From the initial reporting of the issue to assigning it to the correct person, to getting it done and finished on the system, everything is very straight forward and I wouldn't imagine running our business smoothly without it. **What do you dislike about Accruent Maintenance Connection?** The only moment I'm not the biggest fan of Maintenance Connection is when the system is down for updates (which is crucial and very useful) or issue fixing, as it's hard to get the full use out of it. However the system goes back up very quickly and we can start using it again very soon after. **What problems is Accruent Maintenance Connection solving and how is that benefiting you?** Maintenance Connection helps us fix all sorts of issues around our building, from electrical issues to general maintenance. I was helped to set up my account, but the process was simple. **What do you dislike about Accruent Maintenance Connection?** On different occassions I have run into the issue of when submitting my monthly supply PM's, that after saving the information, I would have to reload the page to search for a new work order number. Simple reports aren't available due to how they have things setup. A good CMMS should have easy report creation, able to format columns as one would like, organize tables that helps them make business decisions, and the list goes on. There just isn't a relaxed feel when using this software. Utilizing this allows us to break the machine down into individual parts and track the wear for the individual parts. In turn, this Will help us to determine when we need to maintain certain parts for this specialized piece of equipment. We can then schedule and have details on hand to complete a quick change over the part we are having issues with. All tools/modules work effectively, but allowing more Admin controls to some of the features would be very helpful. Specifically, Rules Management and Reports Management. Reduce Downtime Work order and equipment history data (e.g. types of repairs, frequency of repairs and failure causes) can be used to identify trends, eliminate failures and improve equipment reliability, resulting in reduced equipment downtime. It collects all the information necessary to optimize efficiency within a maintenance department and it is incredibly helpful in organizing work flows. If you have a large team that does a lot of small projects, this site is wonderful for tracking and monitoring purposes. **What do you dislike about Accruent Maintenance Connection?** It is confusing, and it needs quite a bit of work. The database is helpful, but only if you know how to work it correctly. One wrong click, one piece of information forgotten, one small mistake, and you won't get the data that you need. There are many faults in the system. Previously, they had MC University which was extremely helpful in learning new ways to get or collect data, to vent about frustrations and get helpful feedback, but also the forum where dozens of other companies who also utilize this program were able to get one one form and discuss issues and solutions. Included in MC University was the basic training videos that, if you needed, you could go to at any time and re-learn the system. They ended up switching over to a new training center, and it is not as helpful as MC University was. So there is a learning curve to this system. I have been working with it for 3 years and I still fall short on knowing how to do tasks that should be simple. (Mainly in reporting) **What problems is Accruent Maintenance Connection solving and how is that benefiting you?** A major issue that MC has helped me with in both companies I have used this in is tracking work orders. This seems like it would be easy enough to do, but when everything is in paper, work requests fall through the cracks more often than we would like. The system has helped with organizing work requests as they come in, monitoring down time on an asset, and alerting us if work has been 'sitting on the back burner' for too long. ### 33. Get training on the reports that are available and how to edit them to make them what you need, the report system is pretty good and can save a lot of time. **What problems is Accruent Maintenance Connection solving and how is that benefiting you?** By making sure all equipment is reviewed by technicians on a periodic basis we've reduced mechanical downtime by 50%. Using the requestor portal defects are identified by personnel in different departments -these are then addressed by our techs and when the work order is closed it sends an automated email to the requestor. The best part of this program is the user interface on both the requester side, as well as the super user / technician side. Its very easy for users to submit a request. And its very easy for our maintenance technicians to complete work orders. There are also a bunch of custom settings and buttons we can add to make it specific to our organization. **What do you dislike about Accruent Maintenance Connection?** Some of the default templates have a ton of information that I wish we could remove. This is definitely not a big deal, but it would be nice to remove some of the buttons and features we dont use to clean up the user experience. **Recommendations to others considering Accruent Maintenance Connection:** Recommend a thorough discussion with your vendor partner. We brought forward how our organization is broken apart, and how we would want the software to run. The partner then designed the system with that in mind, and showed us how to use it. MC does go out of their way to help make sure that we are happy with the project. MCU is a great additional feature for people trying to get more out of the application. I can personalize the application based on how each site we implement will use it. **What do you dislike about Accruent Maintenance Connection?** No after hours support and not enough releases/improvements made within any given year. MC's inconsistent performance on RF guns and while it is good to cater to smart devices, let's not forget how traditional warehouses operate. The LDAP is not built for more than a hand full of databases--so it is difficult to maintain or use when you have a larger number of databases. **Recommendations to others considering Accruent Maintenance Connection:** This is a good overall product that is very easy to adapt to and support is very responsive to questions and issues.
