## Freedcamp Reviews
  ### 1. Freedcamp for Small Nonprofit Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Very easy to get started with and intuitive to learn — our team picked it up right away. We can assign tasks, set due dates, and everyone knows what they're working on. We like being able to comment and attach files directly to tasks, and having separate boards for each area keeps everything from getting mixed together. Visually it's nicely designed and easy to see what you need and get to what you need.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Hard to think of any cons for a small team with our needs.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our nonprofit's communications committee uses this to manage social campaigns, newsletter production, design tasks, and email marketing. We tried Trello but switched to Freedcamp — it felt like a better fit. Before this we relied on email threads and Google Docs, which made it hard to stay organized. Good option for any small team that needs to stay on top of tasks without a lot of setup.

  ### 2. Flexible and Powerful project management that's easy to get in to fast.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alistair D. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like the visualization of each project using the Kanban layout as it gives me a very quick indication of how my task list is looking for each project. I also really appreciate the alarm badge which shows how many tasks have been updated and are awaiting my contribution. This helps me avoid keeping clients waiting for a response during busy periods as I can home in on urgent tasks.

There are many other features to like such as the notes, discussions, and widgets however my use case I don't have to dip into those very much.

I also like that my clients find the system very easy to use. I have totally replaced by ticketing system with Freedcamp as my client appreciates the ease of use.

Finally, with a product that has so many features it is important to have good support online to guide me through any areas I am unfamiliar with and Freedcamp is also strong in this area.

I researched many project planners before settling on Freedcamp and I quickly came to realize that I made the right choice. I even upgraded my package, but if you are on a budget, the cost to entry is extremely low so I highly recommend anyone tries Freedcamp first.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There genuinely is not anything I dislike. I don't even have any feature requests for the developer. Everything works just like I need it to and if I am unsure of anything the support is first class.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you are looking for an easy to dive into project management tool that offers all the bells and whistles you might want to grow into - make use of the very low introductory offers to try Freeedcamp - I never looked back.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp lets me manage many web projects in one clear and efficient workspace. I genuinely do not know how I would manage with it.

I use it for two things, project management and support tickets.

For project management, I can clearly lay out tasks for many projects, and even group them into different areas (for example clients or web properties) and visualize progress. For client support tickets I can have simple efficient conversations with clients in the same layout as project management tasks so there is no learning required for different use cases. This is a real time saver for me.

  ### 3. The Best All in One tool for Project Management.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neema F. | Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

What I really like about Freedcamp is how it keeps everyone accountable without making things complicated. Setup was extremely easy. The task assignments and milestone tracking give us a clear picture of who’s responsible for what, and the time tracking is simple but effective. The built in discussions make a huge difference, we don’t lose important conversations in email anymore, everything stays tied to the project. I also like the Wiki feature because it gives us one place to store policies and project info that anyone on the team can pull up when they need it. The issue tracker is another big plus. It helps us log problems as they come up, assign them, and follow them through until they’re actually resolved. For me, it’s the mix of accountability, organization, and transparency that makes Freedcamp stand out. It's been our daily backbone of our company and has made us more organized and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike about Freedcamp. Every tool we’ve tried has its quirks, but with Freedcamp I haven’t run into anything that feels like a real drawback. The features we use work the way we need them to.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our biggest challenges was organization. We constantly found ourselves juggling texts, emails, and handwritten notes, and too often we wasted time trying to remember which channel we had used to share information. Important details would get buried or overlooked. We now track all activity on a project basis. If we send an email or text related to a project, we log it in Freedcamp, and the discussion boards keep everything tied to the right project. We can also comment directly on tasks and post updates as things change, giving everyone with access essentially real-time visibility. This shift has been the single biggest benefit to our business; it’s eliminated confusion, improved accountability, and given us the confidence that nothing gets lost along the way.

  ### 4. Great for Teams with Multiple Ongoing Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles H. | Head of Project Management, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is great for teams that need an organized space to collaborate and access notes and files related to multiple separate projects happening simultaneously. It allows for creating easy to find tasks within projects which we group by client name, assigning team member per project or per task, setting status and priorities and due dates, all while keeping things clean and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

This is tough. It's hard to state something I dislike about the software. I will come back to this if I find something.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of multiple client projects with several tasks and many moving parts withing those. Freedcamp make s it easy to create new projects and tasks, assign team members, follow up, navigate those tasks through to completion, reference previous solutions and stay on top of my to do lists.

