## Mailbird Reviews
 ### 1. Clean Interface, Fast Performance, yet Lacks Print Preview

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I love Mailbird's clean interface, which makes navigating through my emails smooth and straightforward, especially when compared to the clutter of Outlook. The fast loading speed of Mailbird is another feature I deeply appreciate as it enhances my efficiency, allowing me to access messages quickly without any frustrating delays. The simplicity and minimal design help me easily view and manage my emails, contributing significantly to my daily productivity. Furthermore, I found the initial setup of Mailbird to be very easy, which made the transition from Outlook seamless and hassle-free. This ease of use and swift performance are the reasons why I am likely to recommend Mailbird to others.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I'm frustrated that when I want to print something using Mailbird, I can't have a preview of what pages are going to be printed, unlike Outlook. This lack of a print preview feature makes it difficult for me to know how many pages I would have to print.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Mailbird's clean interface and fast loading help me see messages easily, unlike Outlook.

 ### 2. Fastest and cleanest IMAP mail client I've tried

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

1) The clean, simple and modern interface
2) The ability to customise the theme colour, default fonts, etc
3) When I reply to emails, the quick reply feature hides my signature
4) Instant results when using the search function
5) Pop-up notification on my desktop when I receive new emails
6) During my first use, the software was able to import all of my previous emails within just a few minutes

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The third-party apps integration can be slow and buggy at times, that I sometimes have to turn off this feature entirely

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My previous mail client was too cluttered, with an outdated interface. The search feature was also slow, and the results were not thorough/accurate. Mailbird solved all of these with its one-of-a-kind interface that is easy and relaxing to the eye, and the search results were instant, thorough and accurate.

 ### 3. Sneaky and Greedy using dark patterns

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishi R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Decent functionality with the ability to add multiple mail boxes.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I've been a lifelong user of Mailbird and honestly have loved the experience. But their greed and tone deaf nature is getting on my nerves!

I purchased Mailbird 2.0 lifetime version which they clearly said would qualify me for any future update, without any additional riders mentioned such as it would only

But now I realise to use the full version of Mailbird 3.0 I need to pay again! They are sneakily using the argument that the lifetime updates were only valid for Mailbird 2.x. I mean how crafty do you need to get!

To the founders reading this review - this is not how you become a successful tech company! You become that winning the trust and sympathy of your loyal users!

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing multiple email inboxes.

 ### 4. Mailbird is better than other similar apps on Windows

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vicar A. | Vicar of Anglican Church, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird connects very conveniently with Google domain. No need to set up manually for emails.
Synchronizes the calendar and gives access to Whatsapp and other apps.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The Mail format needs a little more improvement like, after reading an incoming mail, to go for the next unopened one with arrows forward and backward needs to integrated.
The attachment slot if it appears on top below the subject, it would be convenient to open instead of scrolling down and then find an attachment.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less time to setting it up. i have not encountered any crashing of the app like I encountered with MS Office and Google. Gmail works conveniently.

 ### 5. Looks nice but major flaws

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike L. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's very easy to set up and use. Sets up in minutes, seamlessly

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

There are numerous serious flaws. Printing from Mailbird is a nightmare. You never know what you are going to get. No preview window. Ambiguous "Print Conversation or Discussion" seems to do exactly the opposite and wastes paper. You can set it as default email but it won't print from other programs like QuickBooks. You first have to save your report as a pdf then attach the pdf to a new email. Templates are tedious to set up. The drafts folder fills up constantly with blank emails. I moved to Thunderbird which deals with all these issues much better but takes ages to set up features from add-ons. That will be another review. Mailbird isn't ready for prime time and they definitely should not be charging for it, I got tons of spam while using.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was looking for an alternate for Outlook which became so corrupt after a time due to lack of built-in Unified Inbox.

