**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

Ally.io has a really good UI focussing on how to create Objectives and Key results with pairing and balancing the OKR management. Ally is far better than its competitors like Profit.co with respect to integrations and auto update. It has been helping me and my team track our OKRs and give a clear idea where we stand in terms of our target.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

Ally.io api are not so strong which leads us not to have a database setup, because of this we are not able to have a dump of the day on our database system. Also anyone can edit anyone's OKRs and obejctive which makes it really difficult to track the changes. Also it is really difficult to have complex calculations and mapping.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Ally.io to track our Objectives and Key result and see where we are in terms of what we have set our target, which helps us decide our futuristic approach. It also allows us delegate work to our peers and help us review each other's works. It makes best of system for team collaboration

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

The best thing for me is the ease of access while updating the OKRs and constant reminders which keeps me on track at the individual and team levels.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

To be honest, there is nothing much to dislike; however, sometimes I feel that the fields and modules might be a little difficult to understand and could be a little simplified.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So as an employee, everyone is working hard and doing their best. However, at times, we miss keeping track of what we spend our day doing and what should be our targets, etc. Here comes on Ally through which everyone's roles, tasks, targets are well defined and hence able to track and manage properly.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

As a current user of the product, we find Ally really useful in helping us monitor our OKRs. It's really easy to set up the OKRs, whatever the size of the team and have people monitor it themselves. Ally is simple to use and has lots of cool features that you can turn on or off including reminders to update your OKRS and also an overall weekly summary email on the interactions that week, which our CEO likes to check on to see how much people are engaging with it. Ally has an option to view some templated OKRs which has been really useful when we've been stuck or on sure how to format our OKRs, especially as they are broken down into job and team roles. Another useful feature is the ability to easily edit OKRs as you are going through the quarter. On occasion we may have worded them incorrectly or chosen an incorrect KR but with Ally it's really simple to edit and refocus on what you want to achieve for the rest of the quarter.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

You do have to make sure that you have checked the time frame that you're monitoring. Occasionally we have misread this and started to enter OKRs before realising that it was monitoring it on an annual basis so we had to go into the settings tab to change this back to quarterly.  We haven't fully utilised all the features so aren't necessarily interested in seeing them displayed

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A transparent way of seeing and achieving our OKRs.

Capability to divide an OKR is sub-tasks and also do check-ins at sub-task level which in turn rolls back to the umbrella OKR check-in

Check-ins can either be via updating progress or adding a comment, rather there should be a more intuitive way like date wise check-ins or reminder for timely check-ins

Definitely, a great tool for managing shared OKRs, but the usability can be improved or provide training to users

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Ally to manage shared OKRs between teams and provides complete visibility to the team, owners and leadership acorss teams.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

I like the transparency in Ally. True to the book "Measure what matters". The entire company can see each other's OKRs and how they are performing. 
I like the flexibility in Ally which lets me change the alignment/owners of OKRs anytime. Also, lets me move OKRs between different time periods. 
Create a team and invite new team members. The slack integration is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

There is nothing I dislike about Ally. I do not find the JIRA integration very helpful as it just adds noise. Ally (OKR) and JIRA (Scrum) have different objectives IMO.
Implementing OKRs in an org requires a champion inside the company. It is not Ally's fault. It is the effort to adopt a new way of achieving in an organization.

Ally is helping us align the organization, team, and individual goals. It keeps track of OKR progress with weekly check-ins. It helps anyone in the organization understand the value they are bringing to an organization.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

I tend to have a lot of projects on my list. This really helps me keep up with them, set timelines for them and break my projects down to tasks or smaller projects. 

I like that I am able to add more tasks or KRs to each as well, when new challenges arise in one of my main OKRs

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

I would like a way to see all projects and OKRs on one single page without having to toggle between the two tabs and open up each QTR or time period. Might be there already and I have just not found this

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management and deadline accuracy. I had had problems with finishing before deadlines because I never bother with looking up when I committed to having something done. This is especially tough since I am usually working on 8-10 projects at a time. 

I also really enjoy the Slack Reminders. This helps remind me of where I am at and see where I am behind on, so I know where my focus should be in the coming days.

Ally is a great tool to keep all our OKRs in a place, keep checking in on them, and have an overall idea of the company's performance. It has made us as a team more accountable for our objectives which have helped us be more productive overall.

Projects can be a little tricky to work with.  But great software overall. Nothing particular to complain about.

Bringing better team productivity. Ally OKRs' best practices have helped us understand how much we are bringing to the table. And it helps keep the company better aligned with its goals. We have a very strong OKR program of which Ally is a big part!

