More interviews and transcripts on a range of topics would make the service even better. **What problems is AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stream by AlphaSense is an important part of our research process. We use Stream by AlphaSense to improve our understanding of companies that we are conducting research on. I was honestly pretty hesitant initially, but the service has been top-notch, and the quality of the experts is just as good if not better, than other networks. **What do you dislike about AlphaSense?** I wish Stream had better expert coverage outside of the United States, especially in Asia. Non-English speaking experts can't have calls transcribed, so this isn't a strategic fit. **Recommendations to others considering AlphaSense:** I think it's a no-brainer to use Stream. After their acquisition by AlphaSense, the underlying technology has improved a lot, and I believe they are not just a technology leader but a terrific partner for my research process. **What problems is AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** Expert networks are opaque and wasteful as the call is typically a 1x1 relationship. Stream does a great job increasing transparency through its library while also making calls available at a price point that makes expert calls far more accessible earlier in the research process. Rather than compromise on just doing a few calls, I can get up to speed quickly and dive in on topics earlier. ### 4. I am looking forward for the earnings transcript calls. The team was also very helpful to help set up my dashboards. AlphaSense continues to develop their product to make it easier to use and with more functionality. **What problems is AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** AlphaSense enables corporate employees and their advisors (management consultants, investment banks, lenders, rating agencies, ESG, etc.) to remain informed real-time about how customers, suppliers, and competitors are performing; how their short- and long-term outlooks are changing; and if the reasons for their changes in outlook are due to macro factors or to changes in their own products, services, and costs. This enables the AlphaSense user to be of significantly increased value to their company's sales/marketing, procurement, operations, strategic planning, budgeting/forecasting, M&A, and relations with equity and debt investors, banks, and rating agencies. And it's not just research that focuses directly on our markets but also on ancillary and emerging markets that we are just beginning to investigate. The user design is intuitive, the search options allow for customization (boolean search, intelligent search). The results are highlighted for ease of review. There is also a chat function with quick turnarounds, and the team is overall responsive and constantly looking for feedback and improvements. The export function for financial tables are very convenient (hopefully will be implemented for Cdn Banks as well). A big differentiator is its sentiment analysis features - it is a big plus for analyzing earnings transcript, and I'm looking forward to further additional features. **What do you dislike about AlphaSense?** Sometimes results that I'd expect to show up would be missing (e.g. company website has changed url so the engine wasn't able to pick up the documents in the results). Support team is responsive can provide a fix immediately), so for someone who expects to gain additional value from uncovering the unexpected results for insights, not seeing what you'd expect is a concern. This can be attributed to the users' lack of knowledge in boolean search strings, but as this isn't designed for expert users (and shouldn't be), I see further improvements in the relevancy of search results in the future. Having said that, in terms of search capability, this isn't going to overtake Google anytime soon, so don't expect too much. The "wildcards" don't always work as intended (e.g. I sometimes get more results when specifying a time range than not selecting one). Sometimes the exported pdfs have garbled results (especially when processing custom imported pdfs). Since only partial sentiment data can be exported, some users will have to accept the results as a black box and can't fully analyze the results. Also, browser cache needs to be refreshed from time to time or results might freeze (Chrome). **Recommendations to others considering AlphaSense:** Try it out. AlphaSense really lets you use targeted words and searches to best find the information you need. My favourite feature of the platform is perhaps how it will only show you sources that have your two words 10-15 words apart. This lets you get rid of all the noise that you get on traditional platforms like Google, and helps you focus on a single source better. Another great feature is the ability to export charts/graphics directly into excel. This had made my life so much easier when copying over numbers, and it removes a certain margin of error which is exactly what I'm looking for in a platform. The team is great as well, and has always been super helpful when I have questions. **What do you dislike about AlphaSense?** A lot of different sources can sometimes make it hard to find the best information, but this is honestly more of a pro than a con regardless. Some features of the platform can be a bit confusing, but the AlphaSense team is always ready on hand to give you a demo if you so need.
