"Brilliant for sharing web mock-ups without spinning up staging"
4/5
What do you like best about Loom?

We use Loom to share mock-ups of web pages and show functionality to team members. It's been very useful instead of spinning everything up on staging every time someone needs a walkthrough. Recording a quick video, dropping the link, and getting feedback is so much faster than deploying a half-finished build just so people can click around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

The free 25-video limit is okay, but it could be a bit higher. We've had to delete older videos just to upload new ones, and we don't really want to jump to a paid or enterprise plan for what is still fairly light use. A slightly more generous free tier would stop us having to prune the library every few weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick Video Sharing, but Limited Length and Editing"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use Loom to record short videos for my team, usually about a new feature or as instructions. It’s a quick way for us to create and share videos. I like using the Chrome extension because it’s available straight from the browser, and setup was very easy. Loom is great when I just want to make very short videos and don’t need to edit often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I find the five-minute limit on the free tier pretty restrictive because my videos often need to be longer; 10 minutes would be great. Loom’s editing features are kind of primitive, and I’d like to be able to make a change without starting the video over completely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Client Tutorials, with Room for Video Editing Improvements"
4/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I like that Loom saves me time on meetings and gives clients something tangible they can revisit without having to contact me. The auto-generated transcript is helpful, and the screen-share options make it super easy to create and share tutorials. I also like being able to show myself while recording, which makes the tutorial feel a little personal for the client even though it isn’t an actual meeting. I can share a link instead of sending bulky files, and setup was super easy—just an email sign-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

The pricing is the main thing I’d improve. I also wish there were an option to stitch videos together, so I wouldn’t have to re-record a video if there’s a disturbance at the end or the middle portion could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Video Sharing Saves Time, but Storage Limits Hold It Back"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I like that Loom is easy to use and makes it easy to create and share videos. My clients can view them with one click, and I can see whether they’ve watched a video. It helps my clients get information quickly and lets me accurately show what’s going on instead of trying to regurgitate it in an email. I can get things across quicker through video than by typing an email, and it makes communication stronger than email. Sharing is easier than with the screen recording software I used before, and the initial setup was quite simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I wish the storage options for the plans were a little bit larger on the free account so I could keep more backlogged videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loom Makes Bug Reports and Walkthroughs Fast, Clear, and Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I started using Loom mainly because explaining certain issues over a call or in a long email isn’t always practical. Recording a quick screen video with my voice is much faster and more straightforward. When I find a bug, I can show exactly how to reproduce it, what I expected to happen, and what actually happened instead. Developers usually understand the issue much more quickly after watching the recording.

I’ve also used Loom to explain testing scenarios, share automation results, and do small walkthroughs for teammates. I like that I can record, copy the link, and send it right away without worrying about uploading large video files. Overall, it saves a lot of back-and-forth and helps avoid misunderstandings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Honestly, I don’t have many complaints. Every now and then I end up recording the same video again because I miss a step or say something wrong, but that’s more on me than on the product.

For longer recordings, I do wish there were a few more built-in editing options so I wouldn’t have to switch to another tool. Other than that, it’s been straightforward and reliable whenever I’ve needed it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and perfect for sharing quick videos with a link"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

What I like most is the ease of use to create a video of a certain process you need to show or explain from an application you are using and need to share quickly with the generated link. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

In the free version, the limitation on the maximum number of videos and recording time is the only negative aspect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Screen Recording for YouTube Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

As a YouTube content creator, I like Loom mainly because I can quickly record my screen when I need to explain a software workflow, demonstrate a website, or capture something for a video. The recording process is straightforward, and features like automatic captions and titles save some editing time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

What I like least is that if I make a mistake during an important recording, I may have to restart rather than simply continuing from the exact point where I stopped. I also find the video customization options somewhat limited compared with dedicated video editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful for My YouTube Content Creation"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use this software mainly while creating editing tutorials and shopping site reviews for my YouTube channel. Features like screen recording, easy editing, annotations, and quick sharing/export are useful because I can demonstrate a process while explaining it to my audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

The basic tools are easy to use, but when I need advanced editing, detailed effects, or more control over the final video, I still prefer using a dedicated professional editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent tool for asynchronous communication in remote teams"
4/5
What do you like best about Loom?

It is a good communication tool for fully asynchronous and remote teams. This way, you can tell your colleagues what you did during the day, what doubts you have, report a bug or an observation in a more personal way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

The workspace creation system is a bit convoluted. And if someone just created a workspace with your email extension and that person is no longer in the company, you can end up in an infinite loop of not being able to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Move Work Forward with Loom—Without Extra Meetings"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

My favorite thing about Loom is the ability to move work forward asynchronously, with all the nuance I want to convey, without always needing to schedule another live meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I wish I could edit during recording, versus only after recording (which are gated features). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