 ### 6. Love Mailbird!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaeli B. | Director, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I can have many more email addresses than my last application (Outlook limited to 10)

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Nothing at the moment, it seems to have everything covered

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love the built in read receipts, saves having to run them through the CRM
I use many email addresses on a daily basis and I can now monitor them all through the unified inbox

 ### 7. Spellcheck has been broken for two weeks

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It has a very good UX/UI and is fairly intutive. Migrating from Postbox was comparatively easy.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Migration didn't recognize custom signatures and mapping alias addresses is far more complicated than it should be but the most frustrating aspect is the spellchecker broke a week after paying for the highest level plan level. Their customer service on the issue has been abysmal with as many as NINE DAYS between responses and at the time this is being written, they only just acknowledged the issue is system wide and they have no ETA on a fix.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does a good job at managing multiple email accounts through a single client and integrates with Google apps.

 ### 8. A fine all in one mailclient which make you life easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan D. | Freelance Software Developer/Designer/BA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The most important reason I chose for Mailbird is that this emailclient can easily be linked to a lot of apps which make life easier. The former emailclient made it hard to link with certain apps on my mobile. Mailbird solved that in a few simple steps, so I can manage all my tasks from all my devices.
Besides that I also like that I can open most favourite apps from within Mailbird, like whatsapp, twitter, telegram, teams, etc.

There customer support is really helpfull and very fast. They think with you and try to find a solution and otherwise come up with work around.

In short, a good mail client and much more which is my default mailclient which I use every day.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

They have to find a solution for keeping separate incoming mail and outgoing mail which is an answer on an incoming mail. Now when I answer an incoming mail, the complete mail thread is moved to the send folder including the original incoming mail.
But they are working on right on this moment so I hope it will be solved soon.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved the problem that I can link all my favourite apps on different devices

 ### 9. Great looking interface - shady sales and business practices

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Interface is lovely, simple and slick (when it works properly)

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

They pulled the rug on "lifetime" licences, they prioritise shiny but unwanted features over fixing bugs. Pricing forces most people onto the most expensive package with features many will never use or want.

I used mailchimp 2 on a lifetime license for several years and really enjoyed how simple it was for manging multiple email accounts. They then started putting more resources into the (in my opinion) pointelss apps such as AI and social intergrations etc and in doing this let the core email functionality slip. There is a long serving but that makes emails not load properly in the inbox that has made the software useless for me.

The final insult came whey they released 3.0, rug pulled the lifetime licenses. I even forgave them for this and purchased 3.0 in the hope they had also fixed the bug and I could start using the lovely interface again but despite ripping off those who paid for 2.0 and cranking the prices up for 3.0 they still hadn't even fixed this bug again prioritising new features over fixes.

On top of that their sales practices seem shady, they have had a "24 hour" sale on 3.0 licenses live for at least 3 months trying to trick people into purchasing before the timer runs out (they just reset the timer every evening).

Don't believe their inevitable reply to this review that 2.x is still supported, this has been lip service only since 3 was released.

Such as shame as the interface is 2nd to none but I refuse to deal with a company that screws its early users like this and has such shady tactics to increase sales.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted a nice simple mail client with a clean interface.

 ### 10. Not a Mailbird Lifetime Deal - Be Aware!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elias L. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

As a user of Mailbird 2, I was genuinely excited when I purchased the lifetime deal. The promise of a one-time payment for continuous access to their excellent app was a deal I couldn't pass up. Mailbird 2 has been my reliable companion, streamlining my email management with its intuitive interface and robust features.

However, my enthusiasm has been dampened by the latest development. The introduction of Mailbird 3, undeniably a more advanced and promising version, has come with an unexpected twist. The lifetime deal that I had happily invested in for Mailbird 2 no longer applies to this new upgrade.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Having to pay again for Mailbird 3 feels like a betrayal of the trust I put in the "lifetime" deal for Mailbird 2. The term "lifetime" implies a long-term commitment, which I assumed would include subsequent versions of the software. However, it appears this is not the case.