  ### 5. Feature-Packed All-in-One for Small Agencies—Tasks, CRM, and Invoicing in One Place

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salman R. | Technical Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The sheer number of features available even on their lower tiers beats many competitors. Tasks, milestones, CRM, invoicing, they have them all in one place. It’s like the Swiss Army Knife for small agencies.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The UI can feel a bit cluttered or “old-school,” especially when you compare it with more modern tools like Linear or Monday.com.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps solve collaboration chaos, closes accountability gaps, and addresses scalability constraints.

  ### 6. Best To Do and Team Organization Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konrad S. | Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp has really impressed me! I love the daily email updates that keep me on track with my to-dos, and the way subtasks are organized makes even complex projects easy to manage. Changing the task status is quick and straightforward, and I find the interface very intuitive for all the important features. I’m sure I haven’t even discovered all the helpful tools it offers yet, but it’s already made my workflow so much smoother. I use it daily and cannot imagine how it would be to work without it. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There is not an aspect that comes to mind... Everything I need for myself and the team is easy to find (or to google how to do it) but Freedcamp has a solution for every need.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Freedcamp, the team's organization was horrible, using paper to do lists, emails, private to do apps, all at once. It costed us time to coordinate the status of the tasks, and some did not get finished due to bad organization. That's history, because using Freedcamp, everybody has the same always updated overview.

  ### 7. Best games changing tools for managing task

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mi a. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp has been a big help for our digital marketing agency. We use it to manage client work, campaigns, content calendars, and team tasks, everything stays organized in one place.

It’s easy to create different projects for each client and assign tasks to team members. The calendar helps us plan posts, emails, and ad campaigns. We also use the file sharing feature to keep all documents, graphics, and reports in one place, so nothing gets lost.

Our team loves how simple it is to use, even for new members. It works great on desktop and mobile, so we can update tasks or check deadlines anytime.

If you're running a marketing agency or managing multiple clients, I highly recommend Freedcamp to keep your work clear, organized, and on track.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Honestly me and my team didn't find any issue

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are solving our task management problems

  ### 8. A Simple Yet Powerful Tool for Team Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamrul H. | Digital Marketing Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

What I like most about Freedcamp is how user-friendly and flexible it is for managing projects of all sizes. The interface is clean and intuitive, so it doesn’t take long to get started. I especially love the task management and calendar features, which help me stay on top of deadlines and collaborate better with my team. It also integrates well with other tools, which makes our workflow smoother.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

One thing I wish Freedcamp did better is improving the mobile app experience; it feels a bit limited compared to the web version. Also, while most features are free, some of the more advanced options are locked behind a paywall, which might be a downside for small teams or freelancers with tight budgets.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp is helping us stay organized across multiple projects by centralizing all tasks, discussions, and files in one place. Before using it, our team struggled with scattered communication and missed deadlines. Now, we’re able to assign tasks clearly, track progress, and collaborate without confusion. It’s made our workflow much smoother and boosted overall productivity, especially in remote team settings.

  ### 10. Robust Project Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | Business Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The platform combines core essentials like tasks, milestones, and calendar views with advanced capabilities such as issue tracking, time tracking, file versioning, and collaborative discussions—all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There are lots of similar tools available, not sure it's doing much special in comparison.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp centralizes daily workflows in a single workspace that adapts to different industries and team sizes. It's got a clean interface that is focused on project management.

  ### 11. Ease of use, and flexibility - Freedcamp is supporting our small business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp was from the get go easy to use, and allowed me to bring in our staff members fast- as we implemented it, it has become a central point for our work flows. It is now used daily for multiple projects,

We have multiple long term projects and it helps us keep an eye over the state of things - it's been easy to integrate and customer support were on call when questions were asked!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The free version is still pretty advanced and useable, compared to a lot of the competitors, not to mention the ins built chat function meaning work stays somewhere outside of personal lines. The Gantt chart as a pro feature was my major disregard, but I can also upgrade!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't have a centralised space for our work to sit. Freedcamp has become in a short time the go to for projects to be brainstormed, for timelines to be set out, for workflows to be fulfilled and for the work to be delivered that is much more efficient than we were working before (e-mails , google sheets etc.).

