the insight you're looking for w/o taking a big chunk of your budget.

We directionally rely on the campaign performance from  the various digital marketing platforms we use to drive sales, however a lot of these platforms tend to be very optimistic when attributing sales.  Since we run multiple ad campaigns simultaneously, most of these platforms are taking credit for the same conversion.  Attribution has helped paint a more realistic picture on who gets how much of each credit.

Initially we didn't like not being able to see conversion paths but one of the latest feature updates fixed that. We were also not able to fully get the Cohort functionality to sync and attribute revenue from Stripe for our subscribers.

The most helpful feature we found was finding out how successful any new Facebook campaign was. It was good to have another system outside of Facebook to attribute sales to new campaigns to know if they were successful or not.

Gives us really solid multi-channel attribution, and let's us drill down super granularly. Super helpful to be able to segment and drill down by channel (fb, google, search), campaigns + assets, paths, and utms. After we spent a few minutes defining all our channels, we had full-picture of where we spent and made money. It's our source of truth for attribution, and check it almost daily. Easy to setup, took a couple minutes. Support team is incredibly responsive and helpful.

Nothing. Product is great, easy to set up, and great support.

Attribution was easy to set up and use. Love their integrations to LinkedIn, Facebook, Google, and others…we now have one unbiased source to track and compare conversion performance of our ad channels.  No more frustration with the conversion “math” from the different ad platforms! Also their customer support is awesome. Ryan and his team have consistently gone out of their way take care of our needs.

If I have to put something down, my only dislike (and I think they are working on this, but some of it could be out of their control) is that some times we’ve had latency in how fast the app refreshes results. Again, I think there are other causes beyond Attribution, but they’re looking into this.

Educate yourself on multi-touch attribution as using a tool like Attribution’s means you’re going to have to change how you measure, compare and spend with competing ad platforms.

As a digital business in a super competitive market, we spend a ton on paid media to reach and convert businesses to paying customers. Up until we installed Attribution, we’ve been “optimizing” (though not well) our ad spend by collecting the performance data from all the ad platforms. I would say Attribution has solved two problems. First, we’re saving time and headache trying to piece together all the data from Google, Facebook and others. Attribution does this inside their platform and tells us how all our ad channels are really converting. The biggest benefit is we get more conversions (paying customers!) with the same or less ad spend.

It was an extremely quick setup that was well documented by their team. Pricing was also transparent and visible on site, didn't have to waste time jumping on a demo call or reaching out before we could trial the app and see if it would be a good fit for us.

Not much. Load speeds have improved recently, but theres still some room for performance improvements. We use the app in Australia, which is middle of the night in the US at times when backups typically run. However their team has been great improving this when requested and is very helpful on support.
 
It would be nice if we got email reports as well.

Give this product a try! You'll likely save heaps of time and money compared to other legacy solutions on the market.

Matching events with traffic sources. I mainly look at where our signups and paid conversions come from but really it works for any event.

We've looked at a lot of different analytics services and nothing comes close to the ease of use and value of Attributionapp.

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

The flipside of ease of use is a lack of customization, there's a few cuts of the data I'd like to see that I cannot.  

**Recommendations to others considering Attribution:**

This is a great straightforward tool that gives a simple dashboard with easy configurability to look at all link-based marketing efforts in one place.  The addition of integrations for major advertising partners is an added benefit.

**What problems is Attribution solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better use of marketing spend and tracking customers across potential acquisition channels.  Before this tool we always had concerns about which channels had the most conflict and now we have very easy to see data showing where most of our cross-over occurs.

- Integrates really nicely with Segment.com
- Easy to add referral and UTM based traffic
- Integrates with a whole suite of integrations such as Google, Facebook, AdRoll and even services like Friendbuy
- Awesome customer support and sales (Ryan!)

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

- No impression beacons
- Not a lot of improvements or changes in past year or two aside from a few more integrations
- Not a super great way of visualising the specific customer touch-points for a conversion if touched by multiple sources

Evaluate for 30 days - easy to get started with Segment integration

We use it to keep track of a few sources of conversions and how they work together (eg: Affiliate vs. Organic Search)

For large data sets, performance / refresh rate is sometimes slower than expected.

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

Attribution App allows us to track the ROI on any event, whether conversions, email signs ups, or add to cart, across a number of marketing channels. They've also helped us build integrations with partners where integrations didn't exist and segment our unattributed traffic into buckets

**What do you dislike about Attribution?**

We spend a lot on facebook and know that view through conversions are a real thing. It's no fault of this app since facebook does not surface this data over their API, but even when using a first click method, the ROI for facebook in particular is usually lower than the reality.

It helps us decide where to put marketing dollars and optimize campaigns across channels

**What do you like best about Attribution?**

The ability to track the efficiency of my marketing campaigns and accurate ROAS.
We are now able to see which marketing channels is generating the most revenue and consequently adjust our strategy.

There are some bugs but Ryan is always available to help and fix those.

The ability to track revenue for each marketing campaign
Look for specific users and find out where they come from (first touch basis)
