**What do you like best about Zello?**

We are an Emergency Response Organization. We are often in the field with limited connectivity. In addition, we may not be granted VHF/UHF licensing for the use of our Two-Way radios in-country of operation... Zello puts our mind at ease - It is multi-platform and allows us to communicate, track, and ensure our team is secure...

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

There is a bit of a learning curve - our staff rotate on missions - so each time new staff arrive most are not familiar with Zello...  They are are sometimes non-technical as well... they are highly specialized in their profile nurses, doctors, logisticians, techs, lab team, etc...  But a brief demo on initial briefing usually does the trick

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We often are deployed to conflict zones or high-security contexts. Having Zello ready at our side to inform the team or be aware of vehicle/personnel movements is key...

If i could use the gps tracking to tally the amount of km's a driver has driven it would be beneficial.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The app driven tool allows the department/team communicate discreetly as it resides on your smartphone, a bluetooth device can be attached allows an endless way to operate/communicate be either in open calls, text/image messaging and emergency group/all call options.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Zello is effective when the wifi is within grasp of our phones. But since the hotel is in a multi-use development and our scope of area of responsibility is beyond just the hotel premesis, we hope to have some sort of cell auto connection when the hotel work wifi cannot be within reach of our phones.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less bulky way to communicate vs the old bulky and cumbersome portable radios. While radio waves are reliable than wifi because during power outages or server downtime, Zello is useless and as a backup those clunky bulky portable radios take control now of the situation.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Zello is easy to use for both drivers and operations staff. I introduced Zello to our company, Lovatt Transport, looking for an alternative to our outdated two-way system. Setting up Zello on drivers tablets eliminated having to physically mount two-ways in all the vehicles, which were expensive and unreliable. 
Since we changed from traditional two-way to Zello, the operations office is much more peaceful. This is because each operator has the system on their computer rather than a central two-way base station that everyone needs to hear. Communication with drivers has improved immensely. 
The best thing about Zello is there is little to no downtime or communication issues with the drivers. 
I don't think i could ever go back to a traditional two-way system.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

I cannot think of any downsides to using Zello.
It is pretty much 'set and forget'.
The backup from Zello when there is an issue is excellent.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1.Communication with drivers has improved since introducing Zello. 
2.The system is user-friendly for drivers and allocators.
3.It has eliminated an expensive two-way system.
4.Eliminated hard wiring two-ways into vehicles.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The implementation was really easy, and the management console gave us many options to give the stores access to managing their own part of Zello. The efficent and fast communication is just a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

I can't think of many things at the moment. Of cause there are a few features we're missing in the product, like display names in channels and additional roles in dispatch channels. 
But I wouldn't say it's a dislike of Zello

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a old communication system and need a change. Zello helped by providing a effecient communication system and optimized the experience for the employees and our customers. The feature that allows you to send a picture is a very loved feature among our employees. Also the one-to-many communication has change a lot. 
We saw a huge positive impact on the NPS score in our stores after implementing Zello.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The savings over traditional cell phones is enormous.  The call recording will save your company in terms of compliance issues and employee instruction.  No more Employees saying, "you never told me that
 or "You did not tell me to take my break" The recordings are always there to resolve these issues.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

I had difficulty setting up channels; the support team had to help me.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It records the conversations between drivers and managers; this has been a great tool. We have a lot of Laws in CA about lunch breaks, and when they are taken, Zello records the dispatcher telling the driver to clock out for a break. We have had drivers come back and say they were not instructed to take a break within the legal time, but we can prove they were instructed using the zello recordings.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The biggest benefit for us was the accessiblity via the API. While the web management console is easy to use our deployment depends on custom integration services. The documented API is easy to use and the provided SDK's worked great.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Zello is driving a lot of advancements with their own applications but one area that is forgotten about is the dedicated radio support. We rely heavily on physical radios from Telo and there are features that sometimes don't work or are hard to enable. While we provide feedback on what we would like to see we have no visilbity if there is any traction on the suggestions.