  ### 12. Intuitive, affordable, well integrated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I found Freedcamp to be very intuitive and I love the outlook integration that allows me to save emails as comments to easily find my zoom links or info needed for a project without having to scour my inbox! I tried many other platforms that were much more costly but didn’t integrate as nicely before I settled on Freedcamp. It’s fast, easy, and keeps me organized for sure!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The mobile app lacks features but still would recommend overall!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me w project management with many moving parts.

  ### 13. Great Tool for Team Collaboration and Task Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Panagiota S. | Administrative Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The platform’s collaboration tools keep all communication, files, and tasks centralized, significantly improving team productivity.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The interface can sometimes feel a bit cluttered when managing many projects at once

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp helps avoid missed deadlines with clear task assignments and automated reminders, boosting productivity.

  ### 14. Freedcamp Simplified Our Event Planning for Women Techmakers Montreal and GDG Montreal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurence d. | President, GDG organizer and Women Techmakers Ambassador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

One of the best things about Freedcamp is its intuitive task management system, which makes it easy to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. The ability to create different views with saved searches is especially helpful for customizing how we organize and monitor various aspects of our projects. The calendar view is another favorite, providing a clear timeline of events and deadlines. Its collaborative features help keep everyone on the same page, making it perfect for managing complex projects like tech events.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

One thing I dislike about Freedcamp is the lack of a built-in feature to set time estimates on tasks. For project management, especially in tech or development-focused teams, being able to estimate the time required for tasks is essential for better planning and resource allocation. Without this feature, it becomes harder to track whether a project is on schedule or if tasks are taking longer than expected. While you can work around this by using labels or comments, a dedicated time estimate feature would make task tracking much more efficient.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp solves several key challenges we face as event organizers for Women Techmakers Montreal and GDG Montreal. Managing the logistics of multiple tech events can be overwhelming, but Freedcamp helps streamline our planning process. Its task management and project organization features allow us to easily coordinate tasks, track progress, and ensure everyone stays aligned.

One of the biggest benefits is the calendar function, which gives us a clear visual timeline for every event. This ensures that deadlines are met, and no details are missed. Freedcamp’s collaborative environment also fosters better communication among our team, allowing us to assign tasks, set due dates, and monitor progress, so that nothing slips through the cracks.

By using Freedcamp, we can focus on delivering high-quality events for our community while managing the logistics in an organized, stress-free way.

  ### 15. Great Value and Very Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp has a very intuitive UI setup. It is very easy to assign tasks to specific individuals and set goals for deadlines. The task tracking feature is also very helpful in allowing project leads to easily get a bigger picture of the progress being made. Freedcamp support also has a very quick turnaround response time, which is very helpful for resolving any issues.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

There are some more advanced project tracking features that are more confusing, but these don't affect the usability of the basic and most important functions.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp has been an invaluable tool in helping manage projects. With its intuitive user interface and competitive pricing, we've been able to integrate the software seemlessly into our workflow. There has been a noticeble increase in productivity since we introduced the software to our group.

  ### 16. Amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mat W. | Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is so easy to use right from the start. It is simple where it needs to be, making project management intuitive and clear. But it also has features for deeper and more complex collaborative needs. I'm using it with student interns at my university and it has helped us stay productive and organized.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I haven't found any downsides as of this point.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp has helped me manage projects run by interns from serveral departments without having to meet with them consistently. It has also made our processes more visible and the expected deadlines more clear.

  ### 17. Perfect value to cost for managing with SCRUM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Shorter setup duration.
it is light and is compatible with many gadget platforms, iOS, and Android.
Allow to manage subtasks and multiple assignees with the first paid license.
The search works perfectly!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Just minor I guess. There is a case when the dashboard does not automatically adjust when you access it with a screen that has a lower resolution. in my case, I just simply using the mobile application instead. :-)

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

mostly very time consuming to manage multiple projects by only having chat platform. by looking to the offered features to its pricing, i guess its a best tradeoff i can make to handle those projects.

