The connection to google aerials, automated section cuts from surfaces and the ease of which files can import/export from Civil 3D among other automated features save time. The user interface has more options while being user friendly. The onboarding process during which we worked on an acutal billable project was nice. **What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?** The one critique I have so far is pretty minor. Its ease of creating, designing, and analyzing floodplains is unmatched. The software is very user-friendly and offers numerous extra/additional functions and features. GeoHECRAS is very stable and powerful, and it rarely crashes (if ever). Technical and customer support is top notch when/if needed, with fast, professional, accurate responses and screen sharing to help. The software is import/export compatible with multiple versions of HEC-RAS, CAD, and GIS software. It can display aerial base maps on several different coordinate system options, which simplifies parameter inputs. Mapping large or small floodplains and floodways is simple with the automated tools for generating cross-sections, extracting geometry, assigning parameters, and visually mapping the results. It makes it easy to insert digital elevation models to cut sections, extend move, and add new sections and reaches. Everything about it is great and easy to use. I use this program almost daily and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to improve their company's worth. **What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?** Almost nothing. Sometimes is has errors with saving or delineating flood extents but when comparing the opsitives the negatives are almost obsolete. I will say everytime I encounter an issue I call customer service and they help mw resolve the issue extrememly quickly. **What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time. it makes modeling so much faster. I also use it to process DEM data to extract contours from TNRIS. The underlying programming is still the same but the compatibility with CAD makes creating the models in REAL SPACE much simpler and easy to go back and forth between CAD and HECRAS which made my life a lot easier. Best of all though is the customer service. I called for help on one of my projects and literally just set up a teams meeting right then and there to share my scree. It was wonderful being able to work with the engineers who actually created the programming to help solve my issues. When stuck using other software applications, you have to search on YouTube and suffer for multiple hours before something miraculously works. With GeoHECRAS, they have an online user manual which I've used multiple times and made my workflow easy. They also have beginner tutorials that get you going from the start. This is my first time learning the software, but in a matter of weeks, I understand it more than other applications I have used for years. **What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?** It would be nice to change cross section elevations through multiple cross-sections at the click of a button. The program is a must have to for proper integration of hydraulic modeling into a companies workflow. The program is easy to use, learn, and implement for all skill levels. The number of features including FEMA data dowloads, drainage area analysis, and DEM development (to name a few) make model creation and analysis a breeze. The Customer Support is second to none! Our company uses the software on a daily basis for complicated flood models as well as simple hydraulic analysis of stream projects. **What do you dislike about GeoHECRAS?** The program does have some minor programming issues like most other softerwares which can causes gliches. It is easy to add in terrain and other shp files as well as being able to run multiple scenarios at one time in order to compare results.