We rely on reliable and instant communication for our teams. The main benefit we have is via the dynamic channels and support for physical radios instead of relying on cellphones always.

We are a taxi company, and we use Zello because it provides us with flexibility, fast, and precise messaging between drivers and dispatchers. We love the Dispatch Hub, as it is the most useful tool for us

It would be very important to develop reporting capabilities in Zello and provide the option to download reports. Additionally, it would be highly beneficial if the desktop app could save conversations for a longer period of time

Its fast. Drivers don't need to answer the phone to receive a message. They hear the message hands free. messages are recorded and can be played back in case you missed a detail.

There are minor improvements that could be made to the Dispatch Hub, but Zello had their product team reach out to get my suggestions. What more could you ask for?

for the moment it seems like a long installation and startup process for our construction company. At least there are technicians available to help us.

I really like the versatility of the tool. It's really useful in different situations, from work to hobbies.

Sometimes when network isn't perfect, it lags a little bit but it's something you expect from a walkie-talkie app working with internet connection.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Able to use this application during emergency situations to connect with people in distress. It's a great application to use to communicate with other people that are willing to help. It's great to be able t assemble an emergency team in short order by using this application.  I also like that it can track all of the team members.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

The only dislike that I have is using my cell phone data, but it doesn't use that much considering I'm using Zello in short interactions usually. I'm unsure of how to find channels without listening and then joining.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to use Zello for hiking in remote areas and when I'm off-roading in my SUV or on an ATV. It's a good way to communicate with people if I get stuck and need help; you can sometimes find other people that are close and willing to assist. I will also provide assistance when called upon by other Zello users.

Zello allowed us to speak with employees while they were out in the field working without having to make a ton of phone calls. We were able to select groups to communicate with in addition to individuals.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Zello tended not to work as well as expected. There were severe delays, and sometimes the program did not work at all, which created a lot of issues when trying to communicate with employees.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

If they have fixed the glitches in the system, this would be a great tool to use to communicate with employees out in the field if you need to address a large group at one time.

Communication was the fundamental problem we were attempting to solve with Zello, and while it did work from time to time, we found it to be a hindrance. We also found that we were able to communicate with people in other states from time to time.

Being Able to reach many people in a split second. The simplicity of design and one touch feature. None tools are required with this software. It is basically a new age walkie talkie no extra bulky equipment.

I haven't found anything to dislike. This product let's you mute eden not in use. It could be better with an ability to change the interface. It works great it just doesn't have much visual appeal.

You will love it, try it!

I am able to communicate on a drop of a dime without needed extra equipment. I am benefiting astronomically because I don't need new eq6.my performance increased because of the extra communication.

I like the security of zello. Someone sitting around with a police scanner can't listen in or interfere with business communications. As well as I like the ability to create workgroups.

The interface can be a little clunky. Having to go back and forth to accomplish some tasks within the app.

I would recommend Zello to others based on:
Cost
Ease of use and deployment
The administrative functions of adding and removing users

Instant quick communication. With a Bluetooth ptt mic if a situation arises you can instantly communicate with the team verse having to unlock phone, dail a number and wait for the call to go through.

I like that Zello is using an internet connection for communication. It's amazing! I like the most that it is saving audio messages so I can listen to them again. Also, there is an option to disable this if I wanted to.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

I wouldn't say I like that it's only communicating with other devices with Zello. It would be better if it could communicate without the internet. That is not a big issue, but it would be a nice feature.

The most significant benefit is that it broadcasts messages in real-time like radio stations. I can inform all of the coworkers of my current status, and that is very useful. I love it.

The interface is easy to navigate; voice message history is nice. I like how it manages people speaking at the same time.