  ### 18. It is the easiest to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gülcay G. | Marketing Content Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Even in freemium, it has the plenty pf helpful features and handled plenty.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It is not a downside but subtask could have more features.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The collaboration issue is solved better than ever! I get notified when the task has opened, in progress and done! Moreover, all of them were too easy to use and there were no overload of features on the screen.

  ### 19. Flexible Project Manager that adapts to your users ability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike F. | Community Champion, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

With most project management tools you get the options and configuration that the provider decides you need but with FreedCamp you can configure which parts of the tool you want to be available on a project by project basis. This allows you to ensure that those with little experience aren't scared off and those who demand more features can also have what they need. I also love the fact it can be white labelled so that my partners and customers feel secure in my application rather than a purely generic web tool.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I'm struggling to find any real negatives about the product after a few months of using it daily for multiple projects with mainly inexperienced colleagues it's coping with everything I've throw at it. If you have a lot of projects as I do maybe the dashboard can feel overwhelming initially but even now it's now comfortable for me.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My primary use is persuading people of the extra value a project management tool can bring. The easy to use functions, the clarity of project status and the easy way to manage and add tasks and sub-tasks as needed. Also as users become more comfortable with the system we can add more features and make the whole system and users more productive.

  ### 20. FreedCamp Project Manager Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Baskaran R. | Assistant General Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Easy to use, with kanban view and once the task started we can track the joureny like, not started, started, in progress, review and compelted, the implementation is easy login with official address and invite your friends and colleagues to join. we are using this tool in day to day operations to monitor the business process

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

there is slight complication in the inital to understand that, global users, team users and project users, with in the internal team for startup companies, mostly everyone involved in the project but only few has a access to all the projects, this could be litter better to optimize

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easy to monitor the regular task, and get the notification and the report easy to reach, also we can understand the issues in clear view of the product

  ### 21. best software for tracking of project and time management and tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** priyank s. | IT ENGINEER, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

most loving thing about freedcamp is its UI, tracking system of process and project management

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

there are some limitations in feature which can be improved.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

help us to manage multiple projects and tasks.

  ### 22. Highly efficient project management for complex engineering projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac A. | Aerospace Engineering Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp enables our team to effectively and efficiently manage complex, multifaceted engineering projects, including sounding rockets. Being able to assign specific individuals and groups, deadlines, and priorities to individual tasks provides a high degree of authority and accountability over each task that contributes to their timely completion.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

In my experience, the only feature of Freedcamp that can be difficult to understand is the calendar board. This is the case when there are a significant amount of tasks active at the same time.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp is solving the problem of tasks not being done due to a lack of ownership and accountability. Since tasks can be assigned to specific people, with set due dates, tasks are much more likely to be performed at a higher quality, and more likely to adhere to deadlines.

  ### 23. One of the best project management softwares out there

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It has all the features you will find in Jira or other paid software, and another extra like widgets.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It needs more translations for example Spanish or Portuguese

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to handle the whole conciliation workflow for accounting at a mega church, it helped us get organized and deliver in a timely maner. We increased a lot in business performance

  ### 24. A simple project management system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like that it has essential features that you need to communicate amongst a team of people. For example, the ability to manage discussions or upload files into one central place.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It doesn't get a lot of attention in the market like it use to and I'm not sure a lot people are aware of this software. It seems other companies have come in and surpassed this company.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp helps me to keep things organized in one place when working with others. It's an easy to navigate system that doesn't feel overwhelming. Plus it's easy for others, who may have never used the platform, to understand.

  ### 25. Best Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | Member of the Information For All Committee UNESCO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Has been my go to tool for many years. I started using Freedcamp about 5 years ago. It's easy to use and has different levels of complexity that suit different users within a team.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Originally it was slow to get a mobile version but it now has one and it works exactly like the desktop version.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp has shown the companies I work with how to "View" a project. A technical project involves not just technical problem-solving and implementation but also Finance, Legal, Admin, Logistics and Sales. All these different departments can now few and work on a single project.

