FactSet provides a plethora of historical financial data in one place, making it a convenient and stress-free experience. As a buy-side equity analyst, FactSet has everything I need to conduct detailed company reports we use internally as a research-driven investment firm. FactSet can be challenging to navigate given its many extensive tools. It can often feel difficult to find specific information easily. It would also be great to see AI play a greater role since FactSet holds such a large amount of data on it's platform. AI could help save lots of time giving me the exact information I need like a 5 or 10-year CAGR number, market share, and historical industry data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, FactSet Workstation essentially has everything in a single place if you are doing Equity Research. The layout is very simple therefore it cuts out all the unncessary stuff and get to what you need to do your work. FactSet is probably the second application I launch at work after my email of course. The customer support team is wonderful and operates 24/7. My account rep is very courteous and checks in with me. Probably make it easier for a user to clone the setup of a watchlist like Seeking Alpha does. If let's say I like to see Market Cap, P/E ratio and EBITDA as the columns I'm interested, I'll have to recreate it everytime I want a different list. FactSet is a one-stop solution that meets virtually all the research needs for our investment team. We use the platform extensively and leverage a wide variety of FactSet tools and products ranging from basic features like real time pricing and the Company/Security tab to more niche tools like Portfolio Analysis and Internal Research Notes. I believe there are several common reports within sections like Estimates that FactSet could make small changes to that would unlock further value to users. However, my impression is that FactSet can be hesitant to make changes to reports/tools that have been around a long time and are widely used across their client base. Likely, for company valuations, I used to check the Diluted options. For research-intensive requests, I heavily rely on Factset for Management Board members, shareholders stake, valuation ratios, enterprise value, and diluted market caps like things.
