## UXPressia Reviews
 ### 1. One of the best mapping tools

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cat R. | Service Designer, Lego® Serious Play® Facilitator & Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

I love that you can actually make user flows that show interactions between personas. The functionality is easy to use and doesn't overcomplicate things. I have used basically every mapping software out there (I was actually hired to review these tools for a UX team) and I always come back UXpressia as it does what I need from customer journeys right through to Service Blueprinting.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I would like a little more freedom on formatting - e.g. being able to colour a single card. Also, there's some limitations around presentation mode - it's a little clunky when trying to navigate the map.
It would be awesome if you could have more integrations - I would love to have this integrated with Dovetail as this is where we store all our insights.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I deal with a lot of complex customer/service experiences and systems with my clients. UXpressia allows me to synthesise and visualise complexity in a way that is tangible and understandable. It allows me to help my clients see problems from a customer's POV, as well as being able to understand the tech, people and processes that must align to deliver on the customer's expectations.

 ### 2. Easy Journey Building with an Intuitive, Editable UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

It's easy to create journeys and the UI is easy to edit

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

On one occasion all of our journeys just disappeared. The team sorted quickly, but it was unnerving

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick creation of journeys. Templates for thinking

 ### 3. Great to draw value

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan C. | CEO Fitness CX, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

The easiness of creating journeys from scratch. It is very intuitive for creating the flows and steps. It works as a white canvas, so you can create tailored journeys

To easily draw and create diagrams/journeys is the best

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I'm missing more collaborative functionalities like task assignment, task follow ups, easiness to nest journeys, more intuitive dashboards maybe.

I guess it needs more call to action features.

I feel UXPressia sits in the middle between Miro and Theydo.

(all this feedback is from a positive angle 😀)

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- showing customers their current improvement opportunities within their current customer journeys
- helping customers to get alignment
- It helps me to build deliverables as the outcome of the workshops I do
- it saves me a lot of time

 ### 4. Intuitive and very easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael B. | Founder & Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

I am an instructor and offer Customer Journey Mapping training courses. I always use UXPressia in my training courses because it is easy to use and intuitive. I don't need to spend half the course explaining to my students how to use the tool! It is easy to configure and is always being improved upon. It's a tool that can easily be used on a day-to-day basis as a CX Manager or other stakeholders to update and improve their customer journey. Easy to use in teams as a collaborative tool also. Great product.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I haven't found any negatives since I have been using the tool.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to demostrate very clearly how to create valuable customer journey maps, thereby allowing my students and customers to improve their cutsomers' journeys adding value to their customers and their own organizations.
The fact that it is easy to use as a collaborative tool means that it is easy to use in teams, just as journey maps should.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Imran N. | Engineering Intern, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

It has many resources such as personas, for example.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I dislike having to pay for UXPressia and not being able to view my work after the free trial.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with various templates for CJMs and personas.

 ### 6. User friendly app for CJM and Persona Development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lim T. | Student in customer experience and analytics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

User friendly app that is printable into pdf and jpg format. The app have CJM and persona development functions that is customisable to specifications. There is also subscribed education academy to learn more about CJM, Persona and Interviewing techniques. Uxpressia is possibly the only one app and the best for CJM and personas. 👍

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

There is no mobile app for phones or iPad - much of the mapping has to be created on websites using desktop or notebook

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPressia is easy to use and able to export to A3 size, unlike Miro canvas, excel or ppt format which is troublesome to combine all my CJM into one sheet of paper

 ### 7. Excellent tools, excellent support, excellent results in short while

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonardo Omobola K. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

The simplicity of the tools, the informative events, the tons of how-to videos on Youtube.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

There is nothing I dislike currently, an easy win I can recommend is adding more industry specific icons for channels.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me create decent personas and user journeys very quickly.

 ### 8. Relevant for describing and visualizing a customer experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

There are third-party tools missing to integrate into the platform to work faster (image banks, Canva, etc.)

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows for precise understanding of interactions with the brand/product.

Quick to use

 ### 9. Makes UX research happen faster

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

There's less busywork in building customer stories and maps, which leaves more time for us for deeper user research studies. It's very easy to get started and the flexibility of the layouts provide a good structured way to get our ideas. The implementation of the sentiment charts is good – again, very easy to link up personae to build out a more complete customer journey.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

There are some teething bugs around process channels getting cropped, and perhaps more customisation options for the icons will be great. Most significantly, allowing for deeper integration with tools such as Figma will be wonderful – easy cross-linking, insertion of live views, perhaps.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the education setting, it is allowing my students to better understand the process of journey mapping and using that to inform their design decisions further down the line.