  ### 26. platform to create unlimited projects and build a better workflow with the whole team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha M. | Supervisor de TI, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It is the best way to keep the entire team organized and carry out projects and tasks in one place; it allows us to optimize the processes of each task, improving the work and keeping track of the progress of each job, from its beginning to its end, It provides us with adequate functions to create a kanban board, Gantt chart, among others.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

In general, it is an excellent tool to improve collaboration with our entire work team, it helps us increase and maximize productivity no matter where we are, and it is an entirely free solution.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-In general, keeping the whole team together has been complicated; it helps us to manage and group all our objectives on established dates.

  ### 27. Great project management solution and can't beat the price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jo L. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

As a web project manager I was already used to Basecamp. This made for a very short learning curve with Freedcamp when I set it up for my agency.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I haven't found any limitations or issues and I've used it for years! My main issue with other free solutions is the limited # of projects - not an issue here!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp is great for collaborating with clients, who can start threads and tasks for us to follow up on. Serves internal and external PM needs.

  ### 28. Indispensable tool for all projects!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Wish it would integrate better with Outlook

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have always had a challenge being organized and staying focused on projects. With Freedcamp, I am so much more focused, organized and productive!

The varieties available for managing different projects at the same time.
Adding members associated with the projects gets reminderd which helps achieve ot deliver the project on time.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

No download option of different stages of projects.
Excel or no pdf download of the jist of the project also the dashboard once all the projects are there looks a little haphazard.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps delivere projects on time and also helps in letting the status known to all members associated with the projects by giving an intimation on mail.
Also shows the same thing on calendar available on the portal

  ### 31. My experience with freedcamp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pankaj C. | Sr. Android Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like the different type of listing of the task, with the separation of user and task status we can also add the sub task to the main task to divide a full task in sub task.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Reporting of the task is not good as compared to the other project management or task management tool, freedcamp can do it better.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Everyone can use freedcamp because it's easy to operate and configuration to start.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with other task management or project management tools but we need to configure too much before start but in case of freedcamp we need to do minimal configuration.

No need to train the users in case of other tool we need to train our users.

  ### 32. Last Stop in my search for the perfect Project Management tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sinemarka I. | Agency Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I've been a user of Freedcamp for about 3.5 years. After using the free version for the first year, I still continue to use it daily after switching to the Business version.

Some of the features I like:

- To be able to activate only the ones we need from the tools such as Calendar, Discussions, Wiki, Milestone, Timer and Issue Tracker for each project.
- Google Drive, Onedrive and Dropbox integration
- Creating tasks directly by e-mail, easily sending the files in the e-mail to the files section of the project
- Easily track all tasks with Google Calendar integration.
- To be able to effectively manage important password and panel information thanks to the Passwords group application.
- To enable customers to follow the project process with the "Public Projects" feature

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Even though developers are constantly improving the mobile app and adding new features, it is still far behind the web version. I use the web version as PWA on my mobile phone and tablet.

There is no integration between the CRM, Invoices, and Tasks modules. Each is successful as a separate tool, but it would be better to integrate them.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the correct project management application is essential, as project management applications are indispensable parts of our daily routine. After trying many popular project management systems, I chose Freedcamp as my last stop in my search, thanks to its feature-generous free version. Due to its economical price and feature-rich add-ons, it was not a difficult decision to switch to the paid version. We are a small team in our agency, managing all projects with an easy and clean interface has increased our productivity by 100%.

  ### 33. Freedcamp Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

  ### 34. Extremely Clean and Effective Team and Project Organizer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikas B. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The best feature in Freedcamp is the dashboard. It is the best dashboard of any project manager I have used, such as GitHub and Kanban Board. It clearly shows current important tasks, general work, and overall projects. It has a very clear hierarchy of details needed to tackle a large project successfully.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The only drawback to Freedcamp is that the premium features cost money. These features are quite useful so it is sad to see they are not available to free users. This includes, most importantly, issue tracking, CRM, and insights. However, the premium features are not too expensive and can easily be funded by a large team.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of managing medium-sized teams (3-12 members) in tackling large-scale projects (5-16 week software projects). The benefits include quickly modifying project scope, delegating tasks, and viewing essential duties. Timeline management in Freedcamp is also top-notch.

