**What do you like best about Anrok?**

During the integration process, the onboarding rep who was assigned to me was very helpful with creating a seamless implementation experience. It took around an hour for the implementation to be completed. We worked with our billing software to test an invoice to make sure the sales tax was integrating between all 3 systems (our ERP system, our billing system, and Anrok). Everything worked perfectly!

Anrok makes calculating sales taxes easy for busy accountants. I like that after the month or after the quarter, Anrok will send me an email to review the sales taxes collected for the invoices. There's little involvement on my end except for the review portion which has saved me so much time that can be used to allocate in other areas of my work.

The customer support team has been pretty helpful whenever I reach out for issues. They're able to help me resolve the issues to the best of their abilities.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

I would say the response time is rather quite slow. Sometimes I catch myself waiting a couple of days for a response or even no response, so I'll need to follow up.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anrok is helping my company collect sales taxes since we weren't doing that previously. Anrok makes it seamless for the accounting team. There hasn't been any big issues that Anrok hasn't been able to resolved.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

I am not a sales tax expert, and because we are (1) a remote company with physical nexuses in a ton of states and (2) international sales, Anrok has been incredibly helpful. It integrates with our billing system and it auto generates correct tax assessments on every invoice. It also files returns, allowing me to review and hit approve. Working with state government websites and processes is incredibly depressing, so outsourcing most of the complexity to software and a team that has expertise has been remarkably high ROI. I set up a new registration for a new state one time and then Anrok handles everything else. Took maybe 2 hours of time with the implementation team to do the initial onboarding and that was it.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

You can't have 2 separate ACH methods for (1) tax payments vs. (2) the SaaS fee that I pay Anrok. We have very organized bank accounts and this means that I have to mess up some of my payment flows. I believe they are working on a fix. Also they don't integrate with every HRIS, including mine, so I have to manually upload a file periodically to check for physical nexus

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It abstracts out the complexity of state and international VAT taxes so that I don't have to worry about assessing the correct tax rate and staying compliant.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

Many of our clients have used Avalara over the years; however, ever since Anrok came about, it has made managing sales taxes for our clients much easier. Anrok has awesome customer service, the implementation is much smoother than Avalara, backfilings and registrations handled by Anrok actually get fully completed by the Anrok support team, and their head of tax is a former colleague of mine who is very sharp. 

Anrok is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

Anrok is still growing and developing new features and expanding into new sectors. As such, there is a roadmap for delivering a few more bells and whistles - though nothing foundational - that I'd like to see including integrating with additional invoicing software platforms and covering more types of products (e.g., food). However, overall it is the best solution on the market for many of my clients.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes managing sales taxes much easier for my clients.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

I really appreciate Anrok for providing all the necessary functionality and control that we need, especially at a better price point than other options we considered. Setting it up was a breeze; everything was relatively straightforward with no real difficulties, which was a welcome relief. Anrok significantly eases the management of sales tax, a task that would be incredibly complicated without its automation capabilities. I find features like the automatic management, dashboard, and alerts particularly useful. The integration with Stripe on our Webflow website works seamlessly, enhancing our overall experience. Additionally, the company's good support and the features and automation solutions they offer give us confidence and value for money.

I would prefer a lower price for Anrok.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

I really appreciate Anrok's clean and aesthetically pleasing interface. It makes my experience much more enjoyable. The navigation is straightforward, which makes the software enticing to use regularly. This ease of use contributes to its value for me, as it ensures my interactions with the platform are both efficient and pleasant.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

I notice discrepancies between Anrok and our payment processor system, particularly concerning whether tax is charged / should be charged. This inconsistency can lead to confusion in our tax processing. Additionally, despite the clean and aesthetically pleasing interface, Anrok is not always straightforward and intuitive. Sometimes it can be challenging to locate exactly what I need within the system.

