Onboarding we didn't received the help we expected. When we migrated all the future appointments most of the exams if not all of them were added additional time when the got uploaded in Abbadox. we had to fix this manually. I love the scheduling wizard in AbbaDox. It provides easy step-by-step instructions and lets us find the first available appointment quickly, which is crucial for getting patients on our books faster. The one part that was very confusing was the rules for the rooms. You have to set it up backwards; like if it says open room, it really means the hours that the room will be closed. If room 1 needs to open between the hours of 8-4, then that is what I should put in, but I have to put 4-6. I think a little more training would have helped. We did have a time with someone on a team's meeting, but it was very much a walk through without time for us to do it step by step on our end. Our go live had to be postponed, but the AbbaDox people still came. I find the availability of patient information to everyone on our team—like billing, report generation, and technologists—really beneficial. It essentially turns it into an electronic medical record without the typical costs. This capability is crucial because it allows my billing department access to information even if they're not physically at the clinic, which speeds up billing, claim collections, and handling denials. I think my biggest critique of the AbbaDox system is the downtime. They get it corrected quickly, but because it is an Internet-based system, we frequently have issues with lag and downtime. By downtime, I don't mean so much the system isn't working at all. But because it is a system designed to be paperless, we have a lot of transfer of data and information like ID cards and electronic forms that have to be uploaded or transferred electronically into AbbaDox. When that process fails due to poor Internet connectivity or something on the back end related to IT, it slows our workflow downstream. AbbaDox is by far one of the easiest systems to use. Throughout my many years in Radiology and the medical field, I have worked with approximately 20 different systems. I’ve had a very positive experience with AbbaDox overall and do not have any significant concerns with the platform.
