There is a very steep learning curve to the product. It's very nice that there are multiple ways to accomplish the same task, bit it makes it harder to train staff and identify problems since there's so many ways to do things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Applied Epic is having a centralized system for managing client accounts, policies, documents, activities, and communication. It makes it much easier to keep information organized and accessible across the agency. I especially appreciate being able to see the history of an account and quickly find the information I need, which helps streamline day-to-day servicing and improves consistency across the team. Since the most recent update, the individual application screens have become less user-friendly. There is significantly more scrolling required, and information that used to be easy to locate now feels more difficult to find. The new layout has added extra steps to routine tasks and can make navigating applications less efficient. I like how Applied Epic integrates well within all products, making it very useful for managing everyday activities in my office. I really like Applied Epic's ability to have everything in one place, which helps me a lot. I use features like the import feature, the direction reconciliation feature, and the attachments. Bank account reconciliation could be a little smoother. It's a very manual process right now, involving checking what's in Applied Epic versus what's in our bank statement. It takes a lot more steps to perform the same tasks that we were doing in the TAM program. Can't copy and paste policy #'s. Can't find out how long a customer has been with a company. I like that Applied Epic is all-in-one, making it easy to find stuff and keep records correct. It's easy to print the forms needed throughout the insurance industry. I enjoy that it's fast and internet-based, which means I can use it on the go. The Activities, Attachments, and Policy Tabs keep everything easily accessible, making it easier for me to complete work in a timely manner. They help me with accord applications and keep track of renewals so I don't miss any expiration dates. Plus, it's much faster, more convenient, and more tailored to my daily needs compared to Applied TAM. The easier formatting and smoother screen transitions make it flow better than TAM. I think there should be a conversion from BOP Accords to package Accords to make that easier. Also, I think there should be a known loss letter option within the policy feature. The initial setup of Applied Epic was extremely difficult. We had to hire a consultant to do everything for us because it wasn't easy, even though Applied Epic made it seem like it was going to be. I like that Applied Epic integrates AI into the software, making it feel cutting-edge. Having all the information in one place is a big plus for me, especially since it allows our team to access everything they need for projects easily. Applied Epic is very organized and detailed. I have grown accustomed to activity driven documentation and love how easy it is to utilize to print acords or access policy information. Several third party platforms have the ability to integrate which is nice, but we currently do not utilize the SDK integrations due to cost restraints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is expensive, but I would argue it is well worth the money. I do not love the massive "paywalls" behind features such as SDK integrations, etc. From a performance perspective, the browser version does tend to freeze up quite often causing workflow delays.
