**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Very intuitive if you were using Quickbooks before, and the tracking system is excellent. There is also an add-on for the supplement industry that we haven't kimplemented yet but it seems very promising.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Forecast and dashboard are not very advanced. They could be a bit better.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tracking of lot number and the graph made from it are perfect for the supplement industry and the pricing is also very good for such product.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

I like that Acctivate works hand in hand with Quickbooks. The Sync function is beneficial to time management on entering information twice. Also, I like that when you enter a product in inventory, it is easily editable or to make a copy of.  The create button is helpful as well because that has all the options and steps you need to be located in one place.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

I wouldn't say I like that that system has to be babied a bit. For example, once a product is entered into a PO, it is locked into whatever price you entered into that PO unless you go back into the PO and void it, change it, and re-issue it. Then the cost of the product can be edited. It sometimes makes things hard to edit, and going through that process messes up inventory. Also, I love the sync feature, but sometimes, when stuff carries over, it messes up invoiceing, classes and other essential fields in Quickbooks. I have also noticed that if you take payment in Quickbooks, that does sync into Acctivate to show that the product has been paid for.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have stated that they are solving some of the Syncing issues between QBs, which will alleviate a lot of troubles.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

The potential in the software is huge.  After building out the system, it is extremely powerful.  And we are barely scratching the surface of the software.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

As a small company, with no CTO, building the company and implementing the systems, was quite a lift.  The implementations specialist was helpful, but it will take a full-time position to train and learn the systems in order to properly implement and execute a manageable system.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are working to implement mobile inventory management.  This process has not been as easy as we'd hoped.  We had to rush our GoLive timeline by a month, in order to get the system up before our paid Service contract ended.  This led to some minor friction with Sales Representatives.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Every interaction with a customer (transactions, activities, emails, phone calls, etc.) is recorded and managed within the software.  The software is priced right for what it does, and support fees are reasonable.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

1. Wish it did statements (showing payments and balances due) by combining data from various invoices and sales orders.

2. Would like a cloud service (SaaS model).

3. Would like to be able to copy individual lines of a quote or sales order, without copying the whole quote or order.

4.  Would like global search function that can find anything across all customers or products, including things put in notes or other text fields.,

Keeps track of all customer and inventory data, in one place.  Interfaces fairly well (although there are often issues) with Quickbooks.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Our favorite feature is the highly customizable report system. Their support team regularly creates custom reports to suit our needs if the desired report does not already exist.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

The GUI sometimes appears a bit dated, but it works...can't complain too much there. We've also had a bit of an issue integrating customer access to their order history through our website, but it's a work in progress.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we began using Acctivate in 2013, they've added a number of features that directly impact our business. The most impactful addition has been the support for multiple currencies within the purchasing section of the software. As importers, we deal in 3-4 currencies regularly and Acctivate makes this a simple task to handle.

I like that you can have multiple warehouses for inventory management.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

I do not like that there are multiple steps to achieve a simple goal; for instance, there should not be three parts to entering a vendor invoice,  I also do not like that each PO is it's own invoice, there needs to be a solution for multiple PO's on the same customer invoice.

There are many problems with bulk invoicing.  Still waiting for the solution.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

The features of Average Cost rolling as inventory is increased as well as decremented makes costing simple. I appreciate that some customizations are available and the team is really friendly to work with when refining the software for your specific use.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

A few features are not as intuitive or streamlined as would be ideal. For instance, it would be helpful to print directly from the transaction list instead of having to access reports and enter the specific transaction number which had to be found elsewhere first. Some customizations cannot be achieved, though this is minor as there are a robust amount of available options. I have found that it's reasonable to have at least a few workarounds in any software to have it truly fit your needs. I do wish inventory cycle counts could be edited as you may have a typo and need to correct; the ability to make a new adjustment does exist, but it skews the visual history of the cycle counts.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking costs on a rolling value as the system is decremented and new purchases are made of raw materials is extremely beneficial for manufacturing. We have successfully implemented the software for our purchasing side and are beginning to progress to the finished goods and sales side. From our testing and usage so far, this has streamlined much of our work allowing us to eliminate complicated spreadsheets for tracking raw materials especially.

Acctivate's customer service is great. The software is easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.

We use the inventory tracking software, and sync to our QB account which works well.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

I wish there was some additional customization options regarding the Customer portal. I do think that the documentation on the Acctivate website could be easier to navigate when trying to find answers to questions that have come up. But again, just sending in a query to their support is usually a very fast turn around.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous inventory tracking was far too limited. This allows us to keep close track of all of our products across our different warehouses which is great, and the landed cost function is also well designed.