Anrok has allowed us to file tax returns seamlessly and in compliance with limited effort from the team. Easy and convenient. The Anrok team is very prompt and willing to help, as they can, with any question or support tickets. Including program assistance and outside integration trouble shooting. Anytime there has been a potential issue we have been escalated to the right department and team member swiftly.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

I would love it if they offered live support. A chat or phone number you could call would be very helpful. A level of tax compliance at the lowest tier level would also be helpful for smaller companies.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anrok is allowing us to charge sales tax and file sales tax returns without fear of being out of compliance. They monitor nexus thresholds and help us manage our growing business as we enter new states.

When everything is set up, it does make it easy to get oversight on spend, where exposures lie and automates a lot of the process. Really appreciated the states that they could create our accounts for us, greatly simplified things. Took some time to get things set up but once that was done it's pretty seemless.

There are times where the platform flags something with no way to change it, such as an exposure for an employee move that's been resolved yet still shows as wrong.

Automates processes that would otherwise be a huge pain to do manually.

The platform is clean and easy to navigate.  Once sales tax registration for each state was completed, the process is running smoothly.  No issues with the integration to ChargeBee.  Friendly support

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

The sales tax registration was/is a little bumpy.  I understand that each state has different requirements, but I feel like communication could have been better through this process.  We were supposed to be up and running by July 1.  It is now November 3 and still are working on getting the last state registered.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

I like that we are only charged for applicable transactions that are subject to tax.  I also like the functionality of the dashboards in the platform.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

My main issue is that once we are subject to an applicable tax, the platform does not keep track or differentiate between the types of taxes that we are subject to. For example, sales tax should be broken out separately from excise tax or gross receipts tax or of the like.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use Avalara and they were charging based on API calls of every single invoice that goes through our ERP system. We are are starting to become compliant in the taxability of our SaaS product and Anrok charges on applicable invoices, not every invoice, which helped save us a lot of money.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

So easy to reconcile ins and outs to QBO. Whereas with my experience with other sales tax software, this was not the case. It also very easily displays your exposures/liabilities so you know exactly where you stand in each jurisdiction. Customer support is also so responsive and very helpful

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

I think sometimes the connection to QBO is a bit glitchy.. currently experiencing issues with this where the Anrok tax rate is applied in QBO but tax is not accurately calculating. I also wish it was able to use QBO invoice numbers instead of the unique transaction IDs. It would be easier for us to reconcile this way

Accurately tracks and files sales tax. This is a very nuanced thing to do manually with limited knowledge of requirements in each jurisdiction

API surface and documentation can be a bit minimal. Some lack of features around product management and import, transaction search could be improved.

Anrok with Stripe Native is solving our tax calculation, remittance and reporting. It is offloading much of our manual business logic around exemptions and certificate management as well. From the engineering perspective, this has reduced our technical debt, error rate and latency through various invoicing calls and led to fewer customer support issues.

I have found Anrok to be particularly valuable due to its efficient automation of sales tax compliance and the ability to register new states for sales tax licenses. Anrok helps automate the entire process from invoicing through to paying the tax for each jurisdiction, reducing manual intervention. The automation features, especially the seamless integration between Anrok and our invoicing tools and jurisdictional filings, are highly appreciated. These are tasks I do not wish to handle manually, and Anrok effectively manages them for me. Once set up, the product's ease of use stands out, offering a simplified approach to sales tax compliance. Moreover, the integration capabilities with other tools work well, significantly contributing to the overall user experience.

I found the onboarding experience and customer support to be underwhelming. The onboarding process lacked a hands-on approach and wasn't as helpful as I would have liked. Additionally, I found the customer support response times to be slower than expected, which made resolving issues more challenging.

I find Anrok's setup process to be very straightforward and easy, which is a big plus for me. The platform effectively manages all aspects of sales tax, including filing and remittance, which significantly simplifies my tasks. Anrok is proactive in handling compliance requirements, such as state-required annual renewals, ensuring that I don't have to worry about missing any important filings. I am impressed with its efficiency in capturing sales data and its user-friendly reporting feature, which enhances usability. The notes of jurisdictions are quite helpful as they provide clear guidance on managing state-specific requirements, including easy access to necessary usernames and passwords. Additionally, I appreciate that Anrok is cost-effective compared to other competitors in the market, which offers me financial flexibility.