I've found it more useful for fun than for actual situations that you have to rely on it; not sure if they've fixed this since I last updated the app but longer voice messages sometimes caused it to glitch out and delete what had been recorded.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Worth giving it a whirl! Better than renting walkies for something small

Long messages getting deleted is one; but the way it manages people speaking at the same time is great. Doesn't have the same instantaneity (as it relies on internet/etc) as a walkie talkie but being able to listen back on messages is a huge plus.

Zello is an extremely easy and cost-effective to give your LMR system global range. Using a small gateway, you’re no longer tied to the range of your traditional radio system.

The only thing to dislike are the occasional maintenance outages, but those are few and far between, rarely affect usage, and ample warning is provided.

“Dead” areas in an LMR system are completely avoided using Zello.

Zello is a straightforward PTT app, serving as an alternative to making calls. It works well and allows 1on1 communication and group chatting. Application functions better than most other competitors with its simplicity and intuitiveness.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Zello is mainly a simple communications application not suitable for professional tasks. The voice messages sometimes glitch and can't be replayed once received. Moreover, support from the company wasn't stellar and required further attention.

The instant "walkie-talkie" feature, as long as the internet connection is available, is a huge plus. The app helped on specific small tasks, but group calls and communication required proper conferencing tools

**What do you like best about Zello?**

As an animal rescue with multiple locations, we have been using Zello for some time to manage our emergency teams. The connection is excellent - provided there is a good internet connection - and the voice communication is very good. The connection setup is fast, and the management and configuration of users and channels is simple and can be individually programmed.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

At the moment, there is nothing that we don't like.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our advantage is nationwide communication with just one system. This means we don't have to set up separate dispatch centers for each region, but can coordinate operations centrally. This significantly saves money and unnecessary structures.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Very simple, uncomplicated and easy to use PTT app. I liked the abundant options and features it came with that many other PTT apps did not do. It also reduced the cost drastically.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Honestly not many negatives to this app. The only negative is the occasional connectivity issues that the device succumbs to, leading to disconnection, which is annoying.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regardless of location, audio quality is usually top-notch. It is very user-intuitive, unlike other apps we experimented with. The intuitiveness made it easy for everybody to learn to use this app quicker. No training was needed saving us time.

Zello is overall a fun tool to use and operates just like a walkie talkie. It's super easy and user friendly and allows multiple users to engage at once.

If you are trying to send long messages, good luck as they often get deleted. I encounter bugs here and there on occassion.

I like that I can boost productivity by being able to communicate instantly with my co-workers.

I sometimes feel like communicating face-to-face is helpful in some instances and I cannot do that with Zello.

Communication is the main problem that we are solving with Zello. Being able to communicate with colleagues and coworkers has been helpful.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

This product is extremely handy to use when cell services can be down. I used it during some South Florida hurricanes and was able to communicate with others as needed.

There was nothing to dislike. It did what I needed it to do, enabling me to do what I wanted it to do.

The benefit that even with the cell towers down Zello was working for me and everyone else on the network.

Zello is a great walkie talkie application that functions as intended and pretty well.  I like that you can communicate clearly with others in a group with the appl - also like the push-to-talk button.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Paid version is much more useful. Hard when getting people to download on the fly to also pay for it - need to figure out a better option for bulk download prior to field deployment.

Make sure your staff/volunteers are well prepared to use the application.

Filing the gap  of radio communications when full frequency or viper radios are not necessary for small operations.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

I like the Zello Software because its application is very easy to install, easy to use, and has a quite acceptable storage capacity. Its utility is incredible because I can stay in touch with my coworkers or with the groups of friends I have formed simply by just pressing a button. The fact that it is capable of recording conversations is simply phenomenal because it allows me to listen to them again whenever I want or need to. It also allows for easy management when adding or removing users or contacts.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

So far, the only inconvenience we have had with the Zello software application is that when a call comes in, the communication is interrupted and unfortunately, it has no option to stop it. Therefore, my recommendation is that if there is a way to solve this small problem, it would be wonderful. Other than that, we have nothing bad to say.

if what you are looking for is fast, secure, and reliable communication, what you need is the Zello Software application, as it is a simple application that is not only easy to install but also to manage, both for adding or removing contacts and for communicating, which you do with just the press of a button.