  ### 35. Freedcamp is an awesome toolbox to keep track of everyhting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel C. | Full Stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The fact that there's a free tier is great. Also, the fact that there are different levels of subscription is awesome. I use Freedcamp to manage my various TODO lists and keep track of my deadlines. I make extensive use of the email-in feature, which lets me add tasks directly into projects/lists, and Freedcamp is now my archive for everything relevant that happened in my various projects.

I really like the Gantt feature of Freedcamp, which I use on some projects. For the others, I use lists, which lets me sort out all of my tasks and organizing them.

The way the search feature is implemented is also awesome. It's extremely easy to find something fast.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I think the way billing works for collaborators in Freedcamp is a bit confusing. If I have a friend with his own subscription, and also have one, we can't just collaborate. One of us needs to hop on to the other's billing if we want to avoid paying extra.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Try out the free tier first, and play around with what you have. If you're like me and you happen to fall in love with it and would like some of the more specialized features, consider a subscription.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever I have something I know I may need to remember for work, I put it in Freedcamp. Whenever I have meetings or deadlines, I put them in Freedcamp. Whenever I have a thought about something important, I put it in Freedcamp. All of this has allowed me to reduce the stress I have because I'm scared of forgetting something important and let me focus on more important things.

  ### 36. Cheap project management software that has many features but is not intuitive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is one of the cheapest options compared to monday.com, Microsoft teams, etc. It has many features and functionalities, far more than Trello. You can add your whole team and have a centralized way to manage tasks.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The user interface is not intuitive. The learning curve for Freedcamp is a lot steeper than it is for Clickup, Trello, and Asana. It takes a long time to set up and maintain.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The user experience is not intuitive or efficient. It was far too confusing for most of our team to figure out on their own. Because of this, we had to dedicate more time to teaching everyone how to use it.

  ### 37. Free your schedule with Freedcamp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan S. | Special Projects Coordinator, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

The simple and easy to manage interface. I have tried Monday, Trello and several other Project management portals but have found Freedcamp meets our needs better and with less downtime required for un-necessary meetings to discuss what we can visually manage together from one source. I like the milestone and task functions as well, for purposes of holding team members accountable for staying on task and on time! As our unit oversees 200,000 sq ft of campus space, it is imperative that we are all on the same page at the same time!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Nothing at this point, but we are only 4 months into its use. Give us time and we will provide their engineers with some challenges.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Give it a try, we are sure you will find it as manageable and efficient as we have! We can't guarantee the same outcomes we are experiencing, but we think you will want to give it a fair shake none-the-less!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having difficulty managing projects for 5 different teams as most applications required a different process for each. Freedcamp allowed to configure in a manner that made sense to us and allowed us to use a workflow that was comfortable and easily navigable! As we have multiple units under one umbrella, it is imperative that we accommodate as many resources as possible when managing projects.

  ### 38. Freedcamp for Task Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like that you can collaborate with someone on tasks, and you can each see progress. I have been using the program as a task manager as I work from home. My supervisor is able to see my task goals, and we are able to discuss them through comments.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

In creating a task, I wish the calendar function automatically popped up to add a goal date. Furthermore, I would like to connect freedcamp to my other calendars (google, outlook). I am also not sure if there is an app for the program.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp is a way to collaborate while working from home. It also a program used to track progress on projects. It is beneficial because it can streamline the process of task work and communication. Instead of constantly emailing someone about task updates, they can find them in the program with the comments feature.

  ### 39. Easy to use for project managment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I love the interface and how easy and clean it looks to drag and drop tasks to different projects and add other projects to the calendar. It would be great if they added some additional features.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I wish the color-coding were a little better. Sometimes it's confusing to know which project I am on, and then I add things to the wrong project. I wish it were easier to see all the different things on the main calendar.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

If you don't want to spend a bunch of money then this is the software for you.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a more visual approach to our content calendar. It's allowed us to see all of the different marketing initiatives in one place. I needed to one shot look and see our activities.