While I understand that the development and maintenance of new software require resources and hence, costs, it's disappointing to face another payment request after purchasing what was marketed as a lifetime deal.

In conclusion, although I appreciate the improvements in Mailbird 3, the unanticipated additional cost has left me feeling disappointed and disillusioned with the brand. I hope Mailbird addresses this issue and considers its loyal customers who invested in the previous lifetime deal.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Official Response from Oliver Jackson:**

> Hi Elias,

We're naturally sorry to hear of your disappointment - the Personal Pay Once license which you originally purchased will continue to work without issue on Mailbird 2.x.

Although the previous version of Mailbird has now reached the end of its lifecycle, we are committed to honoring any purchase of our product prior to the release of Mailbird 3.0.

Anyone who chooses to purchase a Mailbird 3.0 license now has the option to include an add-on which guarantees that they will continue to receive any and all new features or improvements.

We hope that this information proves helpful, and wish to apologize once more for any disappointment caused.

 ### 11. Mailbird is scamming users and are not standing by the licenses they have sold.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

As many other users I purchased a lifetime business license with Mailbird a few years ago. The license was sold as a full lifetime license, valid for the lifetime of the user and including all future versions and updates. Mailbird themselves have confirmed several times that the lifetime license was for all future versions and updates.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Now since they have released Mailbird version 3, they have decided that all the users who have purchased lifetime license have to pay again for a new license. Even though the lifetime license they sold was for all future versions, users still have to buy another "lifetime" license to be able to update to version 3.

You only have to look at facebook, Reddit, Twitter etc. to see that many people have been scammed by this company and by their lies. The Mailbird program is fine, but there are many other programs that are just as good or better that actaully care about their customers and is not run by scammers. Just be warned if you buy a lifetime license for Mailbird version 3, you will have to continue to buy new license for every update no matter what they are claiming now.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing

 ### 12. Long time user of Mailbird

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen W. | Publisher/writer/owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I have been using Mailbird, paid version, for several years. I am very happy with them. I like that I can open any one of a variety of social media, my calendar, or other helpful apps such as Trello which I use a lot. Any time I have an issue I can get a quick answer from support personnel. I also like the scheduling option.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The only thing I wish they would correct is when I add photos to my mail and need them resized, I can only add one at a time.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have all my email accounts together and usually Facebook, my calendar, or Trello open in one window.

 ### 13. Lifetime does NOT mean lifetime to this company

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason G. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Support were pleasant and very responsive, unified inbox was a cool feature that worked well.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

A couple of years ago I paid for lifetime business subscription (version 2.0). Then, when Mailbird 3.0 was out they did nothing to inform me.
Over the time with version 2.x I have had several email support tickets, I have never been happy with the quality of this software and right now (Version 2.x) every send I do hangs.

To then ask me to pay nearly $200 to upgrade to Version 3 is absolutely amazing in my opinion.

They even informed me:
"Besides critical updates and security fixes, there will be no further improvements to Mailbird 2.0 - eventually both of these will also cease to be provided by the end of 2024. After this date, we cannot guarantee that Mailbird 2.x will continue to work properly, since no maintenance will be carried out on it.

Moving back to Mailbird 3.0, in order to receive future product updates we strongly recommend opting in for our Lifetime Updates add-on. This will ensure that your copy of Mailbird 3.0 continues to receive all subsequent updates that we will release over the following 12 months. If you choose not to purchase this optional add-on, any subsequent updates to Mailbird 3.0 will not be applied to your copy. Please note that Lifetime Updates cannot be purchased separately at a later stage."

So the buggy client I paid for will cease to work properly and as stated above they want me to pay a considerable amount of money to move to their new client.

I try not to be negative but I am really disappointed, even angry frankly with how I have been treated by this company's decision to not upgrade me.

I asked them, explicitly, what the terms were under which I purchased 'Lifetime' and they did not give me that information...

So, regardless of how wonderful version 3.x is, and yes their support is fast and responsive, you will see a number of angry 1 star reviews here for the reason given above.