I dislike that Anrok only allows me to see the filings as screenshots instead of having the ability to print or access paper copies. This could make it difficult if a state requires an official document to prove that we filed the sales tax. I think the ability to get a copy of the state official record is crucial.

I use Anrok for managing sales tax, appreciating its proactive filing capabilities and the ease of handling renewals, which saves me from manual tasks. It captures sales efficiently and simplifies reporting, making tax management seamless.

It is very easy to use and the customer support response is very fast. We get all the functions we need as well as the Sandbox.

The connection to NetSuite would need reauthentication randomly. Hope it can be a one time set up.

Anrok is solving all the requirements on sales tax and it connects to our 2 billing systems seamlessly. It helps us stay compliant and also file the tax returns for us.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

We have on a monthly basis tens of thousands of transactions per month, this includes a variety of zero dollar transactions as we offer a trial version. Other sales tax billing tools were including these zero transactions in the total fee as they indicated they are part of their tax engine, making the cost for sales tax compliance exbortant. 

Anrok is made for self serve SAAS and as they don't charge us for zero dollar transactions. The service level of their back-end tax team is always excellent (the few times we ever had issues with a State). Registration and opening a State is extremely easy and we have had no issues thus far from the last year of use. Their platform is by far the easiest to use and very straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

At the time we implemented the Stripe API integration wasn't completed so we had to use the Anrok API. Our checkout is not that seamless as we don't use Stripe billing directly. It took some development work on our end to get it to work. 

That being said, we just haven't gotten around to updating our integration to use the Stripe API, this would fix some minor issues.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

What I like best about Anrok is how seamlessly it integrates with Stripe Checkout — the setup required absolutely no coding, and it was live in our checkout flow almost instantly. The nexus monitoring is both comprehensive and incredibly easy to use, giving us clear visibility into our tax obligations. I also appreciate the value Anrok offers compared to other solutions, especially with free state registrations included. Having nexus monitoring, registration, tax calculation, and returns processing all in one platform saves us a tremendous amount of time and manual work.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

The registration service feels like it’s still a work in progress. Status updates are limited and not as clear or timely as they could be, which can make it harder to track progress. Compared to services like CorpNet’s employer registration, which provides detailed and proactive updates, Anrok’s registration experience isn’t quite at the same level yet.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anrok is helping us manage the increasingly complex landscape of sales tax compliance across multiple states. It automatically monitors nexus thresholds, registers us in new jurisdictions when needed, calculates the correct tax on each transaction, and files returns — all within one platform. This has eliminated the need to juggle multiple tools or track thresholds manually, saving us significant administrative time and reducing the risk of errors. The seamless Stripe Checkout integration also means we can stay compliant without adding friction to our checkout process, allowing our team to focus more on growth and less on tax compliance.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

I chose Anrok because it has credible customers, works well, and offered a free nexus study so I could clearly see where I had geographic and economic nexus. While it’s priced a bit higher than some alternatives and had less international coverage at the time I purchased, my main priorities were ease of use, user experience, and trust in the platform. It has delivered on all counts. Integration was very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

At the time I purchased, international coverage wasn’t as robust as some competitors, and the pricing—especially the variable component, was a bit higher than other options I considered. That said, the ease of use and overall reliability outweighed those initial drawbacks.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anrok simplifies our sales tax compliance by automating nexus tracking and the sales tax calculations. The easy integration with our billing provider ensures our tax data is accurate without adding manual work. It’s saved significant time for our team collecting sales tax and reduced the risk of compliance errors.

Plan structure's a pain. Support's basically paywalled—don't get much help unless you upgrade. Fine when it works, frustrating when you actually need someone.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

The best thing about Anrok during the sales cycle were the people. They followed up when they said they would and knowing I was going on a trip they sent me recommendations for the place I was going from someone who was from there. Nice touch. Honestly, Numeral made it seem like they were too good to speak to us and never called us back. 