The Zello Software application has allowed us to solve communication problems within the company, as with just the press of a button I can communicate with someone I select or with the group from another office or department if I prefer. It has also been the only solution I have found in areas where communication is unstable, as it does not consume much bandwidth.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

I like that everyone connected to the same channel can listen to the chat in real time. It's very useful that it's not necessary to have a very fast Internet connection when using the application, as sometimes the Internet service can fail in some parts of the country.
It helps save money because it doesn't consume the phone's balance and can work perfectly with just a few megabytes, so in an emergency, this application is very practical.
It's simple, easy to use and install. It has the option to keep the application session open or closed, as one prefers, which is very good because unlike other applications used for communication, you're always online and that consumes unnecessary megabytes.
Additionally, the entire conversation is saved, so if I need to listen to them again, I can do so without any problem.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

I don't like that if I'm using the app and a call comes in, then I stop hearing the chat, I don't have the option to choose whether to keep listening to the chat or answer the call. Some mobile devices like iPhones have trouble connecting with the app.

This application is very, very useful. To everyone considering it, please, don't think too much and download it to your devices.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, this application has been an excellent tool for staying connected. In my case, I use it to connect with my coworkers and discuss the cases. This application has helped everyone to respect the safety and hygiene rules that have been recently implemented due to the pandemic.

We now have the ability to talk to crews across the state. It also allows us to create channels & users as we need them. Our UHF system that we had only had 2 channels. With adding Zello we were able to create Tac Channels for special event & large scale events.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Honestly I have nothing that I dislike. I would maybe like to see a feature on there admin site where the admin's can see how much a channel is used during peak hours, and haw many keys up per radio.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Get it, it is totally worth it. Its worth the money. For first responders it is worth the grant they offer. It can save lives. It has already help us on psych emergencies where a psych patient was out of control, and the crew needed police back up quickly, they were able to key up their radio, and within 5 min police were on scene, and able to backup our crews. It's worth every cent you can not go wrong with this system.

Zello is allowing us to communicate in areas where we were. an example would be when we were walking in buildings & homes our portables would never work inside the building. Since we have added Zello to our fleet we are now able to talk to anyone and everywhere in the state & nationwide. We are realizing that we can have crews radio us wherever they are, and if they need additional recourses the dispatchers can send it to them right away. Before they were having to use their phone call the dispatch center ect.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

I love the ability to track users in real time in the field.  It assists in our ability to be accurate, on time, and expeditious in the release of information to a group.  In addition, we are able to send accurate information through multiple ways.  This is extremely beneficial for peer-to-peer communication and group communications.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Sometimes there is a delay in the tracking; however, it is not frequent and does not last long.  Other than that, it is a great product.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Definitely have a system set up for the distribution of usernames/call signs for your group prior to implementing Zello.  However, this should be a solid SOP prior to having Zello and should be in use for all other communication systems.  Like anything, organization is a key component to success and communications need to be on the cutting edge of this, especially for investigative organizations such as mine.  Make sure to conduct training sessions and/or have a training tutorial for new users.  There are so many great uses with this product, the user needs to understand how to utilize all of them to have the full affect.  It is a great product and creates large amounts of value for whatever organization it is implemented into.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The first thing which comes to mind is the ability to have a secure platform to send sensitive information on not only a peer-to-peer basis, but also to a group.  This is extremely important as my usage often includes sensitive information regarding child sex trafficking investigations.  Also, definitely broadcasting relevant information in multiple formats instantaneously.  We are able to use it as a PTT radio, text facilitator, and in-general communication device.  We are able to send all types of information in multiple formats.  This is especially useful as we use it for large operations involving investigators for our non-profit fighting child sex trafficking.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The increased capabilities in communications, this system has given us the ability to make our communications network unlimited. In the passed we were limited to basic analog land mobile radio. We now can talk into our radio system from anywhere with cellular or wifi! The channels that we have set up have created real time communications with groups that in the past would be individual landline calls. The ability for users to turn on and off talk groups when they are working has created an increase in usage from our employees. The cellular to land mobile radio has been the capability that has driven this product out of the park. For many years we were looking for a solution to do this and finally Zello has given us the ability to communicate via cellular into our radio system.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

