## Ghost Reviews
  ### 1. Good software for blogging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hien L. | Managing Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I like that Ghost is easy to use. There are almost no plugins to install or maintain as most features I use are built into the core software. Installing Ghost was a breeze. I use an SAAS cloud platform called Cloudron which helps tremendously with installing, backing up and updating to the latest Ghost version. I have Ghost run daily for the visitors on my blog. Integrating with Stripe for the subscription feature was also super easy thanks to the Ghost team. I am self-hosting Ghost, but have received a ton of support from the folks over at their community forum. Got most of my questions answered and even some features explained and helped out, and some other great advice. Couldn't have set things up or sorted it out successfully without them. I like writing in the Ghost editor interface. Simple and hassle-free. Ghost is very actively developed and well-maintained. They listen to the users to an acceptable degree, and I think there'll be more features you'll love in future.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

Not that I can think of right now honestly.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ghost makes publishing content easy. It saves me time as I don't have to maintain a lot of plugins. Instead, I can just focus on writing. Although they do offer paid Ghost (Pro) plans to make it sustainable for the team, self-hosting the software is actually free of charge. They don't take a cut even from the subscription payments. This is light on budget and sustainable to scale up for publishers.

  ### 2. Clean and powerful blogging platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas V. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Very clean editor to write posts with lots of embeddable content blocks. Powerful Admin panel with a clean overview of scheduled, published and drafted articles that work well across both mobile and web browsers.

The theme gallery, both free and paid, includes some really clean templates

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

There is no mobile app, and there is no built-in analytics on page visits or user behaviour since it's focussed on email.

The themes look great but I'd love to be able to embed content on every page like a text-blog, embedded video or image.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a low-maintenance environment to write a blog and gather a following of readers both paid and free. The fact that I only need to worry about writing and not about uptime, updates or performance is awesome.

  ### 3. All-in-One Solution for Your Business Blogs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is the perfect solution for businesses looking to create a professional blog. With easy setup and maintenance, great uptime, and lightning-fast speed, Ghost provides a seamless experience for its users. The editor is clean and easy to use, with lots of embeddable content blocks, while the admin panel provides a clean overview of scheduled, published, and drafted articles. With a range of free and paid themes available, Ghost is the perfect choice for any business looking to create a powerful, professional blog.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

The only thing I don't like about Ghost is you've to remember keyboard shortcuts for formatting your blog. There aren't many direct options to add bullets, highlights and other formatting stuff.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a CMS and we found Ghost to be a perfect fit for it. We've been using it since the day we started adding blogs on our site.

  ### 4. CMS to have your blog quickly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel A. | Ingeniero de soporte, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

What I like most about Ghost is the ease with which you can create a blog and a membership site to monetize what you write without implementation complications.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

What I like least about Ghost is that it is oriented towards an English-speaking audience. It is possible to translate the theme, but the portal part and the email templates cannot be easily translated.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve the problem of implementing a personal blog that I started recently. With clients and friends, I have implemented other websites with Ghost, the latter for thematic blogs.

  ### 5. Ghost is great, though wasn't quite the fit for our needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew E. | Principal Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

The UI was pretty straightforward, as was the ability to build pages. As a headless CMS, it worked reasonably well. Pricing was reasonable too. Of the headless CMS options, I liked Ghost the best.

The headless CMS API integration was pretty straightforward (I used Eleventy.js).

It appears that Ghost as a site-builder also works pretty well, particularly for people who want something relatively stock instead of highly customized.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

We used Ghost as the headless CMS back-end to a static site. I wanted the ability to create more types of custom content (my client had testimonials and a number of different types of articles, as well as staff bios) with fixed fields. We were able to sort of hack our way through it with clever use of tags, but it wasn't ideal.

This is not Ghost-specific, but in general with headless CMSs on a static site there's a disjunct between editing content and building the site itself -- you make the content changes in the CMS, and then you wait for the static site to rebuild, then go check your work. It's not awful, but it's an extra step.

There was also some confusion on the part of my client where they expected to be able to edit the entire static site, rather than just the small number of identified dynamic pieces (testimonials, types of articles, etc.). This was a training issue, but the fact that the UI existed (and couldn't be turned off that I saw) meant it was a source of perpetual confusion.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we used Ghost, it would've given us a little interface with which to create articles which would then be added to the site. My client had much more specific needs (had I been on the project much earlier in the design process I would've argued for removing complexity from the design, which I think would've benefited the project significantly).

I would use Ghost again, particularly if there were a team of content-writers who are churning out blog posts or articles and who wanted to be able to do that work largely autonomously (especially if they already had a really clear styleguide). The content editor is slick.

