"Easy-to-Share Video Collaboration, but No Live Meetings"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I like that Loom lives as a Chrome extension, so it’s really easy to launch and record my screen. I can share videos by embedding them in emails, websites, or anywhere an HTML embed link works, or by sharing them as publicly available links. I also use Loom to turn emails and long-winded documents into short, bite-sized videos that support better communication and collaboration with prospects and existing customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I wish Loom allowed us to host virtual meetings. It seems like a logical next step to let us connect on video, like with Zoom or Google Meet, while recording. That would make it more collaborative. The initial setup was a little tricky for our organization, especially authorizing and provisioning users and getting people to install the Chrome extension, though generally it was pretty easy. "Easy-to-Create Training Videos, with Sharing Quirks"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use Loom to make training videos for colleagues, especially new hires. I can walk someone through a scenario or process in my own words while showing it on the screen, and most people find it much easier to learn from a video than a document. It’s very easy to set up, and I feel confident that it’s recording the right screen. I like that Loom usually does a very good job of auto-generating a title, and that I can share videos I made years ago with new colleagues. The Chrome extension also lets me quickly make a video anytime. We tried Loom and loved it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Sharing videos can be a little weird sometimes, and I have to double-check that they’re actually shared with everyone in my company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Async Sharing, but Recent Slowdowns Frustrate"
3/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I find Loom really easy to use. Employees can start recording their screen right away, and it’s simple to onboard team members, both as non-paying users and creators. I can easily share company notes and processes between people, share links, and comment on videos. The browser extensions are great, and the AI features for summaries are really quite good. Loom replaces a lot of meetings and works great for asynchronous team members across different time zones. I also really enjoy the Loom Slack plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Recently, I’ve found that Loom has become a lot slower and sometimes hangs a little bit. I’ve noticed this across my environment and with different colleagues. Since it was merged into Atlassian, I’ve also found it a little more difficult to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Time-Saving Communication—Though Long Videos Lag"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use Loom to record my screen and voice for work. It saves me time because I can explain things with a screen recording instead of writing messages or scheduling long meetings. I can easily share updates and give feedback. I like that recording my screen makes things easier to explain and makes communication easier. Loom makes communication more efficient and personal, and I can pause, record, and share videos instantly with a simple link. It’s simple to use, and I found it easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I find that long videos take a long time to load, upload, and process. I’d also like more editing options and filters in Loom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Time-Saving Video Messaging—But Increasingly Unaffordable"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use Loom to send customers videos about troubleshooting, new features, and other parts of our product. It saves me and my customers time because I don’t have to jump on a call. Loom is easy to use, and I love the Chrome extension because I can start recording right away, then quickly get a link and send it out. I like the editor and being able to remove things I don’t need to show, attach a transcript, and let viewers add reactions. I also get a notification when a customer watches a video, so I can confirm they’ve seen it. The interface is really well built, and they’re always adding new features. I found Loom extremely easy to set up, and I appreciate being able to join colleagues’ teams and see what they’re sending to customers. My customers enjoy the videos too. I really love Loom; it’s my favorite software on the market right now, and I’d definitely recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I’m on a paid plan, but I don’t have access to many of the AI features because they’re behind paywalls. Cropping a video in the editor can also be a little tedious and difficult. Loom is has gotten a bit unaffordable since being bought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Video Messaging, But Embedding Needs Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I like how simple and easy Loom is to use for recording videos. The Chrome extension makes recording videos easy in that context. I could log in with my Google account and get started within a few minutes. I also find Loom helpful for getting important messages across without long, wordy documents, especially with clients and in sales. For prospecting, I can send a video instead of a traditional outbound email, which is often ignored or skipped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I wish embedding videos in Loom was a little easier. I’d like to be able to embed a Loom video in an email or have more embedding options in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick Screen Recording Makes Explaining Work and Sharing Updates Effortless"
4/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I ended up using a lot in Loom is the quick screen recording feature. Explaining stuff while working is way easier this way. Whenever I show bugs, walk through feature requests, or give project updates, a short Loom video does the job better than a bunch of written text. It saves everyone time too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Loom irritates me because bigger recordings don't process fast enough, especially when I need to share them right away. Also, the free plan feels limiting once I record videos regularly. Many helpful features are only in the paid versions, so switching to those becomes necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Video Sharing with Loom"
4/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I used Loom for recording video and screensharing, and I appreciate its simplicity. Unlike Zoom, which was getting complicated and required making a call, Loom allows me to just record, create a public link, and share it. I like the public link sharing feature because it lets me share videos with a link without actually exporting them. Also, the initial setup of Loom was pretty easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

the bigest annoyance with loom is the notifictions honestly. it keeps sending emails and popups wen someone views ur video or leaves a comment. gets quite distracting wen ur trying to focus on work. they shoud definitly give more control over notification settings.

also the editing features are very basic like u can only do simple trimming and cuts. if u want to do anything slightly advanced like adding text overlays or cutting multiple parts u just cant do it. for a video tool the editing is quite dissapointing and u end up having to use another software on top of it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Video Capture and SOP Creation, Though Note-Taking Falls Short"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I love that I can turn video transcripts into standard operating procedures and edit clips to share specific highlights with stakeholders. Loom is easy to use, and the Chrome extension lets me record anything anytime. Connecting to Confluence saves us time and makes it easy to summarize videos and create quick, accessible notes for everyone. The initial setup was really easy, and Loom support quickly resolved our dual-domain issue with sharing videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I don’t like using Loom for note taking because I think other AI note takers do a better job. We also have a unique dual-domain issue that can cause complications when sharing videos, though Loom support resolved it quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One-Click Recording and Sharing with Loom—A Freelancer Favorite Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

The best part about loom is that you can just easily record video and share with anyone. I am a freelancer so my work requires give a lot of updates about project and I am using loom for past 3 years. I just only use chrome extension. With just one click its very easy to record and share. One of the best tools I have used in my web development career. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

There are no downside but I wish it could give limit of more than 5 minutes. Many time when I record loom for give updates to client, I hit the 5 minutes limit because I don't have the paid version. So many times I had to record two videos. And one more thing that I want that in free version they should give access to atleast blur some sensitive information.