For those seeking an alternative, I tried Canary Mail (looked amazing, crashed in Win 10) and Blue Mail (also looked amazing and wouldn't connect to my main email...)

Finally went with Vivaldi mail (free!!!!). Took some time and effort to get the accounts to connect, but once they did, love it.... has several cool features I suggest you check out....

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

email!

 ### 14. SHADY Buisness practices!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin R. | PCA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It USED to be great. I could have all my emails from different accounts in one place. And it was fairly user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I bought a LIFETIME license and then they upgraded to Mailbird 3 and said the Lifetime was only for 2. SHADY. The entire point of a lifetime license is to use it for the lifetime of the product no matter how many iterations they go through. If they didnt make enough to cover costs that should be on them not the consumer.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From what Ive gathered they're not solving the problems at all. Just saying you're out of luck sucker!

**Official Response from Oliver Jackson:**

> Hi Dustin,

We're naturally sorry to hear of your disappointment - the Business Pay Once license which you originally purchased will continue to work without issue on Mailbird 2.x.

Although the previous version of Mailbird has now reached the end of its lifecycle, we are committed to honoring any purchase of a Mailbird 2.x license since we are not terminating the previous version of our product.

Anyone who chooses to purchase a Mailbird 3.0 license now has the option to include an add-on which guarantees that they will continue to receive any and all new features or improvements.

We hope that this information proves helpful, and wish to apologize once more for any disappointment caused.

 ### 15. Works great except with Microsoft Account

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike P. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Best email client available for every IMAP server other than Microsoft

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Loses connection to Microsoft accounts daily.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Would be the best email client out there if they could connect to Microsoft (Outlook/Hotmail) accoutns without issue.

 ### 16. Charging for updates when you have a LIFETIME license.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Not a bad product but there are others out there that are just as good.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Their support is unresponsive and slow. LIFETIME users are excluded from any updates unless they agree to purchase a new lifetime license for version 3.0. They SAY you can keep 2.0 but they are discontinuing support and will no longer provide any updates. Also, tried to download 2.0 on my computer and it automatically installed 3.0. I'm done with them.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not solving any problems so no real benefit.

 ### 17. A reliable program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill D. | Offline Local Business Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is a reliable email client. I find it easy to use my many Gmail accounts to have them all in one unified space. It's fast and has a host of features like integrating Evernote and facebook. I use these man times daily and having them integrated is a productivity booster. Customer support is prompt aned very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I really don't have a dislike at this time.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird helps me keep track of my many Gmail accounts in one place. It allows me to use Evernote and Facebook more effectively.

 ### 18. Clean, organized and without bugs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The possibility to have all emails in one app, without the bugs in outlook in gmail integration.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Should have more apps to automate de inbox.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To have a better inbox organization.

 ### 19. The best email program on a budget

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is user friendly and low cost with many advanced features. It was very quick to set up with my IMAP, POP3, and Gmail mailboxes. It is less complex than the desktop Outlook which I used to use. Outlook has many more features, but Mailbird has everything I need.

I like how I can see individual inboxes or combned inboxes.

From the Mailbird interface I can access other apps including Google calendar, Trello and ChatGPT

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Occasionally Mailbird crashes for no apparent reason. Sometimes the app is slow to startup.
Search is fast, but when emails are found in searches it is not clear whicih folder they are located in.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wanted an uncluttered, easy to use email client that is not bloated with advanced features that I don't need.
Had problems syncing Outlook calendar with my Android phone calendar. Mailbrd solves this by integrating Google Calendar into its interface.