  ### 40. Awesome project management features and customer support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Freedcamp is simply a pleasure to use, bringing projects to life. Projects can be managed in one place, without having to jump between multiple disconnected programs. From Todo/Task lists, Milestones, Time Tracking, Invoicing, the ability to Invite other users into a project and so much more. It's constantly evolving too, with features regularly being added and updated. Customer support is super responsive, which is a standout feature in its own right.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It's difficult to find a negative to be honest but I guess it would be that that it's updated quite regularly (via regular scheduled slots), which creates an access issue for me personally sometimes. The developers do choose quiet times to do this however since I'm in the UK (and they aren't), due to the time difference I often find myself unable to use it on a Saturday morning whilst updates are being pushed. The slight inconvenience is still a small price to pay for what has become one of my favourite programs.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines project management from start to finish.

  ### 41. Freedcamp - an easy way to keep your team on track

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

- good range of functionality without being overly complex
- free version has more group functionality than other similar apps
- they offer sponsored plans for non-profit organisations

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

- limited options for progress status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed) - would be good if can give a %
- need to manually change your notification settings, as the default settings will bombard you with notification emails

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Freedcamp is an ideal choice for small-to-medium sized organisations looking to get started with a software solution to improve their project & task management. It has all the basic functionality you need, at a fraction of the cost of other similar products.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small non-profit organisation with most of the team working collaboratively on many concurrent project activities, each with many tasks. Using Freedcamp is helping us to keep on top of who is doing what, and what else needs to be done. Almost everyone in the team has never used a project management system before, but they have adapted to Freedcamp quite easily.

  ### 42. Reasonable Software for Basic Organization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shayna C. | Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like that Freedcamp gives you the ability to sort through tasks that are important to you or your team, and that's it. There aren't many bells and whistles, so it's easy for beginners to understand.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

It's not user-friendly. The interface is chunky and could use some more free-waving parts to allow users to be more diverse in their task assignments and such.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task delegation, organization, project management

  ### 43. Freedcamp for task and project management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roosmarijn S. | Data Engineer, Analytics and Insights, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

It makes it effective to create and assign tasks.

Track the progress of tasks.

Manages to-do lists.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Enterprise plan is expensive - it would be better if they can add users or reduce the cost.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

Yes.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Track time and expenses incurred on projects.

  ### 44. The Right Balance Between Performance & Investment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jhody A. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

This app manage to provide the sweet balance between my learning curve in using the app effectively until go up and running, and all the necessary functionalities, without putting my self too much in configuring all the features with it's bells and whistles.

The support alone is a solid and consistent 5 star performance, very prompt and spot-on showing a high level customer and solution oriented team.

Roadmap and active development are heading towards my business needs which means this app is definitely a good long term investment for my team since Freedcamp has been around for quite some time now.

More integrations are coming up as well, but for now, I'm satisfy with how the app being developed for the last 6 months or so.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The on-boarding is good but the learning curve a little bit steep the first time I test it. But recently they improved the UI big time, and it surely enhances other users in my team having a much better UX, and support is always within reach anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I've been using lots of Project Management and Team Collaboration Apps such as Trello, Slack, Asana, Bitrix24 and more.

But when I started to use Freedcamp about a year ago, I learn that this app manages to provide the sweet balance between my learning curve in using the app effectively to go up and running, and all the necessary functionalities without putting my self too much in configuring all the features with it's bells and whistles.

Other than that, their support alone is a solid and consistent 5 star performance, very prompt and spot-on showing a high level customer and solution oriented team.

I had a few issues during the set-up but once support came in handy, the rest of the on-boarding process was really smooth.

In a way, it is a mature App, but later-on, I found out that their roadmap is growing continuously to the right direction, based on my team way of working, and also the current business needs dynamic.

More integrations are coming up as well, but for now, I'm satisfy with how the app being developed for the last 6 months or so.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This app manages to provide the sweet balance between the learning curve in using the app effectively to go up and running, and all the necessary functionalities without putting my self too much in configuring all the features with the bells and whistles.

