**What do you like best about Alibaba ECS Bare Metal Instance?**

Pay as you go, instant setup, and lots of space were our reasons for switching from a regular web host to a clean cloud server with no file size limits like every web host seems to have.  The second best is the amount of services instantly available when you sign up.   VPN/VPS/Gateway/DNS/ECS, and literally hundreds of other add-ons. 

**What do you dislike about Alibaba ECS Bare Metal Instance?**

Finding the right page on the site of unlimited services provided by Alibaba made it quite confusing at first, and it did take days to get support, often 36 hours or more, but maybe that's what you get for the price.

**Recommendations to others considering Alibaba ECS Bare Metal Instance:**

Support was lacking, unless you pay extra for support.  If you know what you're doing already, they have the resources the make it happen in a few minutes.

**What problems is Alibaba ECS Bare Metal Instance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we started our project, users from around the world needed to upload HD video for machine learning/facial recognition purposes.  Regular hosts offer tons of space, but extremely limited file sizes, and even a Dropbox wasn't going to solve our problems.   We did fill our disks in no time, but we had mirroring and no bandwidth problems, so our users got their projects done, sent in, and got paid.  We have random needs, and ECS is always ready.