 ### 20. Everyday mail app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brady P. | Lifestyle Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's probably the fastest way I've found to process emails bar none. I connected an account from one of my team that they were supposed to manage and it had 1000's of unread emails. I got through all the junk in about 4 hours and the rest of the day to repond to the still relevant ones. This is the only system I've found that works this fast for me

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Weirdly, too many integrations. I like that they have them, but I found for me that using the extra stuff was harder than opening native apps. Also, I have an issue about once a quarter where it stops sending emails when I reply to them and I have to remove the profile and re-add it.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email processing in one place so I don't have to log into multiple systems and it makes processing email lightning fast. I often reply from other systems because of the issue I have with emails not sending but it's so fast for processing that nothing else makes sense.

 ### 21. Lifetime means the version lifetime, and not your lifetime

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Easy to setup, Google Workspace integration and HTML signatur

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Buying a lifetime licens, when Mailbird was version 2. When a mail that that version 3 is coming, but your licens dont cover new versions.
Thats no big deal, but now they remove features from version 2, and apprently bug and security fixes are also going away. From a "lifetime" licens. I brought a new licens, to avoid moving software, but that might be nessesary if it happens again.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a desktop client for my users, that support HTML signatur and Google Workspace implementation

 ### 22. Decent substitute to Thunderbird but still clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Get all mail accounts in the same folder

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I have a paid version and cannot create templates for repeatedly used emails. You cannot search for an email across multiple accounts, you have to search each email account and folder one at a time. There is no "undo" button. In these ways, it is inferior to Thunderbird.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serves as a single collectio point for all my email accounts

 ### 23. Illegal, immoral, and unethical - The Mailbird Story

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

In a previous world, before Mailbird torched its reputation for the sake of a dollar, the client was pretty useful and I enjoyed using it.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The forced-click of their ads in a client I paid for, the reneging on the lifetime subscription that I paid for, the snarky tone of their customer service, the pushing of extras like mail tracking as an upsell, the lack of respect for their customers, their shady business practices.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird has solved no problems and stimulated a deep sense of regret in me for having ever given them my money.

 ### 24. Fantastic nerly like thurderbird UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raja Nagendra K. | Chief Technology Officer - #CleanCode Uplift, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Like thurderbird like UI. It is quite light too

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Right click on Trash folder should have option for empty trash

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the calender interface, however this is not synced with google calender not sure why

 ### 25. Used to be good

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I have been using Mailbird for a few years now. It used to be a good software.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

After the last update it randomly crashes, especially when trying to open a web link. It says reported to support, but nothing happens.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can read my emails. Unless it crashes.

 ### 26. Easy to use and modern email client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José Miguel V. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

After trying many mail clients for Windows, I finish looking when I start with Mailbird. One of the things I don`t like about almost all the big players in email clients for Windows is the UI and useless features. With Mailbird, you have modern features in an easy-to-use interface.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The only problem I have with Mailbird is about the resources the software may use if you use to install more than 4 or 5 five apps. I love the app feature (the integrations are great, almost all the apps are the ones you use on a daily basis), but is a resource eater.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you are bored with Outlook, Thunderbird, or similar, give it a try to Mailbird, you can use the free tier and get an idea of what you get.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is the only email client I use on all my Windows machines, so is the solution for my email handling since 2019. Their support is excellent, and they are constantly working on new features.

 ### 27. I love how I can access all my different inboxes and organize them

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maryse G. | Operational Security Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I love that I can access all my different business inboxes in one place and how my emails quickly synchronize in Mailbird. I love the possibility of connecting in Mailbird with other applications such as FB messenger, Instagram, Microsoft To-Do app, Todoist, Evernote, Google calendar and many more. It allows accessing in one hub the important communication information needed to manage my business communications. We can set different notifications with different chimes for different inboxes which is also practical.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I wish they also had a mobile version of Mailbird, but maybe eventually it will also be available. I also would appreciate identifying the different mailboxes with words, not only an icon. However, we can hover our cursor over the icon to see what email address it refers to.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate not having to connect at numerous places to keep track of all incoming messages and emails. I can open Mailbird, and in a quick overview, I have a clear idea of what new messages came in. I gain in productivity and time!