Best part about the software is that it’s super easy to use compared to Avalara. Setting up tax codes needed an advanced degree and it’s a lot easier with Anrok. They have integrations with both our HR system and our accounting system, making it easy to streamline nexus and all the information to one interface. When I asked numeral about their integrations with pretty common systems, they just said they were “roadmapped” and then they completely ghosted us.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

Right now they have a pretty small team, so our state registrations are taking forever. However, we are able to get humans on the phone when we need to and they help us out. But if you email the general registrations inbox, you get a different person each time and it does take forever to get a response. And often times you get multiple responses on items that were already resolved. It’s not a dealbreaker cause it’s just a part of working with a growing company, but they offer a good product at a good price so we’re always happy to work with companies like that.

Anrock was helping us solve the problem of us working in multiple states and having to navigate the waters of both economic and physical nexus for sales tax. There was a period where there was a disconnect between Anrok and our billing platform. There were recent updates to Anrok, which broke the integration. As a result, our sales tax calculation on our invoices was very delayed. We opened a ticket with both platforms, but they pointed fingers at each other when the platforms should have communicated better.

I wish there were a more obvious way to see when a state has given us a credit or adjustment to our filings. We have to click into each return to see if any adjustments/credits were given.

Anrok makes me (a person who is not an expert in tax area) feel that our company follows the governmental requirements and is tax compliant which is very important and impressive considering how this tool automates and simplifies such a complex process. I am not worried about our tax filing since the system provides all calculation and reconciliation needed which saved us a lot of hours of manual work. 

Another great thing about Anrok which I really recommend, is the ease of integration. It offers connection to our HR system and billing platform making it again, safer and more accurate when it comes do verifying our physical or economic nexus and adding sales tax directly to the customer's invoice.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

Unfortunately I had some struggles with Anrok's support team who in the past was not replying on time or not giving me specific advice solving my issue. Also we had some filings being late due to some technicalities partially on government side. However all that has been handled and I have impression that contact with their support improved, so I hope it will stay this way.

Anrok's customer support team, specifically Saunders and Alexsandra, were particularly helpful. Even though we ran into several integration road blocks, they were both quick to respond, willing to hop on calls to help troubleshoot, and pointed us to the right people when we needed extra support. Now that we have Anrok fully up and running, it is nice to not have to worry about filings and have Anrok take care of it.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

Unfortunately, we were under the impression that the Anrok implementation process would be significantly easier than it was. The actual integration with our software was fairly simple, however we ran into several road blocks after that. For example, the Anrok team was not as knowledgable on the accounting specifics such as how to issue credits for a customer who was invoiced for sales tax but shouldn't have been charged for sales tax. We had a lot of confusion around which accounts in our accounting system would sales tax and sales tax credits fall into. To get Anrok up and running smoothly with our other systems, from end to end, probably took almost 6 months.

Prior to integrating Anrok, we were not managing sales tax. We got to a stage in our company where it became necessary so we filed VDAs and looked for an easy solution to manage our sales tax. Currently, Anrok is helping us keep track of which states we are exposed in and file returns for each of those states. The only thing we have to do is confirm returns.

Their ability to track jurisdiction thresholds is particularly useful, clarifying that I exceeded limits in only three jurisdictions instead of the twenty initially indicated by my Stripe tax dashboard. I found the onboarding process to be problematic due to its assumptions about our business and mailing addresses. This created unnecessary challenges, especially since some states only handle correspondence via mail. We weren't there to receive these correspondences because the business is registered in a location where my partner and I don't regularly reside. Additionally, the support offered by Anrok was quite unhelpful when addressing these postal issues, essentially telling us to figure it out on our own. This lack of support was disappointing. Furthermore, the initial setup meeting was frustrating. I was unprepared due to the lack of a clear list of tasks I should have completed beforehand. It would have been beneficial to have a simple, detailed list of required actions once I signed up. Finally, it felt like a gotcha when I figured out that the number of nexus thresholds I hit was much lower than Stripe indicated only after I signed the contract.

I like that Anrok integration with Netsuites and with our billing provider (Metronome) to submit invoices to Stripe.   The Anrok system is easy to use and understand our tax exposures by jurisdictions.  The Anrok system provides an easy way to file our sales taxes for each state.