I would also suggest Ghost as an alternative to Wordpress for folks who just need a place to put their site and stream of articles, especially if they're not interested in managing their own hosting.

  ### 6. Best Open Source Platform, Blogging and Paid Newsletter subscriptions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajay R. | Content Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost CMS is the best alternative for WordPress. I love their modern UI. Admin dashboard is very minimal and easy to manage. Ideal for news or blogging site. Ghost also gives some popular services integration like Zapier, Slack, AMP, Disqus, Google Analytics, Typeform, Buffer, Codepen, Github, Paypal, Stripe, and more.
Installation and configuration are very minimal and very simple to use and manage users. I love Ghost CMS features.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

In my opinion, there is nothing to dislike, because I used blogging and I enjoy it. Perhaps, If someone using a WordPress alternative and want to use WordPress, then It not completely possible. You won't find any plugins for Ghost CMS like WordPress has its own directory, Ghost CMS has custom integration features but for that, you have built your own integration, and you will need coding to knowledge.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

Just want to do clean blogging, without focusing on design, then Ghost CMS is for you. Ghost CMS comes with Modern UI designs.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Ghost CMS for our blog, we don't have to customize from scratch, and Ghost is a perfectly built Blogging platform, Managing Newsletter is way more easier than other CMS platform.

  ### 7. Ghost Starter | The good & the mediocre

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil G. | Assistant Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I want to make sure readers know I'm reviewing the BASIC Ghost Pro package ($9/month). I love the blogging interface it makes writing a wonderful distraction-free experience. The Stripe integration for email subscriptions is also great. IN fact, the entire user management system is intuitive, very easy to use, and has made managing my email newsletter subscription list very easy.

I'm comparing this to my experience using WordPress, which is far more cumbersome. (It seems to me that WordPress has turned into an everything and the kitchen skin content management system. Ghost is still a very simplistic way to blog and manage ONE email newsletter.)

In short: If you want to use Ghost as a blog & email newsletter I'd say the basic plan is well worth the money.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

At the basic level, you don't have search as a feature! I've emailed Ghost and asked why a feature as basic as search is not included in the basic product and they told me that to get that feature I'd ned to upgrade to the next level which is $25/month. Without search it makes it difficult to find ol blog posts/emails that have been sent out, which I think is a real pain.

Another thing I dislike is that you only have three subscription levels: Paid subscribers can pay either a monthly fee, or a yearly (annual) fee. Then there are free subscriptions. I think it would be nice if Ghost offered the possibility to sell a lifetime subscription and/or quarterly subscriptions.

Finally, I send out three different email newsletters. I was hoping I could allow users to choose which ones they'd like to subscribe to through Ghost, but that is not possible. (I currently use Ghost for my main email newsletter, and Convert Kit for the remaining two.) I wish Ghost offered the ability to run more than one email newsletter via their product.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

If you want to use Ghost as a simple basic blog (without searchability) then the basic product is a good buy. However, if you want/need a search featurethen it is simply not worth it.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I'm solving is having one main site that people can use to see most of the content I create. Ghost has provided a good product that has allowed me to build a good "one-stop" place on the web for people to find and sample my content. Additionally, it is a great archive for the things I produce. (As I said above, if it had the search feature it would be 98% perfect!)

The benefits I've seen using Ghost Pro (Basic) are increased productivity, and no time spent tooling around with upgrades.

  ### 8. Good Open Source All in one Blogging Tool.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I like that it is open source and has both versions available where you can self-host or just sign up for their cloud service. Also, I like that it is an all in one solution for bloggers which comprises a publishing platform, a newsletter management system and many other essential integrations required for a modern blog.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

There isn't much to dislike about this tool. But I still believe that if you want advanced customizations you need to get a bit technical which isn't the case for WordPress. Also, there are a lot of important integrations which are available but those can't be compared to the millions of plugins available for Wordpress.org users.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very lightweight blogging platform which is available out of the box with essential integrations which are required to run a blog or a website these days. Backend is very quick and responsive too.

  ### 9. The worst platform if you're switching from Wordpress

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

The editor is clean but again, not if you are writing blogs with a lot of content on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

Absolutely no plugins, no developers working on making it better. I've used Wordpress before and how much would I pay to just go back to it. The plugin support, the developer community is great. Ghost is the absolute worst. If you're a non coder like me, looking to make your blogs look better, say goodbye to your sleep!

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

Please, please do not use it please!

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing. Literally nothing. I could not emphasize it enough how much I hate this platform.

