What do you like best about GeoHECRAS?

The visualization of surface and hydraulic parameters is seamless, with effortless integration into CAD, Civil3D, and terrain features. It provides outstanding import and export capabilities as required. I also highly appreciate the technical support team, who are always available whenever I need their guidance.

The floodplain map generated by the Geo HEC-RAS model is easy to convert into CAD and standard drawings, as everything is georeferenced with excellent precision. Additionally, the conveyance capacity of hydraulic structures (such as culverts and bridges) and channel geometry are efficiently managed using Geo HEC-RAS software. Recommendations to others considering GeoHECRAS:

I recommend GeoHECRAS for everyone working in Floodplain analysis and modeling hydraulic structures. It is my advice for the company to access the software for the undeveloped countries at a fair price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GeoHECRAS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can conduct floodplain analysis and generate floodplains using terrain data. Linework can be exported to CAD, while summary tables can be exported to Excel for further analysis. The floodplain map and HEC-RAS cross-sections, when exported in CAD format, facilitate the creation of standard floodplain maps. Summary tables exported in Excel are useful for preparing reports and analyzing water elevation, velocity, and other hydraulic parameters.

The model supports both 1D and 2D hydraulic analysis, making it easier to size hydraulic structures using GeoHEC-RAS software. Its performance has greatly enhanced my efficiency and productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