I would like Anrok to improve the way I can verify the sales tax amounts with the Netsuite invoices.  Currently., Anrok does not provide the Netsuite invoice numbers in the sales tax details.  Since there is no invoice in Netsuite, I have to look up the customer first in Netsuite and review the invoices to find the correct corresponding invoice to reconcile the sales tax amounts.   It would be so much more convenient to have the invoice numbers specifically shown in the sales tax details.

Anrok does not give me sufficient time to invoice and review our sales taxes.  I have always had to ask Anrok support each month to give me more time to file.  Our issue is that we need to process manuall invoices at the beginning of each month for the previous month usage for some of our customers.  I need time to prepare these invoices.  I was told that I can have extended tax filing deadlines, but I need to go to the higher level plan.  This does not make any sense to me as I am only asking for more time because I usually only get 5 business days.

Anrok prepares our sales and VAT taxes.  It is so much easier to file through Anrok then having to manage them internally.

Getting setup with Anrok was super straightforward and our development onboarding rep was responsive and helpful at every step. We're using a custom API integration and overall very easy to migrate our old system to use Anrok instead. Our tax team has been using it monthly for tax reporting and our returns are always ready and accurate when they need them. Overall, the setup is simple, the support team is responsive, and it helps ease the pain of tax compliance.

A custom API integration works great, but it comes with a bit of complexity and necessary workarounds. There's also some odd behavior when fetching tax amounts for certain postal codes. Found at times that a country and postal code wasn't enough to retrieve a tax rate and a specific city name was also needed to get a successful api response.

Once everything was up and running, we definitely felt like we'd substantially reduced our risk moving forward.

My only complaint is that occasionally, when we sell something more custom, an unknown product ID alert will get triggered. You actually have to go under "Data Sources" to clean those up, which I do not find intuitive. (It would make more sense under Product IDs).

I love Anrok! Our onboarding experience with Rhiannon was so smooth and she was so helpful. The customer success team is beyong helpful and having some tax stuff taken care of for us every month is such a huge weight off of our shoulders.

Sometimes there can be a lag between our taxes being filed and the tax entity's review system, so we get late file notices even though we are on time. This is more of an issue with the state entity than Anrok and you guys are always super helpful when this arises!

The modern graphical interface provides a great way to quickly understand the current situation and to keep tabs on where attention may soon be needed.  Also, the integration with my accounting software was very seamless so I don't have to worry about keeping an eye on two separate systems.  Finally, their support team is very responsive and always willing to go out of their way to provide assistance when needed.

This may be more of an issue on my end, but I feel like I could use some additional training on how to make the best use of the solution. Also, updating products on the platform can be a little tricky at first, but it becomes easier once you do it a few times.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

As a developer, Anrok's API is quite straightforward to integrate and implement. The Stripe functionality of adjusting invoices works out of the box without any issues. The API documentation is much more robust now than it used to be a couple of years ago, which minimizes the amount of customer support needed.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

The way that Anrok interacts with Stripe brought up several complexities that we had to solve for. For example, we could no longer use Stripe credits for discounts given that Anrok's tax calculation doesn't take Stripe credits into consideration.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anrok calculates and applies sales tax to Stripe invoices, which allows us to collect sales tax from our users.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

Peace of mind and accuracy in tracking taxable sales across states and Canada. Very solid customer service from the implementation team.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

There is some complexity in setup but it's well worth the time and effort.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anrok accurately handles our tax liability across different jurisdictions from online service sales. It also connects directly to our Stripe account to seamless apply taxes to transactions that have met the threshold. It's an excellent tool.

**What do you like best about Anrok?**

We needed to get compliant with our sales tax filings, and Anrok make it easy to understand how to get up and running. Plus, their team has been amazingly helpful when we've had questions about tax agencies or filings.

**What do you dislike about Anrok?**

Nothing particular I've disliked about Anrok.

**What problems is Anrok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic filing of sales tax returns. Additionally, its reporting features (i.e. breaking down transactions by jurisdiction) has been hugely helpful for other types of analysis.
