**What do you like best about OnShift?**

OnShift is very easy to use and offers many updated, modern features. Their customer service is also great—quick to respond and genuinely helpful whenever I need support.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

I do not have much bad to say about OnShift. I would like to see more AI features in the future.

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling a healthcare facility with many different roles and positions, along with varying and complex schedules, while still keeping everything organized.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

The best part of this software is the messaging part. It is easy to mass message and get info out quickly.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

We implemented this software slowly and it has become an okay tool. I would like to see it connected to our time clocks so that we can better track our hours and punches without having to take extra steps. The time clock and Onshift never seem to match up.

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None to my knowledge...The scheduling part of it, the reason we got it, just didnt work for us. We had a lot of issues and we use real time and the system doesnt work that way and it was just really hard to use and keep up with.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

Once I became familiarized with the program, it was fairly easy to use. The app on the phone for employees to use is also easy once everyone had received the training.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

What I dislike is the character limit on the messaging portion to send out to employees. It is limited to 140 characters. It would be nice if it was increased to 280 characters.

It is easy to look at the big picture with OnShift. A lot of my questions can be answered by just a few simple clicks.

It is very easy to use on the desktop or mobile app. The real time updates are crutial for effective and efficient staffing.

There are periods where it runs slowly, or not at all. When we are in a busy part of our day, we need it up and running

Very clear picture of our staffing needs. User friendly.  Easy to navigate and move people between units. I like how we can set staffing levels and quickly see if we are above or below needs.

Holes in the schedule can be quickly filled by the ability to message staff for fill-ins instantly.

A grey color notes holes in schedules. It would be easier to see if they were a yellow warning for understaffing than the muted grey.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

Onshift is easy to use.  It is very flexible and intuitive.    During a COVID outbreak, we were even able to set up an alternative schedule to meet the higher staffing needs for the COVID unit.

Additionally, Onshift allows us to easily document attendance.  With the Engage feature, we are able to reward our carepartners for good attendance and clocking in and out on time.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

We would like Onshift to bring back the Wallet feature.  That was super helpful and used by some of our carepartners.

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onshift offers flexibility for our carepartners.   Because the carepartners are able to pick up shifts through the Onshift app, we have been able to decrease our agency use.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

The first thing that comes to mind is Automated scheduling. The OnShift Automatic Scheduling module allows us to quickly create schedules that take into account the availability and preferences of each employee. Additionally, automatic synchronization does not demand manual synchronization and reduces the risk of synchronization errors.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

This is not a downside, but a thing that may not expect as it is. Honestly, OnShift can be complex to implement and set up, especially for larger organizations. It may take some time to customize the platform to meet the specific needs and requirements of the organization.

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OnShift's time and attendance tracking features helped us to reduce timekeeping errors and improve accuracy. Employees were able to clock in and out using the OnShift mobile app, and managers had real-time visibility into who was on the clock and when.

We were also able to use OnShift compliance management tools to keep up to date with important rules and requirements, such as ensuring that all employees have the necessary certificates and training

Really, the nicest tech people I've ever worked with. They are very concerned about ensuring their clients are happy with their product and eager to fix anything.

They're busy, so sometimes response times arent as quick as I like, but I'm a bit impatient so it could be me :)

PBJ has been the biggest issue and OnShift is doing everything they can to get it working properly so that we rate a 5 star every time.

Ability to make a change to someone's schedule globally instead of having to do each day individually. The reports are easy to read and allow staff to see the schedules posted easily.

I am not able at this time to enter my own new hires and have to have customer supports help.

It has replaced manual scheduling allows staff to easily see open shifts.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

It is easy to navigate through Onshift, making the system very user-friendly. It is easy to create templates of schedules and with staff using the app on their phones, they have their schedule on hand all of the time, so they do not miss a shift, can see their days off or whether their vacations were approved, etc.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

When printing each day;s schedule, the way they are arranged are somewhat difficult to read, especially when several nursing units, positions, and shift are involved.

There are no problems that Onshift is solving for me at this time, everything for the most part runs smoothly, with the little hiccups here and there with the system being slow at times.

The communication Onshift provides between the employer and the employee regarding schedules is a great timesaver.

OnShift is a software developed for scheduling and new hire managment. I appreciate the high level of customer service. Mia is a huge asset to OnShift and is always responsive. Thank you to the Onshift Team!

