I truly enjoy working with this platform. Everything is intuitive and easy to use, even for beginners. The availability of high-quality templates allows me to create videos quickly and customize them to my needs. Occasionally, technical issues occur. While support responds immediately and resolves problems quickly, communication is limited to email only—there is no option for live calls or screen sharing, which would make troubleshooting easier. Another drawback is the lack of a project library feature; all saved files are in one list, so I have to scroll through multiple projects to find what I need. I like some of the effects used for the text on screen. I enjoy being able to organize all of my videos, having them in one place, and making them easily accessible and searchable. It's nice to be able to save scenes and share them. I find Powtoon very easy to learn. The AI video generator is pretty good, although it can be improved. I appreciate being able to save and reuse scenes which makes it faster and less tedious as I swap out text for new lessons. The on-screen text effects are easy to use and align well with audio narration, even though I'd like more effects and fonts available. The AI video generator is a great feature because it helps enhance lessons visually. A few AI voices sound realistic and enhance the videos compared to just having text. I get frustrated by so many bugs in Powtoon. I really wish you could have more than 2 videos per scene. The AI video generator often puts out black borders on top and bottom unless specified otherwise, and even then it only works about half the time, wasting my time. A 'continue from last frame' feature for the current video could be really helpful. Powtoon lacks customization options, like being able to move the brand logo freely. The stock footage, props, and special effects need more variety. Loading times for search are quite slow and there isn’t a search function in 'my media'. The quality of AI-generated images is outdated and needs improvement. I am not happy with the current font options and text effects, we need more variety. I use Powtoon for creating videos and appreciate the quick and easy solution it provides. I like the various options in the templates, which are easy to use. Additionally, having everything in one spot is convenient because I don't have to pull pictures from one place or music from another; it's all in the same area. Great for a global team to keep track of templated video clips, such as video intro/outro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. The timeline limitation. You can only add or cut one second at a time, and cannot adjust the timeline by less than one second. This makes video creation buggy. Because if I have an audio that's 10.3 seconds long, I'll have to make the timeline 11 seconds. That 0.7 second of silence will be awkward.

2. Lack of flexibility for animations and transitions. You cannot adjust the speed or time for any animations, which makes the video seem too rushed and doesn't really fit the audio.

3. Adding texts are not user friendly. You'll have to drag the text to where you want it to be, and then click the textbox multiple times for you to edit it. Sometimes your edits to the text will not be saved properly, so make sure to double-check if the final work is what you want.

4. AI text-to-speech works well, but the character limitation is so annoying!! 600 characters at a time is really not enough. And if you have multiple audio tracks on one slide, the timeline will be messed up. And when you try to drag the audio tracks to the correct timing, the timeline will not allow you to do so properly. You'll have to click the 'edit' mode and then come back to 'create' mode for the timeline to work properly. E.g, if your window is showing [0:17-0:35] right now, but you want to drag your audio clip from [0:20] to [0:01], then you'll have to click 'edit' and then back to 'create' multiple times for the audio to be dropped to 0:01. I really like the structure and variety of features available on Powtoon. The templates are incredibly helpful when I need to create quick videos, saving a lot of time without compromising quality. I recently tried the text to video tool and was genuinely surprised at how well it works, it’s intuitive and produces great results.