 ### 10. A powerful platform to discover unmet customer needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2023

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

I like how comprehensive yet simple is mapping a customer experience map with UXPressia. More than 450 engineering students in my Technology Innovation courses at university have used this platform to identify unmet customer needs in an industry. I highly recommend UXPressia to anybody who wants an efficient tool to help them build a well-crafted User Experience Map and shed light on potential user pain points.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

Sometimes the system has mistakenly downgraded the educational account and students haven't been able to access their projects. However, this been a minor issue, since the support team has quickly fixed the problem.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPressia is a powerful tool to visually represent the findings unveiled in the research of customer needs.

 ### 11. Excellent support for education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Course Leader, Bachelor of Hospitality Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

The UXPressia platform has been a wonderful, easy to use tool to teach customer journey mapping to a group of undergraduate hospitality management students. In a short 12-week semester, students have time to learn about the concept of CJM and then implement UXPressia into an important final-year project. The support documents mean that they have reference points when I am not available.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I have never had any issues, and it is a significant improvement on the previous platform that I used.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPressia enables students to think ahead and plan customer journeys for designated project ideas.

 ### 13. UXPressia easy to work with CJM tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

UXPressia is an easy to work with - yet comprehensive - Customer Journey Mapping and Persona Creation tool.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

The CJM and Persona templates review function could be enhanced so to get a better sense of the template before committing to a certain template.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use UXPressia to create an indepth understanding of customers' decision making rpocess and what influences their decisions.

 ### 14. Easy to use Journey Mapping software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

It only takes minutes to set up an account and a journey on UXPressia - it was the easiest journey mapping software I've tried so far. I really appreciate the thought the company has put into the usability of the software. The pre-built templates also help speed the process, and the customizability of the journeys and personas is really excellent.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

So far, I've been unable to use any advanced features of the software, and the products are not yet quite on par with some of their competitors, in terms of ability to reduce complexity in adequetely linking journeys and nesting them as needed, assigning and measuring KPIs within the journeys themselves, and there are some inflexibilities around a few other areas which I think they are working on.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast and easy way to map journeys and processes in a collaborative way.

 ### 15. Wide expandability

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2024

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

Persona, used for creating CJM. I am impressed by its high scalability. There are also many suitable pre-prepared templates.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

There is no particular inconvenience; rather, the issue is not being able to fully utilize it. If I had to say, I couldn't find the button to copy when creating a persona.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We hadn't been thoroughly creating personas and were implementing strategies relatively by trial and error, but that is gradually being resolved.

Doesn't allow copying attributes from one JM to another, ppt export needs work

Understanding process similarities and differences across Business Units

 ### 18. Simple and Fantastic

I love that there are templates that help any level complete personas, journey maps, etc.
I also love the education and ongoing webinars.

Most the time I like the templates, and they give the ability to customize a bit. However, there have been a few times it was confusing to go deeper in customization.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UXPressia has allowed me to not spend hours to tell the customer's story. It has simplified the process, so that I can focus on the actual journey and experience.

The features offered by the tool just keep getting better and better over time. I love how intuitive and easy to use the tool is!

When managing large journey maps it can become time consuming to make color & font updates across certain sections as mass updates don't apply to everything

UXPressia helps me design easy to understand and attrative looking journey maps that quickly communicate a wealth of information about a given customer journey

I think there could be a guide for novice users that explains the process - almost like an expert assistant.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to map out customer journeys like never before and I've realized how helpful it is to have the emotive graph on he journey map.

 ### 24. Journey View for Students applying to different colleges/schools

Simple website to navigate through customer journey. Couple fo sample templates help to create the journey view. Free tier without credit card is apprecited for evaluation.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

If one has to integrate with other data feeds, it is unclear if such a capability exists and is natively supported or not.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create a Customer Journey View for students applying to different schools/colleges.

 ### 25. Customer Journey Experience for Contact Center Customers

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

The UI is quite intuitive. I liked both the graphical and textual inputs to create journey maps. Templates are indeed helpful to get started. Glad to see different templates mapped to diffeent verticals

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

Good to see Azure AD Integration. It was not clear if SSO/SAML support is there in the application. Can the system consume REST based API exposed by any vendor to populate custom data elements in different part of the CJ - was not intuitive. It may exist within the platform and needs some exploration.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer Journey for Contact Center Use Cases

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

There's nothing specific that I don't like except the subscription fee. I'd wish there was a cheaper option as well.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating CJM for a health design project

 ### 28. All that you need for documenting a user research in 1 place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2020

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

1. I loved how easy and intuitive is the CMJ flow as Personas.
Before I've struggled to find a tool on the market that would reflect the way I'm creating personas offline. Some of the tools ask to create personas in the survey manner, while it's more natural to iterate the board when all the content blocks presented in the same canva.
2. A also love templates and customizability of the tools.
3. I also loved that you can add your own branding to the project area.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

1. Logo and branding could be improved, but the experience is great overall.
2. I've spent some time trying to organize the folders and projects. I was looking for more actions to do with a project (hidden in the 3 dots icon) and each time I'd accidentally delete the project. This flow felt a little clumsy.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPressia:**

Maybe update online branding to create a stronger trust.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documenting all the user research insights in one cohesive presentation.
This is really helpful.