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

It's helpful in keeping track of tasks I need to do during the day/week/month. Sometimes work is so busy that I lose things that don't have to be done immediately and this program helps me stay on track with things like that.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

I wish I could change when they remind me to check-in. Friday afternoons when I'm trying to get a bunch of stuff done before the weekend isn't very ideal. It's also not always helpful with keeping track of that arent numbers based. Sometimes it's difficult to assign a percentage to the work that I need to do so I just don't add it to ally because it doesn't make sense.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in keeping me aligned with the rest of my team so we know we're working cohesively. Also getting reminded to check in brings helps me remember things that need to be done for the week that I may have forgotten or not yet gotten too.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

Once you have defined your objectives, it's easy to keep track of them. However, the hard part is precisely defining the objectives in a way that can be measured and that is meaningful

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

The whole idea of the product is to provide visibility around the company's objectives. However, I'd be concerned about the possibility of having employees regarded as numbers of an equation or input. It should perhaps, add ways to measure soft skills that also bring value to the organization.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Segment organization in groups with defined goals that are tracked on a specified periodic basis, having individuals be accountable for the fulfillment of specific objectives and having the opportunity to follow that to completion.

- The Support Center chat takes usually a day to respond.
- They don't include the API, only in Enterprise (or as an Add-On)
- They have an insights feature but it doesn't feel comprehensive and I can't find any reports yet.
- It is not very clear how they implement CFR meetings, but we are trying to figure it out a way.

**Recommendations to others considering Ally.io:**

Don't be afraid if you don't know too much about OKRs; they have a great set of online training that will prepare you with the methodology for building great OKRs for the entire organization.

API is a plus, but they provide enough integration to get you going.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are working to implement continuous performance management and increase the autonomy of the team. We want to change the old way of performance management and merge that with a new way of doing strategic planning.

Ally.io gives me one place to track my goals, both from a career-development and functional perspective. It is as flexible as I need it to be.  I also LOVE that I can Bulk Check-in my status.  I try to do this weekly, calling out my manager or directors as needed to get attention to things slipping.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

Sometimes the hierarchy can be a bit confusing, but honestly, I think that comes down to how my company has implemented the solution.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of my problems is that I can get so busy working on stuff that creeps up, I don't get to the stuff that really matters.  I have used Ally.io to set goals that motivate me to own my time, get the most important things done first, and then do the rest.

The dashboard function is a great way to present how each team is doing in terms of fulfilling targets that help complete bigger goals.

My company uses Microsoft, and we currently cannot connect Microsoft excel to do automatic check-ins, so that is a little tedious.

Notes made on the KRs don't reflect on the top-level objectives. It would make it easier if the KR notes can also be seen when you are on the Objective level.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

We selected Ally from among 8 OKR platform contenders. Most of them had the usual must-have features (customized quarters, dashboard view of OKR alignment, management reporting, etc.). However, we prioritized ease of use to help drive adoption, and Ally's integration with many other platforms, including Teams, Slack, and Wrike, along with an intuitive and well-designed mobile app, fit the bill for us. In addition, several other OKR vendors built their platform based on their OKR "philosophy", and therefore did not include certain features (i.e., tracking projects/initiatives, individual OKRs, etc.). Because we were new to OKRs and still hadn't developed our "philosophy", we wanted a platform with the flexibility to accommodate any needs we would come up with now or in the future. Ally excels at this flexibility. Case in point is their newly released Performance Management module, which I'm excited to learn more about. A lot of the other vendors believe that individual performance management should not be integrated with OKRs, and therefore would never develop this capability. Ally gives you all the options, and you can choose which ones you want to implement in your organization.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

There's nothing really that I dislike about Ally. I do have my personal preferences regarding certain terms (for example, they use "KPI" to describe metric key results, when in my experience KPIs are more associated with operational business metrics), but again these are preferences. You have the ability to create custom tags if you need to further refine or filter information.

**Recommendations to others considering Ally.io:**

Consider the level of integration you will need. If you already have a performance management platform in your HR system, you'll need to figure out how to manage the weekly check-in rigor of OKRs along with your built-in routine of individual performance feedback--all while reducing the burden on staff. Since OKRs was new and our staff was somewhat "framework fatigued", we aimed for ease of use to remove every excuse for them not adopting OKRs and committing to the check-ins. Ally was a huge help in accomplishing that because of the many touch-points wherewith to do check-ins (the Ally website, Slack/Teams, or mobile).

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an IT Director, I was looking for a way to align and track the work being done by my staff and the impact it has on my departmental objectives, with an eye toward introducing it company-wide to help drive strategic planning and execution. After reading "Measure What Matters," I was hooked on OKRs...but I quickly realized that trying to manage OKRs on a spreadsheet with more than a handful of people would quickly become unwieldy. Ally was just what we needed to establish a foundation upon which we could adopt OKRs across the entire organization. Just 6 months into our OKR journey, we are already seeing more maturity in our quarterly planning and focus in our execution. I have shared our journey with several senior executives, and they are excited to learn how we can expand the framework throughout the organization.

simplicity. 