 ### 28. Terrible customer service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I didn't like the software at all. It was glitchy and not worth it.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I dislike that it marked emails as "read" that weren't so I missed emails all the time. I also hate how they charged me for a whole new year when I stopped using the software within a few months. I asked for a refund and they promised one that they never provided, then completely ignored every email from me. Terrible customer service. If you are planning to buy this software, don't expect any support or help. When I wrote to them about the glitches they ignored every single request for help. Terrible company.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Do not get involved with this company. Just use Gsuite. Do not even try with Mailbird. They have your credit card and they will charge it and you will not see that money back. They do not provide any technical support or help at all.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved nothing with this terrible software. I wish I had never found this company. They are deceptive and shady.

 ### 29. Great solution for combining multiple mailboxes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos C. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It helps me unify up to 6 mailboxes successfully so I don't have to switch back and forth from each one to view new mail. I use this as my desktop emailing software but still use Outlook for mobile as Outlook unifies mailboxes only on mobile. Extremely affordable.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Cannot have more than one signature for each mailbox. To make sure all mailboxes sync 24/7 I have to close and reopen every day as it's easy to overlook. In addition, I wish there was a way to get a loader and more of a "push notification" for calendar invites as they're VERY easy to overlook.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am unifying multiple mailboxes so I can see what's new fast instead of possibly missing mail by switching back and forth.

 ### 30. Mailbird as a Company Lacks Integrity

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam G. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

How they reworded their agreement with their customers changing the name of a new version of the product to rip people off

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The lack of integrity of Mailbird management thinking they can side step their obligations to existing customers and expect them to pay more money to them?

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved all my problems by changing to Thunderbird

 ### 31. Easy to use and powerful mail client

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 美体内衣连锁品牌 . | Director Of Marketing And Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

*all inboxes in one place
*filter and organize for a specific sender across emails is fast and easy with one click
*use apps like calendar and google drive within the app
*quick menu over the subject line is perfect for quick action

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

* lack of mobile app
* Not able to share the email with others
* takes a huge portion of my computer memory, usually around 750mb
* Do not have the ability to group email accounts like Microsoft mail
* Do not have a group for priority/promotion/updates like gmail.com
* lack of integration with todo list and calendar app

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a perfect tool for those who have multiple email accounts; Mailbird is significantly improving my productivity and removes my anxiety from busy emails.

 ### 32. The best mailclient I have used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bharath V. | Head - Sales & Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The user interface. Its so simple & beautiful.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I had disliked that there were a few features missing when I started using mailbird almost 7-8 years ago, but its great that you have got them now.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing my email better.
Communicating in an efficient way.

 ### 33. Excellent Googlemail client

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wylie H. | Field Ecologist

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Reliable integration with my work Google Mail account with additonal support for thrid-party apps like WhatsApp coupled to excellent support services.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I don't find the positioning of the menus intuitive.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with my Googlemail account. I prefer to use client based e-mail rather than a browser.

 ### 34. One of the best email clients for Windows!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gjergji K. | IT Administrator / Highschool ICT teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I like the design and its ability to integrate with other apps, having them within the same app window, such as Whatsapp, Google Apps, and lots more.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

When resizing panels, some icons will hide, and also it does not offer inline filtering such as: by date, by the sender - instead, it offers a search filter that is fast.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have increased productivity, because it keeps you focused! Also, the integration with other apps is very convenient.

 ### 35. Good productive business tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard P. | Senior Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Integration of the calendar into the mail client

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Sorting and filtering needs to be improved; if the calendar could show a weekly / monthly view, would help; integration with icloud calendars should be developed and implemented ASAP

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

There is a bit of a learning curve associated with this product, however works relatively well once installed and configured.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At times, the synchronization with my Google doesn't work - the events don't show up in mailbird or are in the wrong timeslot. Very infrequent and I haven't been able to determine why.

