- Content block update processes are not as intuitive as other CMS platforms e.g. Too many steps to get from updating a block to seeing the change on live page.

- DAM uploads should be simpler e.g. one off encoding of videos to match website requirements. Currently each video needs to be manually encoded by end user. This is not easy to understand for average business user.

- Asset lookup seems limited - currently can't look up e.g. image of car without labelling the asset title. Potentially an issue with how Applegreen have imported its assets?

- Need more visual queues e.g. notifications/modal dialogues when a block is finished syncing, updating etc. to show end user what it means. Or Customs labels are useful to bridge the gap but relies on end user to set this up.

- Troubleshooting content sync issues can be cumbersome e.g. should be able to search which user made which updates. Again labels are useful here but requires manual intervention by end user.

- More bulk update options e.g. currently manually updating individual blocks when there could be 100s at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how user-friendly and intuitive the platform is. The AI capabilities have helped us streamline our workflows, improve efficiency, and accelerate our speed to market. There isn't anything significant that I dislike about the platform. Overall, our experience has been very positive. As with any evolving platform, I'd love to see continued enhancements to the AI capabilities and opportunities to make content workflows even more efficient. From the CMS side, the platform is highly flexible thanks to the range of modules it offers. This is a real advantage for the website, because it lets us present products and text in different formats, so consumers can explore a site that feels more dynamic and not one-dimensional. I also like how you can see the hierarchy, content and web preview all on one screen, it makes it easier for us to test features, and catch mistakes before we publish. The platform has great response speed, so it performs well. Haven't had the chance to use many of the AI features offered, I've only used it to automate image alt text, which always saves time when designing a new website as we get through a lot of images. I also appreciate from a UX perspective the mobile and tablet optimisation, it's something that can easily be dismissed, but even with images, seeing all display formats is super helpful. There isn’t much I dislike overall. That said, I have run into a few issues in the past when publishing content, where I received error messages. The good thing is that it was easy to resolve once I contacted support.

One improvement that would really help is an automatic image compressor within the DAM system, as it would save time spent manually resizing images. I’m also not sure whether this is already available, but having a way to integrate Google Analytics into the dashboard would be ideal so I can see performance at a glance.

Again, I’m not sure if this is an existing feature, but the ability to create or design your own module would be great. I’m not sure whether that’s a platform limitation or something tied to my user permissions.

Another thing I noticed when localising the website is that I had to review each individual module within a page or hierarchy. If there were an option to edit pages more holistically—without constantly clicking in and out of modules—it would save a bit of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of use in terms of both managing assets but also in the control/visibility of how those assets are delivered to the website. The UI is responsive, quick and easy to use. Everything is thoughtfully laid out. There's no lag or slowness that we've found since using Amplience. I like how we can bulk import media and apply transformations during the process. We can still transform/manipulate once in the system but the bulk import really helps optimise our workflow. The biggest impact we have is in asset delivery to different browsers/devices. Amplience has made a positive impact on lighthouse scores and site performance. Plus we have a great support team at Amplience helping us with questions and suggestions. I would like more a detailed dashboard on delivery performance. How many calls have been served, what the compression ratio is for images - worst offenders etc as this would let me optimise further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most is how easy it is to create and enrich content through the interface without it feeling overwhelming for end users. The UI is clean and intuitive, and the ability to diagnose issues and make changes is critical for us. It means we can handle non-breaking updates ourselves, so our developers can stay focused on creating new content instead of getting pulled into small fixes. The onboarding support we received from Sumil was pivotal in helping us move from design to running it on our production site within six months; without that support, I don’t think we would have been able to get there. You can only have one open session at a time. Since we work across multiple hubs, we can’t switch between them without first saving any changes in the hub we’re currently working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Amplience is a simple yet powerful image host among many other things.

It allows my team and other teams within my organization to upload, share and manage asset libraries. Its dynamic content URLs are directly used by or CMS.

My favorite feature is the asset purge, which allows me to quickly change and substitute images live on our website without depending on anyone else.

Sometimes working in Amplience is not super intuitive and some functionalities are hidden under different menus and workspaces, resulting in me as an user not knowing they were ever there. I know they are working on a redesigned experience and hopefully it will be much easier to navigate once released. Also, we recently we had a meeting with Amplience and they showed us features we didn't know existed and clarified a lot of points, which was extremely helpful.

Another simple feature I currently miss is bulk downloading assets that are published. For instance, I have a list of 50 product shots I need to download in high-resolution from Amplience, and as far as I know, there's no way of downloading them all at once. Over the last 4+ years of using Amplience, I’ve never seen the system go down. Support has always been very timely, and the team is friendly and genuinely helpful in their responses. Right now, the split between the CDN and the content pages means I have to jump between two different interfaces, although I understand these will be merged into one soon. I’d also like to see reporting made available for on-demand, so we can better understand whether assets are being used and loaded in the most optimised way from our DAM. no custom CSS fields for CMS users, therefore dev involvement is needed for styling amends. Localisation is great but any amends need to be made across all regions. Some elements not suitable for localisation so more manual work is needed. No bulk localisation possible.