Started Ally.io to prep for upcoming team QBR and board review. Having the platform's onboarding process walk me through the OKR setting process was easy and I have clear visibility into our team's OKRs and feel more confident going into these meetings than ever before.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

While it was easy to set up OKRs individually, I'd love a way to create OKRs and workshop with my team directly within Ally.io but when sharing this feedback with the Ally.io team they said this feature is coming soon.

Visibility, alignment, and collaboration. We're early in our journey but have already had the benefit of everyone understanding how their key results help us reach our team and company objectives.

Friendly user interface and ease of use. Very organized and helps save lots of time. Helps track progress of everyone in the organization. I haven't worked with any other platform like Ally which is so useful and easy to work with. It has helped improve individuals work progress by keeping target of their objectives. Even though working from home ally has helped connect the organization and help achieve the targets and goals of the organization.

Few times setting the calendar might be troublesome for OKRs if the span is odd. There are not many downsides to Ally. It has everything that is necessary for the purpose of work. Moreover it makes things easier and better at work place.

Ally has helped keep track of the work of everyone in the organization and save time. Helps track progress of everyone in the organization. I haven't worked with any other platform like Ally which is so useful and easy to work with. It has helped improve individuals work progress by keeping target of their objectives. Even though working from home ally has helped connect the organization and help achieve the targets and goals of the organization. It has helped complete tasks on time and achieve goals set by the organization on quarterly basis, half yearly basis and annual goals as well.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

Simplifying the process of introducing the OKR framework to your organisation by using a friendly platform that allows you to create one source of truth for your company main focus areas and goals, alongside great control, check-in and reporting capabilities. 
The Ally team are great and provide quick and helpful support and walk you through the entire process.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

There is no OKR planning functionallity and integrations are somehow limited, but both of these issues are in the works and we look forward to exploring them once ready!

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improve the engagement and visibility of the employees in the company with the OKR framework.

I really like the check-in functionality of the key results, which automatically feeds the overall objective. As a team leader, I like being able to set key results and assign them to team members

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

I don't like that 2 people can't own an objective. I also don't like that when you clone a set of OKRs that you can't move around or edit the order in which they come, as one team member might prioritise different objectives than another.

Team alignment to goals that I can check at any time, solving the need for constant alignment and communication across multiple teams. It allows an entire broad team to focus on hitting the same goals and objectives with different key results

Ally functionality is easy to use, has a great feel to it via its modern style & design, it gives me the feeling that I want to engage with the app. It tracks current progress & gives insight to the wider team on individual updates along with the overall company updates. Easy to navigate & monitor team's progress without having to jump on every zoom call each week and ask the basic questions, it's a time-saver to know we can jump straight into conversations with team members after reviewing their Ally updates.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

Having to give an update to tasks that have been completed at 100%. Also abnormal percentage calculations for progress updates, be good if there were clear guidelines on how to calculate such percentages.

Ally allows you to align your goals internally within the team. One can also see how their goals contribute to higher-level organization goals. Regular checks ins provide a great way to track progress. There are good examples of how to set goals that are well defined and quantified, and these can be used as references for developing your own goals.

There should be an option to send email notifications as reminders for check-ins

Ally aligns the objectives and goals at an individual level to the organization's vision & mission.

Ally.io will help you increase transparency between management and teams, this helps create a greater sense of shared accountability, transparency, and purpose.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ally gives you a clear focus on company-wide ambitious objectives and allows each employee to see how their actions contribute toward the company's goals. 

The tool ensures we keep a strong link between the strategy of an objective but also the and execution of it.
We create this link using the language of OKRs. Having aspirational, business outcomes does a couple of things. It creates something for teams to strive for and it sets a measurable result to aim at.

Having well-defined sprint goals can help, but OKRs with regular check-ins can be even more successful. Measuring iterative goals provides a feedback loop that helps align action to the outcome, rather than output.

If your teams are measured by their attempt to achieve outcomes, some teams will sandbag. They’ll set goals that are too easy to attain. Keep in mind that while OKRs inform annual reviews, by no means should they be the only input. 

Finding the metrics that presage our desired outcome is not easy. It takes collective skill and collective will. OKRs help teams understand why they are so important. The regular check-ins and periodic setting of the key results depend on defining lead measures.

If you are looking for an application that provides your organization with full transparency and ease of use, then Ally.io is the one to use.  At my organizations we would use Confluence or Google Docs across various departments and there was not a way to really provide a complete overview and connect it all.  Ally.io does just this for your organization and more.  The ability to track progress and make sound check-ins provide managers and employees with the ability to have valuable discussions.