Unfortunately, the Customer Portal is part of an application which we use as our CRM and to manage tickets so we have no direct control over changes to that Portal. The timeline / transactions / history features are very helpful for cross-reference purchase orders, products and customers.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

It is very cumbersome and not intuitive or user-friendly.  
The training does not help much with the implementation, because in our case, there are many very specific factors to our industry that are not considered at the beginning, and we've had to find alternative solutions to problems that may not apply to other types of businesses.  Also, most likely, you will need customized reports and still not be able to get all the info you need.
The program is not very visual, in terms of what fields must be filled out on every screen/tab, and displaying too much information on one screen.

**Recommendations to others considering Acctivate Inventory Software:**

Make sure the system is compatible with your business and industry.  Also, the software would be more helpful if you have your own warehouse to manage, but not if you are using a 3PL.

Nothing so far, compared to the previous system we had.

It is easy to use for the most part and works with Quickbooks.

Some of the procedures do not seem intuitive. Everything seems so manual. It does not have much automation and requires me to remember much of what is happening. Also, much information must be updated in QuickBooks, not in Acctivate.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Ease of use, customization, ability to set different roles for different users.  I love how the customer service team is constantly improving their processes, and now I can submit a support request directly from acctivate website. I get an email sent to me confirming it was created, and I can reply to that email to further communicate with the support team.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

updates tend to fix issues but cause existing-working things to stop working. However, i do understand that this type of stuff happens across all industries. Fix 1 thing, break the other. There will always be fires to put out as we continue to change, edit, and improve our processes and flow. The least amount of custom coding you can work with the better as this type of data is the ones most likely encountering issues with updates.

**Recommendations to others considering Acctivate Inventory Software:**

If you are currently shopping for a new ERP system, i highly suggest you go for it ! Use Mendelson consulting for the implementation; they made the transition smooth and painless. They were local to us here in South Florida, however, they work all over the country across a broad range of clients in different industries. If you have a problem, i am sure Mendelson will come up with a solution!

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to manage and count inventory by hand, many many years ago. However, since migrating over to acctivate, all these manually counts are now done from the comfort of a desk looking at accticate. Manual counts have decreased in size however they are still important as you must audit and correct your inventory from time to time. Acctivate allows us to pull reports on products, customers, or POs in seconds.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

What I like best is the relationship I have with the programmers and support staff at Alterity.  I like that I can reach out to the staff and get a response in a day or have a quick call to explain any issue.  As for the software, I really love how it conforms to our business rules and immediately transcribes units of measurement from orders into our production. I especially like how we can utilize many sources from suppliers with their different names for each component. 

I'm very grateful that the product serves as a backbone to our ISO and NFS certification processes, and the best part,  it's very affordable.  Best value of all the ERP systems I've evaluated.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Not nit-picky personality doesn't always serve well with dislikes, but there are some basic (IMO) things I'd like to see in future builds - such as a modification to the Crystal Report Viewer that allows naming files automatically from report fields.  I'd like to see a way to enter QC data into the workflow process, and I'd like to hide some collums in the Assembly screens that are not needed for batch makers.  Other than that, the flexibility of the system far outshines the few minor things.

We used Excel to run the company for 20 years, but the complexity and redundancy of the workflow were choking any productivity we had.  Our office manager was always jumping between Quickbooks, Excel, Outlook, Word, FedEx, UPS, TrueCommerce , Shipping Companies Online, and Adobe Acrobat.  

Nothing integrated, and the copying between apps was driving her crazy.  Now she's got everything from one app that integrates with everything nicely.

Tracking serialized inventory is a breeze.  The Landed Cost function helps to track freight cost per item.  The seamless integration with QB made it an easy choice for us.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Not a lot we need that Acctivate doesn't do.  Some reporting is a little lacking.  Exporting some reports to Excel could be better.

I find that the workflow statuses of the orders help out quite a bit. You can customize them as you need, and when you go through the process the orders get placed where they need to go.

The scanner capabilities of Acctivate are where we are running into issues. I am not sure if we are expecting too much from the scanners, but knowing how to be able to do everything on the mobile level would be nicer.

It is a useful way to manage our inventory, and we look forward to adding barcode scanners to our system soon. The current method is outdated, so barcode scanners should make us more efficient.

It sorts the items for the pick ticket, but doesn't sort them after the items are picked. Then I have to look for each item out of order to enter the lot code. I emailed about this, but they have yet to add the feature.

I dislike how when you print an order or a pick ticket the system just moves the order wherever it wants to. Also, as far as locations go. Whenever I receive inventory in it just kinda throws the product in whichever location it wants to if that location is saved. No matter if you enter a new location, it always defaults ba to that, causing negative quantities.

