Motivosity Reviews & Product Details

I've been using Motivosity for three years, and I'm a big fan. It's easy to send appreciation, and the GIFs make it even more fun to personalize your message. I love that I can see the other messages of appreciation for people on my team, and the monthly reminder emails are helpful when I get busy. It's also really easy to spend my Motivosity dollars; I love the Visa card option that lets me use my spending dollars like a debit card. I'd definitely recommend Motivosity, hands down! I honestly can't think of anything I 'dislike' about Motivosity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The team engagement, celebration and camaraderie it fosters are so valuable! I like that we have the ability to tag, add GIFs and images, and share bucks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of my frequent frustrations is that we can't add auction bucks when scheduling a comment, for example, for someone's upcoming birthday. If I schedule, then I have to go back after the fact to add a buck, which requires posting a new (redundant) comment. Also, it's frustrating that I can see upcoming birthdays, but as soon as the date arrives, I either have to scroll endlessly in the feed, or search manually for a specific person, then click over to their "Appreciations Received" if I want to post for their birthday or anniversary. That increases the need for scheduling comments ahead, but makes it difficult to go back later and add an auction buck. I would love the ability to add a buck to a scheduled post (and have it subtracted from our current or future balance) and/or add a buck directly to a post or person without commenting. Every month I feel compelled to choose the colleague who has helped me the most and thank them. Without Motivosity, I wouldn't do it, because a 'thanks' in an email is said so often that it has lost its meaning. This way, you dedicate time to writing a few words of gratitude to a colleague every month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Perhaps, in addition to the gratitude board, I would add a second board to upload our things, photos of recipes, pets, recycling, doing sports, drawings, etc. To get to know each other better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motivosity makes it easy to recognize and appreciate colleagues for their contributions. The platform helps build a positive workplace culture, increases employee engagement, and encourages teamwork through meaningful recognition and rewards. It is user-friendly, interactive, and makes employees feel valued for their efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, my experience has been positive. One area for improvement would be providing more redemption options and additional customization features for recognition posts. Enhancing notifications and making it easier to track reward history could further improve the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps establish a strong, healthy standard of accountability across different departments, since peers can directly recognize and call out good work. The platform also naturally encourages people to stay aware of what their teammates are accomplishing, so extra effort or late-night pushes don’t just slip under the radar and go unnoticed. To be completely honest, I don’t have anything major to complain about, because it does exactly what it promises on the box. If I had to point to one drawback, the interface can sometimes feel a bit repetitive—especially if you’re checking the main timeline every single day and there aren’t many updates coming in from the smaller teams. What I like best about Motivosity is its mission of helping people be happier at work. I appreciate the company's people-first approach to employee recognition and its focus on building genuine connections, engagement, and a positive workplace culture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Rewards can feel limited depending on company budgets. Some employees feel the points they receive don't translate into especially meaningful rewards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Motivosity is that it creates space for genuine connection. I enjoy being able to meet virtually and share personal and work experiences with others. It helps strengthen relationships, encourages support, and makes the workplace feel more connected and welcoming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike about Motivosity is that not everyone uses it as a space to share work-related ideas or collaborate professionally. It seems to be used more often for personal sharing, which is valuable, but I think it could be even more beneficial if people also used it to exchange workplace ideas, resources, and insights. Motivosity makes employee recognition simple, timely, and meaningful. I especially appreciate the peer-to-peer recognition feature, which encourages team members to acknowledge each other's contributions and achievements. The platform is easy to use, promotes a positive workplace culture, and helps employees feel valued for their efforts. It also strengthens team engagement by making appreciation a regular part of the work environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Motivosity is generally easy to use and effective for employee recognition, some features can take time to fully adopt across teams. At times, notifications can feel excessive, and certain customization or reporting options could be more flexible. Additionally, the value of the platform depends on active participation from employees and managers, so engagement may vary between teams. Overall, these are minor drawbacks compared to the positive impact it has on workplace recognition and engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy user interface; fun to see others participate. LOVE the multiple options for payouts, including a cash card. Giving thanks, extra bucks, and reminders for work anniversaries or birthdays are great tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the transparency can feel weird. Everything seems to work properly though, and i would say the only improvement needed would be a way to earn "thanks points" instead of just the "bucks" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motivosity makes employee recognition simple, meaningful, and visible across the organization. The platform encourages a positive work culture by allowing team members to appreciate each other's contributions in real time. It is easy to use, engaging, and helps employees feel valued and connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, my experience has been very positive. One area for improvement would be adding more customization options for notifications and recognition feeds. Occasionally, finding older recognition posts can take some effort, but these are minor issues compared to the overall benefits of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