Scoring OKRs is basically done automatically. It's pretty easy to align OKRs. And checking in can be done quickly. Adding new users is very simple.

I would like to have better insights into team OKRs. I would like to be able to just close the OKR and be done, as it is I have to close all the key results, not just the objective. I would like it to remind people to check in.

Ally is great to use across an entire organization and individually. It's similar to a project management tool for everyone to see what everyone else's goal is and tracking your goals against forecasted projections. It helps to understand how your goals ladder up to the greater organization's vision

Ally has been growing fast in the recent times, so stuff like missing essential integrations is constantly being worked on based on the demands of most users. The only thing that we've had trouble with is the overview of all goals in the tree-overview - you can't zoom out and look at everything at once. Other than that, all missing features were implemented very fast after we've issued them.

1) Working OKRs rely on the personal groundwork, the tool just supports the people and should be seen as such (OKRs are not an end in themselves)
2) Think about what you want in a tool: Only Goals? Performance management? Employee recognition?

Great customer support (shout-out to Manish Dixit!) that goes beyond the product and into helping you structure your OKRs in the most effective way possible. Would highly recommend for any organization new or experienced in the art of OKRs. Ally's product is full-featured and the company has some of the strongest backers/funding in the space. The product development cycle feels intentional and rhythmic which means you can expect regular updates to the platform. We spend most of our time in the "chart view" and it acts as the central source of truth for our team on company objectives. When engaging with customer support, they provide hands-on guidance walking you through the product to make real-time improvements to your OKR strategy.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

Mostly positive so far. Initially, there were some missing features to run OKR update meetings and check-ins but product is improving in that area.

Check out all the products in the OKR space but I'm sure you'll find Ally to be the best!

We're running the entire company's OKRs through Ally and it helps guide our weekly and monthly department and all-hands meetings. Ally gives everyone in the organization a "line of sight" to the summit. Rather than siloed goals and KPIs, Ally brings transparency to all levels of the organization. Directors and managers develop OKRs on the Ally platform quarterly and monthly rather than in their notes and spreadsheets. Check-ins and progress bars help everyone get a temperature check on the health of the company. The team knows what they're working towards and how it fits into the bigger picture.

The interface for Ally is very intuitive and with very little training you can be up and running with your Company, Team and Individual OKRs in no time. Underneath that simplicity though is a powerful OKR tool that allows you to align Objectives, create detailed projects and delegate tasks out easily. Most importantly the reviewing and check-in process is very good too.

The customer service so far has also been excellent, with a well-thought-out and comprehensive onboarding process. It's still relatively early days but so far we've been very impressed.

Integration into our HR System would be great but we've already spoken to them about this and it's on their roadmap.

**What do you like best about Ally.io?**

I like the fact that the objectives & key results can be easily monitored across all teams and that we can see how each team's goals contribute to the company's goals. It is relatively easy to enter the weekly check-ins. Adding objectives and key results as well as amending them is also a pretty straightforward  process. It is good that one can enter check-ins for both the main objective and its key results, however one must be quite careful not to enter their key result updates into the main goal check-ins.

**What do you dislike about Ally.io?**

Check-in editing option is not very intuitive, i.e. it is not easy to find the 'edit' button, unless one hovers over 'Activity' and clicks on the 3 dots. It is easy to make a mistake, while entering check-ins  (e.g. to add a check-in belonging to a key result to the objective), so one cannot do it too quickly. The biggest drawback is the key result progress measurement, as the key result values are always equal, even though the amount of effort and time invested varies among subgoals. For example, objective 1 has key results A, B, C and D. Each one of these key results accounts for 25% of the objective, however key results A and B may take 90% of the time and effort and even when these two get done, the objective is only 50% completed. I would definitively add more options in progress monitoring section and assign individual value to each key result to illustrate how it relates to other key results (e.g. key result A - 50%, key result B - 25%, key result C - 15% and key result D - 10%).

More things get done when individuals and teams commit to completing certain tasks or projects and when other teams/superiors can easily monitor the progress. We know how much time our team members have for other tasks and can estimate if other teams can support us in unplanned / ad hoc activities.

The way we can have hierarchical structure in OKRs, coming rom top down and can be distributed to lowest levels, is what I like the best. Having views of monthly and quarterly, seeing aggregation of OKRS at each level, gives you an entire view how the entire company is doing on the goals they have set at the start of year.

It feels a little bit slow. But it's not of that worry as it's not to be engaged every second of the day kind of app.

**Recommendations to others considering Ally.io:**

Always use the top down approach. Create OKR on company level, then go down. Try to avoid creating individual's KRs.

**What problems is Ally.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking of OKRs of mine and my team. It gives me a full picture on how me and my subordinates are doing. Also, it gives me the view of other teams and verticals on how are they doing.