Were sold this product, they promised the world, " if it doesn't do it, we will design the database as needed." That was not the case, and this software was to be our flagship to control our sales, service, and inventory. Far from what their sales personnel sold us. We are an communications company the dispatches service technicians and tracks order and inventory in a warehouse and mobile vehicles. Very little online sales with no retail store front.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Acctivate does not track service calls, dispatch tracking, inventory tracking in vehicles, very convoluted and antiquated. Technical support does not respond to or answer your problems directly. We always informed that's in the next release to keep you on board to pay their yearly fee, which was astronomical. After $ 12,000.00  to purchase, then five additional modules at $ 1,500.00  ( $7,000.00) because we needed them to get what we were looking for in our company. We lost time, not to mention the monies, with our daily operations with no refund offered and non-commital to their product, then to told the renewal is $ 6,000.00 a year for the support, we dumped this product and handed it off to legal to resolve.

Buy something else; this software is built on a 15+-year-old design, it needs to be redesigned to today's standards. Their salespeople are very good at misleading you and promising everything to close the sale. It cost us 22k to learn this lesson. I think the dashboard is simple but well done. We can scan products quickly and thanks to our external handheld the data transfer works perfectly. We can see in the report how much of each product is available. We can also track sales and see the status of transactions.

Unfortunately, I can only partially link the software to our billing software, so certain steps still have to be done manually.

The Software cost is reasonable. The on-boarding process is very well supported. The Server and workstation software install is trivial as the on-boarding support person fills in most of the blanks. The knowledge base is large and answers most questions. Support is excellent. The support for QuickBooks is great but see my dislikes if you plan on using this software. I don't think Acctivate understands much about State and Federal Compliance Regulation and they should since this is a business financials driven application.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

If you are using Office 365 (the 64-Bit version) it is not supported, email does not work (in App) to send invoices from the Acctivate App to your customers. The Acctivate suggested Workaround is to install an SMTP Relay. This is a SERIOUS SECURITY VULNERABILITY, if you setup an SMTP Relay you will be sending customer account information in a clear text email which anyone can read, so invoices with account numbers can also be read BY ANYONE. I sent a very long worded email to an acctivate rep about this on April 7th and have received no response, today is April 12th. https://hub.acctivate.com/articles/sending-email-with-office-365 is the Link from the acctivate Knowledge Base on their Website support page which discuses the 64-Bit workaround. The only way to fix this issue is to build an SMTP Relay and add an SSL/TSL certificate which will cost ~$400.00 for 5 years. If you install the certificate it likely wont fix the issue unless you also configure an IIS server, so you need a web server to fix an email issue. Additionally, Acctivate does not even hint at installing a security certificate in their support guide. The current version of Acctivate is 11.0 SP1 which was just released and is only a 32-Bit application, so if you have a large organization that will be using this Application your going to run out of memory on your host server at the 4GB ceiling, 32-Bit apps have a 4GB memory limit no matter how much memory your server has installed. Microsoft deprecated Office-365 32-Bit in September 2018. Not Supporting 64-Bit Office is an issue, suggesting a workaround that does not meet current State and Federal Compliance Regulations is an even bigger issue.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has solved incoming and outgoing inventory availability and wholesaler inventory availability review very well. Acctivate integrates great with quickbooks and only really has one flaw that I can find. Acctivate is not a 64-Bit application which causes some feature failures. It also has memory issues due to its 32-Bit code base. Most Software vendors are not going to invest in 64-Bit code upgrades unless customers force them to do it. They'll wait till they are forced to do so by the Server/Client OS 32-Bit compatibility requirements, which are coming fast. If they wait too long you'll be stuck in a compatibility loop. You wont be able to upgrade a server because the application your business depends on is not 64-Bit compliant. Additionally, 32-Bit software is more vulnerable to security exploits. This is a financial based software, Cyber Security is not negotiable with this in mind.

**What do you like best about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

Inventory control all in one place, ordering, receiving, invoicing, and being able to see the inventory in real time. Additionally, it syncs with QuickBooks. Furthermore, such support could be quickly and easily received from a competent support team. I really like that a lot of information can be stored and accessed in reports in widgets and through quick searches.

**What do you dislike about Acctivate Inventory Software?**

The callback times for support have increased. It will often freeze in continuous cycles and the program will shut down. I wish this had a function to synchronize data between QB in the background and thus also be able to fix synchronization items without calling support.

**Recommendations to others considering Acctivate Inventory Software:**

The system seems to be more oriented towards a store-based company that also has online sales.

**What problems is Acctivate Inventory Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to link Quickbooks and manage all the inventory. Before Acctivate, we didn't have a system at all, which was a nightmare. It helped us get organized and manage them.
