# Which Citizen Request Software platforms combine multi-channel intake with existing legacy system integration for city IT directors?

I'm researching which Citizen Request Software platforms actually combine multi-channel intake (web, phone, mobile) with real integration into the legacy systems city IT departments are often stuck maintaining. Inside Citizen Request Software, Salesforce Government Cloud, Accela, and AccessE11 stand out for this combination.

Salesforce Government Cloud: offers broad integration capability given its underlying Salesforce platform, useful for IT directors needing to connect citizen intake to other municipal systems.

Accela: built with integration in mind for permitting, licensing, and other civic systems already in use, relevant for cities with an established legacy stack.

AccessE11: supports multi-channel intake with integration options aimed at fitting into a city's existing technology environment.

MyGov: covers multiple municipal functions together, which can simplify integration compared to bolting on a standalone request tool.

For IT directors who've connected one of these to an older legacy system, how much custom integration work was actually required, and did the vendor's stated integration capability match what it took in practice?

Salesforce Government Cloud's integration work matched what we were told going in. There was still real work connecting to our permitting system, but it tracked with the original scope rather than expanding along the way.