Sometimes new hires would have issues creating a profile, but Mia was always there to help.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

I like how easy it is to use the platform to set up the employee schedule. It is user friendly and easy to navigate. I appreciate being able to pull reports on overtime which saves me the time from logging on to the payroll system. I like there is a mobile app available even though it does not have all the capabilities of the actual website. I think it is also great for communicating with staff because you can send individual and group messages.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

There are two main things i don't like about OnShift. I don't like the limited capabilities of the app from a mobile device because i can not see my actual schedule. The app is only good for retrieving staff phone numbers. If I need to see my schedule or make any edits to my staffs schedule, i have to log onto the computer because it is not possible to do on a mobile device. When replying to messages, it is quite bothersome because you must reply to the specific code that is sent rather than simply replying by hitting the send button. I wish they would fix that feature so that it would be more easy to respond to messages.

**Recommendations to others considering OnShift:**

I would add more features to the mobile app since right now it is very limited and just allows users to use the staff directory. I would also change the messaging reply feature to make it more seamless and easy to respond instead of replying to a specific numerical code.

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to solve a lot of the overtime in my department. I like how it prompts me every time i'm about to schedule an employee into overtime. The system offers me alternative staff to schedule instead. I find this feature very helpful because it shows me the projected overtime I may experience for the upcoming schedule.

I liked the convenience of being able to send out mass messages and open shifts to the team. The points and surveys you can send out are also great for employee retention

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

It still isn’t very user friendly on a phone as the administrator

It will save your scheduler so much time

Saves so much time for a scheduler. You can easily send out open shifts and there’s no excuse from employees that they didn’t get the message etc.

The app is easy to use, and provides users with the ability to pick up extra shifts or request a fill-in. We can also see who is working our scheduled shift with us, and earn points for clocking in/out on time and working consecutive shifts.

Can't see who is working with me unless they are scheduled for that exact same shift.

Very easy for employees to use and keep track of their schedules.

The layout for the monthly printable schedule is confusing.

You are able to request shifts through the app rather than having to contact he manager every time. You can also see who will be working with you and what floor you’re on.

Sometimes it can take a while for it to be updated to reflect actual staffing.

It allows me to be better prepared for work that day knowing which residents I will be working with.

I liked that the software connected all the employees by phone and messages can go out to their phones.  I liked that it was a fast quick way to communicate with all employees at once or a specific group.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

For us, it just didn't seem like it would work well enough for us to justify the cost.  We only have 39 employees and I can see how it would be much better for a company with more employees.

We never actually purchased OnShift for the above reasons.

Ease of use.  There is an app, so no excuses for employees not looking at their schedule.  Many different options on how to receive messages and open shifts.

Building templates can be difficult, the initial set up is tedious.

Tracking overtime is huge.  You can easily capture the overtime per employee and per department, run reports, etc.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

This program made it easy for employees to pick up shifts. Able to post date and times of openings. Able to request an open shift in seconds.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

I have no complaints about this software.

Scheduling, filling empty shifts, communicating to staff when shifts opened

Electronic and paperless in some ways. Documented communication of available shifts to staff

Staff lack of response after time to text notifications etc

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

I like how easy it is to check updates to my schedule, change shifts, and see who is on my team for the day.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

It doesn’t allow you to look back at past weeks of work.

Clarity for team members which helps ensure all assigned employees come to work that day.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

I like the layout and the interface, which is very eye-catching and user-friendly. I see the interns and residents at the hospital use this all the time to schedule accurate shifts and easily change shifts between members. There is an iphone app as well that makes it very convenient to access when not at the hospital and need to check who is on schedule at that moment.

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

I don't like that nurses and nursing aides are not using this program. Maybe if this company advertises their product to our department, we can use it to schedule other allied health professionals. Currently the nurse manager does everything by hand (to practice calligraphy...) so this program would come in handy in keeping dates accurate and making it easy to see everyone's schedules and change shifts.

**Recommendations to others considering OnShift:**

This program is a good tool to use to schedule resident and intern shifts, but not for nurses or aides in our department. 

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I would like there to be more of a presence with OnShift in our department, extending toward nurses and nursing aides.

**What do you like best about OnShift?**

My favorite feature of onshift is that I can have templates for different departments at work and everyone's schedules are saved and stored. 

**What do you dislike about OnShift?**

I don't like that you can't block other managers from accessing templates and schedules. 

**Recommendations to others considering OnShift:**

Onshift is an amazing scheduling system. It is easy to use and explain. Their support team is wonderful and if they don't know the answer they have someone follow up with you right away. 

**What problems is OnShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to create block schedules for all of the team members at my building. I have realized how much easier it is for me to see where my gaps are and what I need to hire for.