  ### 10. Outstanding for what it is

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Chairman

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Beautiful editor - so much better than WordPress.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

It's strictly a blogging platform. Difficult to do any kind of page design outside the templates, at least in my experience. The updating process is also a bit funky, if you ask me.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, they solved the problems of having to deal with WordPress add-ons, themes, etc. They are adding a lot of features but most don't directly help me.

  ### 11. Ghost! Best CSM to create a paid community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahaan P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

1. Easy setup and maintenance
2. Really good uptime
3. Speed is super fast
4. Email Newsletters are inbuilt
5. Can customize and create plans from Ghost itself! Not no need to create it on Stripe anymore!
6. Code changes are super easy, integrations even easier!

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

1. Some of the plans feel limited. 1000 member plan includes paid and unpaid ( Having different numbers for paid and unpaid would be good!)
2. If your card gets declined, you are blocked out of the site. You can't even get onto the admin dashboard to make the payment.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Create a paid newsletter+ website
2. Create a community for people interested in my content
3. Collect and manage payments received from the community
4. Send them emails when a new blog goes live!

  ### 12. Loving Ghost for over three years :)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan B. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

It is super streamlined and efficient and looks simply amazing in every web browser no matter what template we use.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

Image control and sizing could be functionality that would be appreciated.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Taking the difficulty out of web site administration is a breeze with Ghost.

  ### 13. Easy to use with all the features we need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Simple, clean interface, easy to use and set up, has pretty much all the features we need, and the API is well documented.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

It would be great if you could upload multiple feature images for different situations. If you can do this, we haven't been able to work out how to so far.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our website uses a headless approach to load content, so we wanted a blogging platform that would fit with that. Ghost did precisely that, allowing us to manage our blog posts on the platform and pull them onto our website using its API.

The API is easy to integrate with and well documented and getting or website integrating with Ghost in this way took far less time than expected.

  ### 14. Easy to setup and modify it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina Elizabeth H. | Senior Devops Engineer, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

It is very simple to manage. I was able to install in one day.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

It should have more free templates. To do not have the certificate renewal setup by default.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a webpage in simple steps. I was able to create my own website without being a developer

  ### 15. Ghost is the CMS you should go for

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is excellent if you're thinking of starting on the JAM stack. It's fast, reliable and the best part is the admin UX it offers.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

You cannot customize much if you're thinking of using Ghost as a full-fledged CMS to design APIs specific to your web content.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ghost is fast, easy to use, and offers a simple interface that solved the problem of generating a brochureware website for us.

  ### 16. It's a great alternative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cem B. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

All in one integration, easy to use, very clean front end and good blogging experience.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

At first I have faced a problem with the payment. I was supposed to have one extra staff and I had two. I did not realize it would change my pricing plan. And I have missed their notification emails. At the end I was paying the upgraded plan without realising it. When I contacted to their customer service team they quickly jumped to solution and resolved my problem. I appreciate their spirit very much.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

Don't go for them if you don't check your transactions regularly. They might just charge you extra as they did for me! It's a scam.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User friendliness is a plus, easier integrations with social media, very clean front end. I liked that very much.

  ### 17. Grateful for Ghost

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I love the simplicity of the ghost platform, it's literally exactly what I need and want. Something simple, elegant, and the integrated email feature is f$#$%^* stellar. I'm grateful for ghost, the simplicity, yet depth of possibility (for example with zapier integration) feels quite refreshing. The platform appears to be unlimited in possibility.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

I wish I could more easily resize images, but after learning some basic markdown that's no longer an issue.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I transferred the content off my squarespace site and moved my content from medium over to my new ghost site. This is huge for me.. as I was wanting to do this for several years, ghost provided the structure to allow me to do that in a way that felt resonant with what I was envisioning creating.

  ### 18. Useful Simple Blog Platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David J. | Document and Knowledge Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Markdown authoring is easy to use and many people can contribute to the blog platform

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

If you delete a user you delete their articles and it is hard delete not retrievable. We are on an early version so an upgrade might solve this.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting none writers to write something. The blog format makes this easier.

  ### 19. Clean, Powerful and Fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dana R. | Chief Photographer, Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

The interface is clean and uncluttered and the ability to use markdown is beautiful and drool-worthy (even though I just learned it for the sake of trying Ghost). Their new membership option in V.3 is equally as wonderful. If you'd like to setup a basic membership blog without a lot of drama, they've made it extremely easy to do so - like you can set it up in less than 20 minutes and start blogging within the hour.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

Ghost can be a very simple, easy-to-use platform if you are content with it straight out of the box, which I'm usually not. I like to dig deep into the software I use - if possible - and while Ghost makes that extremely easy, I'm not well-versed in Handlebars and JS as of yet so that limited my creative freedom. That's purely on me, however. There's a decent-sized repository of themes (free and premium) to choose from if you'd prefer that as well.