 ### 29. Great product for customer journey mapping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2020

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

We have been using the tool for the last couple of years, when working with our clients. Generally the client love the tool, as it has a very clean interface. Overall, the tool is very intuitive and easy to use and any one can pick it up and use it straight way.

The tools has great features:

1. Templates
Great range of templates that are available to use, we like that it covers a variety of different sectors.

2. Impact assessment
This is a brilliant feature in the tool, it helps bring everything together. It is great that you can create a journey map and link both the personas and impact assessment with the map. This really helps when working with clients, as you walk them through the full journey.

3. Collaboration
Remote collaboration is dream on this tool and would recommend you try this with your clients

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

While it is a great tool, some of the areas could be improved:
1. It would be great and very helpful if it was integrated with Jira or even confluence
2. The format of the downloads could be improved

**Recommendations to others considering UXPressia:**

Try the free plan, first to see if it will meet your need and then commit to the pro plan

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using this tool to map out the current "as is" customer journey to understand the user experience and pain points. We then use the same tool to be map "to be" customer journey this allows us to understand where improvements have been made.
The swim lane are not pre-defined you can change the titles to make it more reflective to the client that you are working with.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

I enjoy the persona and customer journey mapping sections of UXPressia. I feel that these sections really get you thinking about how your website can improve in meeting the needs of your target audience.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used UXPressia to overcome potential obstacles with the experience of my site's users. I have had greater awareness of the emotions that my site's users may experience when they visit my site, which in turn helps me to improve my site.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I wish the element selection was better. From my experience, you have to select each item separately. It would be great if you could add multiple elements to the page at once.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the best way to present a student competition to users.

 ### 34. This is the software that my Customers like to use in the company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

I use this software for the company where I work because I am a graphic designer and I need a software in which I can develop in the advertising area of the company creating a series of maps for the different branch offices of the company and this software is definitely which best suits that objective.

About the things that I like about UXPressia, mainly, is that all the designs and business projects that I create through this software are very professional. When it comes to the maps that I have to create to add them to the other designs I create them in the easiest and simplest way because this software is very simple to be able to develop and use, if I want to share them with my co-workers I do it because UXPressia also comes with that option. I can create all the map designs that I want because there is no limit, the only limit here is you because this software lets you be very free and lets you work your way and how you feel more comfortable and I love that.

I definitely like this software because it locates the exact address of the company, so it also guides customers, suppliers and other interested parties.

And finally, I really like the price.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

These are some things that I do not like about this software:

1.- Not available for the most Product Marketing projects.

2.- Little connection with other software.

3.- It has very few export options and it has not enough because many of us use PNG and it lacks that option, a colleague also told me that it did not have the PDF option.

4.- I do not like the text fonts because it makes the texts look pixelled.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPressia:**

It is well known that this software is very easy to use and also helps a lot but I would like to add a couple of functions to improve the projects and designs.

But if you tell me that if I recommend this software, of course, UXPressia would complement your business and make it much easier to locate and more attractive to the public, do not hesitate to obtain it, and take advantage of it at a good price.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yes, I feel that the company has improved a lot since we have been using this software because UXPressia taught us to be more responsible and to be much more interested in our customers because not everything is about the image of the company but also the interest of the customer.

As a designer of the company, it helped me a lot; to be more creative and play my way.

It also helps customers to locate themselves and be able to reach the nearest branch or one of their preference.

 ### 35. Easy to use and easy on the eyes!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

I love that UXPressia has the auto-generate persona feature. They have a wide variety of photos and names to choose from based on the location you're creating for. It takes the guess-work out of trying to come up with our own. HUGE time saver!

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

I wish the customer journey creation tool was as easy to use as the persona creation tool, but it's close.

**Recommendations to others considering UXPressia:**

Pay for a full year in advance. They cut 2 months off the total price!

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently created (and blew up into poster size) personas that we hung all around our board room. This really helps us when we're discussing products and services.

 ### 36. Best tool for CJM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikita E. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2018

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

I can easily create professional looking maps. And I can use them not only for myself and my team, but it's not ashamed to show these maps to CEO and other departments (when compared with maps built with spreadsheets).

I can easily create as many maps as needed for my complex product and link them together.

"Impact maps" is a powerful feature which helps to brainstorm ideas in the context of business and customers goals.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

Small text size in some areas. Hard to read it.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more sticky notes falling off the wall!

Their blog helped us to improve our understanding of CJM technique.

 ### 37. So far we have been pretty happy with the service.

**What do you like best about UXPressia?**

We zeroed down on after having a close look at alternatives in the market.

**What do you dislike about UXPressia?**

There are a few tweaks I would make for ease of use. Also it would be great to have other exporting options as well beside PNG and PDF.

**What problems is UXPressia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our designer a lot. It helps as to create more user friendly and intuitive customer journeys.
