&lt;p&gt;ContractHero&#39;s guided onboarding leaving teams able to manage and edit contracts on their own afterward is the right model. The goal of onboarding should be independence, not creating ongoing dependency on the vendor for every subsequent workflow adjustment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For a lean team, I’d rather have a simpler CLM we can launch ourselves than a powerful one that needs months of consulting. In my experience, adoption drops fast when every workflow change has to go through an external admin.&lt;/p&gt;