Coming from the ease of flexibility Wordpress, Ghost is super simplistic in every way. With that said, it's definitely not as flexible. Little things like editing authors or categories requires that you open up each post to do so. Wordpress made that easy with the quick edit option in the dashboard. The native navigation bar is limited - not allowing dropdrowns - and you'll have to be able to edit a Handlebar (.hbs) file in order to change the footer links and/or remove their branding. Even so, Ghost is still far superior so it's worth forgoing some of the little things for Ghost's platform.

Oh, and Ghost also doesn't have a way to store or access previously used media; that's probably one of the biggest downfalls to ease of use and flexibility.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

Try it; you won't be disapointed!

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of time! I was able to import my blog from Wordpress and then format my posts/pages as needed to fit Ghost's structure. Once you get a hang of the flow, it's super easy and fast. And loading times are legit amazing - like 98-100% super speed.

  ### 20. Great tool for tech content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is very fast - I have zero trouble navigating the CMS backoffice. It's SEO-ready and the editing interface works quite well overall.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

There are some annoying UI behaviors here and there. Using the editing interface exclusively for markdown can be a pain.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

If you have the change of self-hosting Ghost, I would definitely recommend that option. The earlier versions of Ghost could be a pain in terms of version management, but now everything is much smoother and easier to manage.
Also, if you come from a WordPress blog, the Ghost team has several resources you can follow to guarantee that this transition happens smoothly. In the end, changing from WordPress to Ghost definitely has several benefits. The UI is far superior (even comparing with the new Gutenberg editor that WordPress has since version 5) and Ghost is much smoother. In terms of SEO, Ghost also has out-of-the-box support for most tools that you would need without any unnecessary fluff or additional plugins.
Ghost's support is also commendable. I have got in touch with their Support team more than a couple of times and they answered quickly and solved our issues.
If you're going to use Ghost daily, you're surely going to notice some mildly annoying bugs in the UI (especially when compared to WordPress), but I would say that it still does a fantastic job in the end.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a fantastic tool to maintain a technical blog.

  ### 21. I found Ghost to be the best platform for my professional blog!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavel B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I have started with a 14-day free trial and then turned to become a paid customer.
I like the editor, its minimalistic yet powerful design. I love integrations and the speed of my Ghost blog (it's insane either on web browser or mobile). Ghost CMS is easier to understand compared to Wordpress and the overall experience feels smoother.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

I have nothing to complain about at the moment.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ghost to build my personal portfolio website and feature my work on the web and social media.

  ### 22. Ghost is a powerful publishing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Very organized and easy to use. It helps filter contents to easily segregate important data to spam or just random data. Streaming is easy to customize, easy to understand you just have to watch the raw data streaming and clicking on to choose the information needed.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

Sometimes it freezes but I understand that it is due to high volume of feeds coming in. You just have to refresh your page when that happens so it can go back to normal. Sometimes the stream stops due to some maintenance on the product but we are informed ahead of time.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

It actually depends on your companies needs so it is better to consult first and hear from the company itself before deciding to implement.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes filtering important content easier and organized. Because it is so easy to use, the company can outsource the job to trained and highly skilled people to lessen the load of other personnel.

  ### 26. Next Generation Blogging Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob M. | Lead IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is a super fast next generation blogging platform, it's ease of use and amazing team behind it cause it to be absolutely amazing. Bloggers new and old will know exactly what to do with it.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

The setup is obviously going to be rough for some users, but other than that, no issues with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

If you need something to just make posts and pages and do it with ease and speed, stop searching, this is it.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A simple solution to solve our cms needs.

  ### 27. Easy to use, visually compelling, safe with auto-save!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is a great platform for either HTML savvy or technophobic users. It's hard to go wrong and with the auto-save and support of CRTL-Z you never feel like you're going to mess something up!

The new update is better to visually understand the end result as you're going along (which saves time) and the highlight/change functions are great for easily updating headings or formatting.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

There is a drawback with the most recent update, in that it feels like there's less easily accessible control. Whilst this is in some ways 'safe' and makes life easier in the first instance, when there's something you really want to customise (e.g. more than just two heading sizes, or varying/embedded imagery) it becomes a difficult task.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business benefits for ghost are a clean, safe and intuitive blog platform that can be hosted separately to our site, but via the same domain.