 ### 36. Great for email and calendars, but app integrations are a mess

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ted G. | Assistant Professor

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It is a very good Gmail client -- fast and smooth -- and it does work very well with the various add-ons. I tried doing all of this stuff with Outlook, but it was so slow and clunky as to be useless. Mailbird does all of the email and calendar work flawlessly.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The Slack integration doesn't work at all. After I sign in, I just get a blank screen. I've tried this on three different computers, and just now. I tried it after a fresh install of Windows. Tech support made one suggestion 10 days ago and have since ignored me and the problem. Also, their Chrome addon is so out of date many sites (like Slack.com) do not work. That's inexcusable.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can managed multiple email accounts and calendars very easily.

 ### 37. Elegant, efficient mail client, excellent for those with multiple accounts.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

MailBird is excellent at handling multiple email accounts, handling threads efficiently. It makes it easy to keep inboxes clean (often empty!)
It is also faster than Outlook.
Tracking (seeing who has opened an email) is excellent
Absolutely LOVE snooze (where the email is hidden until a specified time, then appears at the top of the Inbox) and delayed/scheduled sending!
Integration of commonly, but lightly, used apps is a very convenient feature.
The support function is great... if you can't find a specific answer (which happens often, given this are a young and growing app), you can get response from a human fairly easily without having to wait too long.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

It doesn't easily modify the dictionary, meaning that (since I use Canadian spelling with many special terms-of-the-art) I have many words flagged as mis-spelled.
The search function could be better... I often find it difficult to search for past emails which I know contain a particular word.
I wish there were an Android client (I believe it's in the works!)

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am getting a LOT closer to Inbox Zero than with past email clients
I miss fewer emails in the mess of a cluttered inbox

 ### 38. Bringing together email, calendar and virtual drives into one application has really helped me.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blaine J. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I met the fact that there are several options, including access to virtual drives within the software.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

There was a time that accessing my Google calendar was not supported. That is now resolved.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple email accounts and calendars can now be accessed in one place.

 ### 39. Great all in one mail client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathanial B. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird makes it easy to manage my multiple inboxes, I use it for my personal and work accounts (I have 2 work emails) and I can always easily see where mail is coming to and from. The additional apps are sometimes helpful but I usually end up just going to my web browser anyway, probably more useful on a smaller screen. Also their search is fantastic, you can query for particular items quite easily (like emails with attachments) and I am always able to find what I'm searching for, unlike other mail clients I have used.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Wish that categories from outlook could appear in mailbird as we use this feature a lot at work and would love to see it sync.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a personal email, 2 work emails and a student email, this allows me to stay logged in and up to date with emails across all of them.

 ### 40. I love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan N. | Founder & Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The simplicity and the integration with the social media platforms.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Nothing. there is nothing I can specify that I don't like.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps me organized, my calendar, my email, and all my notifications in one place.

 ### 41. Fine until you need tech support

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I like integration with productivity apps. Asana, Microsoft To do etc and that I don't have to leave the app to check in on my business social media accounts.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Needing tech support. If you do you are practically on your own. Have been unable to confidently send emails since March 12, 2020 and its April 2, 2021. Sometimes they send many times they end up in draft or the outbox and you THINK your business associate has heard from you. Can you imagine the problem? an email app were the main problem is you can't send email and you can't get tech support do fix it?

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Its feature rich, visually appealing but if you can't reliably SEND and email which is THE most important feature and if you can't get proper tech support after a year of trying to resolve it then no I can't recommend it.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing productivity and integration with social media apps

 ### 42. Amazing e-mail client.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Streamlined design, ease of use, affordable

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I wish I didn't have to pay extra for "read receipts".

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is my go-to email solution.