There is nothing to dislike about this product! We use it every day. The Zello system is easy for anyone to operate from the dash board to the end user applications! What would have made it better is if we knew about it sooner!!

Absolutely, I have helped in creating 2 additional agencies with setting up Zello and I tell EVERYONE in public safety about it!

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a limited land mobile radio network. Our radio network has gaps in coverage that have cause issues when operating at an emergency scene. Also our agency responds to incidents well outside our radio coverage. With Zello and the gateway setup we are now limitless. We have also created numerous internal talk groups (channels) that have dramatically increased our communications capabilities. We also have linked ourselves to other like agencies and are sharing the capabilities that Zello has given us!

when multiple people are spread out around our wide workspace, Zello is by far the easiest tool to use to communicate quickly in an urgent situation where other forms of communication are not appropriate. the speed of the communication is one of the best attributes for my team. Multiple tasks must be started and completed exactly at the same time, so this allows our team to accomplish this and stay on schedule. 

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

in order for the application to work and serve its purpose, the volume must be on, which can lead to unintended listeners of confidential information, and disruptions during meetings. the walkie talkie making noise at innapropriate times is the biggest downside. however, this is a double edged sword, considering this is the exact purpose, to force all team members to hear the message.

Do not disclose confidential information, because there is no way to control who is present where the recipient is located.

solving lags in communication and the ability to start multiple projects on time, at exactly the same time. in an urgent situation, the ability to reach everyone on the team is extremely useful. before, our team exclusively used email and groupme to communicate, but these problems are solved because of zello.

Zello has provided us with a great breakthrough when it comes to communications. Our team used to have walkie-talkies to operate the operations, which was expensive, the equipment had to be kept up to date, and the range was also an issue. With Zello, we have solved all our problems and have a clearer communication platform to operate on.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

It seems to temporarily interrupt the service when switching between cellular coverage and WIFI coverage. This has caused us to lose some communications between team members.

Download it, use it, save time and frustration immediately!

It disconnects from time to time.  We are unable to determine why and it has not affected us operationally.

Its very easy and works perfectly with android phones.  The latest version for iPhone is working well.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Using Zello allows my organization to effortlessly contact each other in less-intrusive than a call and more immediate than an instant message. Sometimes a Slack message is good, sometimes an email is what you want, other times a text is perfect, and we all have phones, but there are other times when you need to get a message out instantly and you need to KNOW it was received. That's what Zello does better than anything else.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

I wish there were less expensive options for Zello Work for organizations like mine that don't need the mobile features.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

You'd think an IP based intercom system would be the easiest thing in the world to find, but guess what, it's not. If knowing who's at their desk and being able to press a button and ask a question is important then this service is the only one I know of that works.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our office we used to waste irritating amounts of time trying to figure out who was at his/her desk and who could take a call. Our phone system could show if they were on the phone, but if not it was impossible to know if they were at their desks and available to take a call. We tried mandating people had to answer Slack quickly, but I don't like treating people like children.

Easy to setup and great price.  Love that you can setup different groups and allows staff to use their own phones and works from anywhere.    We where able to replace our Verizon push to talk phones and save a lot of money.

Having to pay extra for maps and alert features.  But I do love these added features.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Try the Free Trial with 5 users and no cost.  If you have any issues or question contact their support by email.  They respond very quickly and are most helpful. The web console is very user friendly.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its saved my company over $1600 a month.  Love that I can upgrade or downgrade without costing me anything or locking me into any long term contract.
