Amilia's customer service is truly unmatched. They have not only been receptive to feedback but have worked tirelessly to implement feedback to improve their product. In the two years that we have been live with Amilia, they have developed features and reports that have allowed our staff to more productively use time and have more visibility into the success of the programs that they run. Amilia is a developing platform; when we signed with them in 2024 there were product gaps that needed creative solutions while Amilia worked on real and lasting ones. What problems is Amilia SmartRec solving and how is that benefiting you? Amilia is giving us more visibility into our sales and revenue that we did not have previously. Prior to our transition, program directors had a difficult time knowing how their programs were doing, where now they are able to see it in real time. Amilia is also allowing us to significantly improve our collections from declined payments with automated emails and a financial action center that allows our collections staff to efficiently contact members and collect on those declined payments. Amilia has not only improved our visibility into our revenue, but has given us the opportunity to truly feel more in control of money in and money out. Our previous system also struggled a great deal during our program registration days and would often fail, where we have had no such issues with Amilia which is allowing us to bring in more revenue with our program registrations. Our previous recreation software was difficult for both staff and customers to navigate, which often resulted in additional assistance from our team during the registration process. Customer support was also slow to respond, making it challenging to resolve issues quickly. Amilia SmartRec easily handles the high volume of registrations we receive on opening day. The modern interface, responsive customer support, and ongoing product enhancements have made our registration process more efficient and improved the experience for both staff and customers. I find Amilia SmartRec incredibly easy to use. I also love how effective their staff is at resolving issues; they really do everything in their power to resolve problems quickly. The communication tools are fantastic for updating members and activities. The analytics feature is something I use daily as it makes it simple to provide report details to my Board of Directors and makes getting information really easy. It is hard for us to do the facility scheduling, but that is because we are a different beast. On top of having 4 pools we need to schedule out, we also have one of our pools that switch from short course yards to long course meters at different times of the day. It’s modern and easy to use, which was something we had trouble finding in other rec software. It’s easy to set up programs, automate billing and reports, and the reporting is robust. The Cecilia ChatBot makes a world of difference when you need to figure out how something is done. On top of that, customer support has been outstanding. I like the wide range of tasks Amilia SmartRec can handle for a recreation center, including facility bookings, online program registration, and contracts, making it a perfect fit for me. I appreciate 'Amilia University,' which handles training and troubleshooting, and find Amilia's staff very helpful and available. The continuous new features and updates show Amilia is working to make a better platform. The initial setup was very easy, even with my limited tech experience, as I worked one-on-one with an Amilia member and had a trial period to explore both admin and client-facing sides. Such as being able to add discounts to the contract or color-coding how it shows up on the schedule. As I said, you can currently add additional fees but I would like to show discounts applied as well. Also, just choosing what color it shows up on the schedule to help my staff better understand which facility is being used at a quick glance without highlighting it. I originally signed up for Amelia to launch a summer camp but due to unforeseen circumstances we wont be able to move forward with the camp. We were planning to launch it next summer instead though as we've got everything ready to launch and were planning on using Amelia to do so. I've been trying now for two weeks to cancel my account. Each email I send is met with a response that a "customer success" agent will reach out. It has been two weeks now and I still havent heard from someone. I'm about to get billed AGAIN for something I no longer need. Pretty sure at this point that their strategy is to postpone cancellations until they can milk as many billings with unhappy customers as they can. Brilliant way to burn bridges and insure that next year we'll be looking elsewhere for another platform to use.