 ### 43. Good, but basically functionality missing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will H. | Web Designer/Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I really like the ability to know of a recipient of the email actually got the email. This is the feature that sold the email client to me. The simplicity of being able to backup the email was another major factor in me moving to mailbird. It's as simple as copying and pasting.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

A lot actually. I created rules for emails to be moved to particular folders on receiving them, just for organising things. Unfortunately this is where Mailbird fails badly. If you have multiple accounts and multiple rules you run into a pretty marjor issue. On receipt of the email, the email is moved to its particular folder. Unfortunately there is no ability to see if email has arrived e.g. a number beside the actual email accounts address to signify there is actually email there. This can cause you to completely miss important email as you are not aware that email has landed. Why a simple number cannot be put beside the actual email address is beyond me and you would have imagined that this would be a pretty basic requirement.

I also disliked the Apps the majority of which are pretty basic and if you are a professional you wouldn't really use them.

Another issue is the tracking which basically sold this email client to me in the first place. SOmetimes the tracking system cannot be reached which means you cant send email. I can imagine how teses things can happen but what I can't understand is why we cant be prompted to disable it. You are left to yourself to diagnose why you cant send emails which if you aren't the most technical person you could be in trouble.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this email client. Apart from the email tracking it has issues. I have since moved back to Outlook because of the 'Cons' I mentioned above.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the ability to say; 'yes you did receive this email'

 ### 44. Great overall concept but missing standard features

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

- Easy to manage attachments and images
- Clean design and appearance
- Easy to configure
- Kudos for Zero Inbox

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

- Cannot select sort criteria such as subject, nor select ascending vs descending sort
- Keyboard shortcuts such as 'f' do not work
- Cannot use a key (like space bar) to scroll down within the current message without selecting it with the mouse first.
- The right or left arrow should expand or collapse a folder, but instead one must use the mouse to do that.
- The narrow scroll bar (popular now) is harder to select. Allow user to configure a wider old-style scroll bar.
- Allow keystroke alternatives to the mouse. They are faster, easier, and better for those with carpal tunnel or other such issues.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster and more stable than Thunderbird.

 ### 45. So bad it reminds me of 90s

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manzar B. | Adjunct Faculty - Lahore School of Economics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

email tracking. That is what was important for me

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The email can take up to 10 minutes to send with no attachments and just basic text. I sent a screenshot to mailbird team but did not hear from them. There is no efficient way of tagging emails. It reminds me of times when email was new. The support service is pathetic, to say the least. Not recommended

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

just email tracking.

 ### 46. EMAIL, SIMPLIFIED.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph (JD) M. | Workforce Planning Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I like the ability to have all of my accounts listed and also have a unified account.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I don't like that if one of the accounts is not working it doesn't seem to sync the others.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have many emails and mailbird makes it easy to come to one location and get all of my email categorized and filtered out how I like it.

 ### 47. Windows 10 mail incompatibility FIX

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird has allowed me to work with all my email accounts, and my calendar, on my Windows 10 machine. This had proven to be impossible with my (albeit) ancient AOL account.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I don't love the interface, but this could just be a period of familiarization. I also think it is a bit pricey - but I got a first-year discount.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows 10 has issues. Mailbird fixed the one that bothered me the most.

 ### 48. An Incredible Program that never crashed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Constance S. | Manager of Agent Experience, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I loved the workflow, the ease, the user interface.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

the cost, I wanted more features, more social media options like Parler, Gab, MeWe, Telegram

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really didn't have any business problems, as a matter of fact, I had none whatsoever.

 ### 49. Great email client

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo P. | Sr React Frontend Developer for Rand.com - Imageit, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's a remarkable email client, with lots of tools and features that will make your life easier.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Can't access my Office 365 email on this license level.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing my email access

 ### 50. The Lifesaver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miljenko B. | Chief Executive Officer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is a great Windows app for mailing. It works without a hiccup and it doesn't eat resources. I've integrated Mailbird with 10+ email addresses and it really makes life easier.

I can recommend it to everyone. It's dirt cheap, I'm surprised it's a one-time purchase. The founder is making updates every month or two. This is a fully-featured app and mailbox.

Go get it!

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

There isn't anything bad I can tell about this app. It's brilliant!

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All in one desktop app for receiving and sending emails from different email addresses.
