"Centralized Client Data"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I find Applied Epic tremendously useful as a central hub for all client and policy data, effectively building a single unified client record. I appreciate its capability to eliminate reliance on paper documents by keeping a digital copy of all activities, which streamlines our operations. I like that Applied Epic truly functions as a one-stop shop for insurance agencies, offering an extensive product lineup under one roof. I also value that it is always adding or updating features, often based on user feedback, which helps keep the platform up-to-date and responsive to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

Some updates seem to be pushed out in haste before they are fully vetted and ready for agent use. Sometimes, it feels as though we are the unwitting beta testers of new products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Applied user since 1984"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Most support issues are handled quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

1.) Applied is acquiring new vendors to integrate new features, but we’d really like to see PAC requests handled faster for our users who rely on the basic EPIC functions.

2.) Many agencies and users have requested improvements, and we never seem to see them implemented. It makes us wonder why the request process exists when items are often closed as “not interested at this time.” We also end up voting for years, and nothing changes.

3.) Reporting has had the same options since we started using Epic almost 8 years ago. In TAM, we were able to pull more search fields into reports. Dashboards are nice, but they come with the same restrictions, so we still can’t get a lot of the information we need. They’re also very difficult for the average person to create quickly. "Amazing Platform with Superior Customer Support & Networking!"
5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Applied Epic is an amazing platform that not only has next-level technology but offers customer support, networking & education like no other platform/company that I have ever been a part of. They are always on the cutting edge of technology and they listen to their users! Should you find something that you think would make your work easier, all you have to do is submit it to Applied and it will be opened up to the Applied Community to vote on and subsequently be developed - it's amazing! The education opportunities go beyond the Epic database as they have offerings related to Excel, Microsoft Word and the list goes on. I now have an entire family of peers working in the same environment that I can reach out to and ask for advice on a topic or an issue that they have already encountered . . .I couldn't imagine going back to any other database for the management of my daily work!! Great job Applied Team! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lots of Functionality and Easy Navigation Once Learned"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Lots of functionality. Once learned it's easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

The accounting side during migration was not too. Too many errors and hearing well you didn't tell us you wanted that was upsetting since we were never asked what we wanted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Applied Epic has made my job easier"
3/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Applied Epic has made our workflows more efficient and they continually are improving it to add more features to help with efficiency. We were on Applied TAM before so I've only ever used Applied products but there are functions that would take me an hour plus in TAM that I can get done in 20-30 minutes in Epic. I also like how customizable it is with setting up which system events trigger activities and which do not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

Some of the steps aren't consistent. For example: sumbitting a change request on a package policy requires that you highlight each line you don't want to submit and click a radio button that changes it to "not submitted," yet in Update Stage to Submitted, you can just uncheck boxes on the lines you don't want to submit and finish out. "New Epic User Seeing Instant Agency Success"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

We love the automated reports. We are able to save so much time by having the information in our inbox when we want it. We also have set up drip marketing email campaigns from activity further actions. This is great and keeps us from having to use a third party. The work group has been great for our agency, but it definitely needs some features. We know it is new and we look forward to see how else we will be able to use it, like with unrouted attachments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

There are a lot of areas that could be simplified, have a lot less clicks. Like from the home screen. If you want to move an activity to a new date and to another person you have to right click on it twice. With TAM you could just click revise activity and do everything you want at one time. Applied University should be part of your license agreement with Epic, it shouldn't cost more. More open API integration, like with Zapier would be great. The price is also a lot, our agency is larger and can handle it, but many smaller agencies don't use Applied products for that reason and you are loosing a lifetime customer for that reason. PAC requests also seem to be slow to be implemented. There are so many great ones there that should be implemented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hands down best AMS"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Applied Epic is, in my opinion, one of the best insurance management systems available today. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making day-to-day tasks smoother and more efficient for both staff and customer service teams.

One of the standout features is the excellent support provided. The staff and customer service representatives are always responsive, helpful, and quick to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise. It's clear that there's a dedicated team continuously working behind the scenes to improve the system, consistently incorporating the latest and most effective technology and they actually understand our industry.

Overall, Applied Epic delivers a top-tier experience and sets a high standard in insurance management systems! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

Not necessarily a dislike - would love to see the ability to upload an excel in the utility area to allow users to more quickly run workload reassignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Applied Epic is always advancing in Technology and with AI becoming a large part of day to day processes Applied Epic is continually added in New features with AI and other new features updates that benefit the end users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

We are on browser now and and need to look at some browser settings but seems slower loading screens than think client and the connection suite doesn't always update properly. Updates from Microsoft break the Applied Epic Add-in for Outlook and word. Currently in the works to begin the launch of Epic Bridge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Love using Applied Epic - Tired of the glitches"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

Epic is very user friendly. The processes make sense. There are a lot of options all in one system - servicing clients, marketing, advertising, mass correspondence, mobile app and options for the client to self service.

There have been a ton of glitches lately with all of the updates they are doing. I wish they would roll out the updates slower and make sure they are done correctly without breaking other areas in Epic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

Notification to agencies when something is broken. It's frustrating to sit on the phone or wait on an email response from service to be told "that's a known issue." Sending out notifications of these known issues when they are discovered would save time for employees of both the agency and Applied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Applied Epic - User Friendly and Time Saving"
4/5
What do you like best about Applied Epic?

I think Applied Epic is incredibly user friendly; and it is not hard to understand even without training. This is incredibly helpful for busy companies who often don't have as much time to train. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Applied Epic?

I think Epic is just incredibly diverse and there are so many levels to it. There are probably so many areas that would make my life and job easier that I don't even know about. There are probably already answers to problems or difficulties I have, and I just don't know exactly how to find them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
