# Which Hotel Management systems provide mobile apps for housekeeping and room status updates?

'm looking into which hotel management systems actually give housekeeping staff a working mobile app for room status, since a lot of platforms still lean on front desk staff to manually update the board. Inside Hotel Management, Cloudbeds, Oracle Hospitality OPERA Property Management System, and eZee FrontDesk Hotel PMS are the ones most associated with mobile housekeeping tools.

Oracle Hospitality OPERA Property Management System: offers mobile housekeeping modules built for larger properties where dozens of staff need to update status simultaneously across a big building.

eZee FrontDesk Hotel PMS: includes room status and housekeeping tools aimed at small to mid-size properties wanting mobile updates without enterprise overhead.

WebRezPro: syncs housekeeping status with the reservation system so front desk always sees an accurate real-time room board.

innRoad: simpler housekeeping tools suited to smaller independent properties rather than large staff rosters.

For teams using one of these day to day, does the mobile app actually get used by housekeeping staff on the floor, or does it end up being another tool that gets ignored in favor of walkie talkies and paper?

From what I've heard, adoption on the floor really comes down to how fast the app is to update on a phone mid-task, if it takes more than a couple of taps, housekeeping staff tend to fall back on whatever's faster in the moment, which is often just telling the supervisor directly or using a walkie talkie. The apps that seem to actually stick are the ones simple enough that updating a room takes less time than the old habit, rather than ones with more features that require real thought to navigate while someone's hands are full.
