Acuity Scheduling Reviews & Product Details

Acuity Scheduling is an online appointment scheduling platform from Squarespace, Inc., the design-driven software company headquartered in New York City. Founded in 2006 and acquired by Squarespace in 2019, Acuity powers client booking for solo professionals, teams, and service-based businesses, and is used by customers worldwide. It can be used on its own or integrated directly with a Squarespace website. Acuity gives businesses a customizable, shareable booking page where clients view real-time availability and schedule appointments themselves. Core capabilities include calendar management with two-way syncing across Google, Outlook, iCloud, and Office 365; automated email and SMS reminders to reduce no-shows; online payments and deposits at the time of booking; intake forms, appointment types, group classes, packages, and memberships; client management tools; and reporting on bookings and client activity. A mobile app lets owners manage their calendars on the go. Acuity helps service-based businesses replace back-and-forth scheduling emails and phone calls with a self-serve booking experience. From coaches, salons, and consultants to studios and clinics, businesses use Acuity to fill their calendars, collect payment up front, and keep clients informed automatically — saving administrative time while giving customers a simple way to book.

What is Acuity Scheduling, and what problem is it built to solve?

It is an online appointment scheduling tool used to let clients choose available times without the back-and-forth of arranging appointments by phone, text, or email. Users also describe using it to coordinate calendars and automate booking-related reminders.

What languages does Acuity Scheduling support?

It supports 6 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

What company sizes and industries is Acuity Scheduling the best fit for?

Acuity Scheduling is most represented among small businesses, with users also coming from mid-market and enterprise organizations. The industries with the strongest presence include health and wellness, professional training, marketing, photography, and cosmetics.

Small businesses: The clearest company-size cluster, including self-employed businesses.
Mid-market and enterprise: Also represented, including teams coordinating schedules across staff or locations.
Health and wellness: A prominent industry cluster, including practices and coaching businesses.
Professional training and marketing: Both appear among recurring use cases for client sessions, consultations, and appointments.
Photography and cosmetics: Also recurring service-business settings for bookings and client appointments.

How long does it take to implement Acuity Scheduling across a team?

Implementation can be quick for straightforward setups, while more involved configurations take longer. The most common reported time to go live is under a day.

Time to go live	Relative frequency
Under 1 day	Most common
Under 1 month	Also reported
1–3 months	Less common

What customer support options does Acuity Scheduling provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Support options include FAQs and forums, a knowledge base, email or help-desk support, and chat. The experience can be helpful and responsive, especially for setup questions, though some users describe delays or difficulty getting timely assistance.

What is the experience like for teams switching to Acuity Scheduling from another tool?

Switching to Acuity Scheduling is often about gaining more control over appointment types, availability, forms, reminders, and calendar workflows. Moves from tools such as Calendly, Square Appointments, and other booking systems have involved a mix of easier client scheduling and more flexible setup; the transition can still require time to configure calendars and services.

What tools and platforms does Acuity Scheduling integrate with, and how do these integrations help users get more value from the product?

Acuity Scheduling lists 1 integration: Squarespace. Other connections described alongside everyday use span several categories:

Website and scheduling: Squarespace.
Calendars: Google Calendar, iCal, and Outlook.
Video meetings: Zoom, Google Meet, and GoToMeeting.
Payments: Square, Stripe, and PayPal.
Marketing and workflow tools: ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, and Zapier.

These connections can keep bookings aligned with calendars, attach meeting details, handle payments, and pass booking information into other workflows.

What features or capabilities could make Acuity Scheduling even more useful?

Acuity Scheduling could be more useful with richer customization and more flexible ways to connect scheduling with the rest of a business’s tools. Users also point to opportunities to make setup and day-to-day calendar management clearer.

Expand booking-page, landing-page, and embed customization for branding and service presentation.
Add more native integrations for meeting platforms, CRMs, and other business systems.
Make setup and navigation easier with clearer onboarding and more step-by-step guidance.
Offer finer scheduling controls, such as more flexible appointment durations and calendar or availability rules.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

I love that I can create multiple kinds of appointments for my clients to choose from and that it syncs with my Google calendar so that I don't get double booked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There isn't much that I don't like about this product, I find that it does what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Huge timesaver!"

5/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

I love that I can create multiple links based on different appointment types. I no longer have to send numerous emails or have long conversations with clients or potential clients to schedule appointments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

I want the general landing page to be a bit more customizable. I would also like it if clients could add one or more additional email addresses (attendees) when scheduling an appointment. This would help me know when clients want to add the person to a Zoom call instead of them passing on the link and me finding out during the appointment that someone else is joining the call. "Very Reliable and Flexible Scheduling Service"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

Acuity offers flexible options for recurring appointments, types of notifications and scheduling options. One of the best thing about Acuity is making me look professional to my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

Acuity is quite expensive, but it is a high-quality product. I would only pay the fee when using it for a lucrative project or business. It would also be a good investment for a business that has the potential to be very lucrative in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Integrated Systems and Processes"

5/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

I love the text messaging, reminders for both myself and my client. The paid appointment types. Also, I love integrating with my CRM for different appointment types. It allows me to segment my responses based on appointment types for better, more customized work flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

It's hard to think of something I dislike. Actually, my biggest complaint is I wish many of Acuity Scheduling's features was available in my CRM so I wouldn't need Acuity Scheduling, but every time I leave to try something different, I return. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I'm Acuity Scheduling living in a person's body! That much I know and love it!"

5/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

Here we go! I love it. I use it for various platforms, businesses, and reasons. Nothing beats how easy to customize their products. You can get the entire CSS demonstrated for you ready to edit! I use them even much more than what they could be as CRM, as Reminders, Email marketing etc. Much more than a simple scheduling platform. They are bigger than that believe me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

I will be quick about it. They WERE GREAT until they merged with the square group. Their support was funny along with professional and solution orientated. I'm not sure to say the same thing anymore... They became a part of a huge company and lost that soul I think... They used to offer grandfather discounts and they stopped honoring people who are with them for years... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very easy to use, amazing price"

5/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

Price point is better than any other software I researched for a large team. Acuity is very easy to use for the talent acquisition team. As an administrator, you can view full team calendars, move interviews between recruiters. Each member has their own calendar and private booking link. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

The only downside is it is not integratable with Microsoft Teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A lot of helpful functionality"

5/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

Acuity gives a lot of flexibility with scheduling options, and works very well for sign-ups for group events such as classes and service appointments. The platform allows you to add names to an event roster manually, or offer coupon codes for specific events or classes, etc. It is a perfect fit for my class registration and roster management needs. It is also very nicely integrated with other services such as Stripe and Zoom and always works smoothly. They also have great user support and a positive attitude!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

I haven't run into any issues or downsides for the functionality that I have needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful scheduling software with a bit of a learning curve."

4/5

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

Collect payments, integrates with Zoom easily. Client can download their app to schedule appointments, and sends you notifications on mobile and email. The notifications are instant, and you get a duplicate email showing exactly what the client sees. You also can set up subscriptions, send gift certificates, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

The email functionality - while powerful - can be confusing. There is a bit of learning to maximize what Acuity can do, and I've found myself occasionally asking colleagues for help occasionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