  ### 28. A great alternative to Wordpress

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I've used ghost for a few months now after converting mine and a couple of my casual clients websites from wordpress into it. The biggest complaint I got with wordpress is that it was too complicated to use and there were too many options they were afraid of breaking something. They also didn't need all the customization options provided. I switched to ghost as it's a free lightweight alternate. It provides simple blogging and page features, basic contact forms, but unlimited plugin possibilities for more advanced users. The back-end interface is easy to use, sleek and perfect for casual users.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

Although it's been around a few years, the adoption of ghost is still slow and steady, meaning things like plugins are still being introduced at a slow rate, making it hard to find specific plugins.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

Whether you use ghost depends heavily on the features you require out of a content management system/blogging platform. Ghost is extremely good at what it does, but doesn't have the plethora of features offered by others such as Wordpress.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating great websites for clients who need basic blogging and portfolio style features. It's cheap and easy to host yourself using digital ocean and easy to set up.

  ### 29. convert Ghost image to its orignal (Format)

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivek B. | Customer Support Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

the best part is i can format the system through ghost and can take the backup of the system during that time and it is fast also so i don't need to wait so much sometimes through other softwares I can't format the system specially POS systems which can't be format through other softwares easily while using Symantec endpoint protection which is a part of it. now inbetween 10-20 minutes your system can be formatted

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

I didn't find the much problem in it but ya have observed few bad things that during the time of format while finding drives it doesn't show the name of the drive doesn't matter what name is have putted in that drive which I thought they shoould work on it

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

If you are in IT sector and or in working in a retail firm as IT engineer then go for it easy to use and format etc.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to format and re-image the POS systems in my company

  ### 30. I Like it but a bit difficult to learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

What I like best about Ghost is the sophistication. It is easy to use once you get the hang of it, but there’s a lot of learning to do before. What I love about Ghost is the Pro subscription of it. It is very difficult to update your Ghost if you are on your own server, but if you’re a Pro subscriber, it is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

I dislike that there aren’t really many templates out there or plugins. At least not that I know of.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

It’s not that simple, but it’s definitely worth learning.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to successfully build a website

  ### 31. Innovative software with easy and interactive user interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Analyst, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I like how accessible the software interface is for the average user with little to no technology experience. The easy and straightforward system allows for more productivity in the workplace.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

I dislike the cost and expenses of implementing the software as they take away from the attractiveness of the product as a whole.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

Consider costs and difficulty of implementing software while examining potential benefits of this software.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ghost solves business problems by enabling employees to be more productive with their time.

  ### 32. Review on Ghost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Nanotechnology | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is a free publishing platform which has JavaScript programming language flexibility. It's easy to use, files could be downloaded and great for content writing. It's hassle free and user friendly for beginners.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

It does not provide plug ins which is handy with other publishing platforms (e.g., Wordpress). The version is still in beta phase which is actually because it's still new.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

If Ghost can provide plug-ins that would be awesome.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can perform content writing with Ghost. It helps creating new websites for my academic institutions since it has user friendly interface.

  ### 33. Simple yet powerful publishing platform to build static sites quickly

Developed simple, static page websites for some of our customers. Was easy to get started and roll up a site with blog features, was easy and saved lot of developer time to get started quickly. Also helped customers' go-t- market time.

  ### 35. Best publishing platform for writers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

The overall system is fast and beautiful. It gets out of the way for those who love to write.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

how expensive it is and difficult it is to maintain on your own.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

If you are looking for something more blogging focused and are wanting to get away from WordPress. This is a great option for you.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I find this extremely easy to use. Yes, you need to know HTML, but once you do you're ready to hit the ground running!

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

There are a few things that are not super easy to customize.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 37. Simple and Functional

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

Ghost is a no nonsense markdown editor that's easy to use without interfering with the overall site.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

I don't understand why they don't use a rich text editor. Maybe I'm just not their niche target market, but the markdown seems antiquated and unnecessary.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

The best part of this is the blog information. Everything else... meh.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A blog software that is customizable using html and css.

  ### 38. Confusing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Ghost?**

I like that it's a free service and that it's fully customizable. However, you need to be able to code to customize the product.

**What do you dislike about Ghost?**

It's very complicated and the UI is not helpful. I would prefer some guidance and tutorials.

**Recommendations to others considering Ghost:**

You should have a skilled technical background and know about hosting a website if you plan to use this service.

**What problems is Ghost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for blogging but I haven't really found many benefits.