Definitely a good Value for Money compared to most similar apps, with all Necessary Features & Advantages for Team Collaboration available, and the company is having a Clear Roadmap & Active Development, combined with a Highly Effective & Prompt Support team.

  ### 45. Recommend it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristian F. | T, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

it's the cheapest solution for team or individuals. I use it only for myself, and still it's the best. I like to organize my projects.
I would like an expand / collapse option for sub-tasks. It would become in handy, as I have many sub-tasks and it's hard to follow them. And comments I used to different options for a issue / task.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

On mobile phone, the app is not so advanced. Also need more tags to see more clearly a projects. I suggested already the idea of collored custom tags. Also I feel like a lot of things are missing in the drag and drop pannel.
Also on mobile phone, it's fustrated that I can not order tasks.
Tracking time doesn't have a sum up for today or week. Also no report graph, or export report time data.
Drop box or Google drive are useless, as they are open in a new tab window, and they have some download issues on some windows machine (win 8 or win 10).
A google keep integration might be usefull, but I can not use tasky at all, as I can not find in on mobile app.
Also it would be a nice automation if you could next time use a mail review, for your surveys. With a gmail integration, you could make reviews, directly from aproved emails.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I already said above, I use it for organize my projects, and also for the archive benefit. A freedcamp integration with slack it would be nice for work management, without zappier / included in current plan.

  ### 46. Great task management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

There are so many things to like about Freedcamp. Ease of use is probably number one. It is very intuitive and straightforward to use, but it has a lot of features too. I use it just for my project management, and it does everything I need it to do.

The API is also straightforward to set up and use. I built an interface from an application I wrote that creates tasks for me to review and sets the due date to remind me to get things done.

Pricing is also great. The free version has a lot of features, but to move up a tier is very inexpensive. I signed up for the free version, then the minimalist level to set due dates.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

Honestly, I don't have anything I dislike about Freedcamp. They are constantly improving the product and adding features. If I found anything to be annoying, I would not be a paying customer!

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I built an app that creates tasks for me to review daily. It removed the requirement of me reviewing all data every day and highlights the significant changes for the day. Doing this saves me time knowing that out of 60 items, only three or four need any attention.

  ### 47. Freedcamp just the system I need!!! Easy to use and help my organization to improve goals!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago H. | Formador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I use Freedcamps for some years due to the user-friendly and effectiveness of the system. The best thing apart of managing different projects with different teams and customers is the task management system, that helps us a lot to organize our day by day and our milestones.

The option that allows living history comments in every single task is super useful to control the evolution deep in detail and also to optimize our reporting to customers and also internally.

To know in real-time, the situation of a single task could seem simple, but for me is really important, because we avoid meetings, calls, emails and reporting.

The Dashboard is also really useful to know in some seconds the priorities of the day.

Exporting data also helps to present project evolution to clients.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The format of some widgets is not well integrated. But in general, I am satisfied.

If I have to recommend something to improve the system, this could be to add the possibility to integrate wordpress as a pluggin, to match wordpress projects with freedcamp projects.

Another good option that I would like to improve is the possibillity to recive via WhatsApp some up-dates not all, but it could be a really good option be in the business during travels, without using the APP mobile.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

No doubt this is the right system in the market. I have used other systems, and at the end I came back to freedcamp.

Is so easy to teach new employees and customers to use It, that make the decission really easy.

To be honest after working 20 years with different ways of organization now I can say I am satisfied with my actual way of working. And FreedCamp has a really important of this goal.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization is based in different locations, with different profiles, and involved in different projects. Freedcamp help us to keep al the team updated, and provide us a lot of power in terms of time management.

We do not need to make so many calls, emails, or videocalls, as before, so our time management has improved a lot. And also help to make our personal life quality better.

Follow up, internally and providing access to the customers, they are really happy because they see step by step the evolution of their contracted projects.

  ### 48. I enjoy the interface.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmad H. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

I like how easy it is to use. I can navigate easily and it's not cumbersome. I like being able to set up multiple tasks and assinging them accordingly. Being able to also invite others outside of my organization to view a project is a plus.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

I cannot add custom fields when creating a new project. I really wish I could! This is a huge drawback for me. I would like to be able to add a technician name as part of the Project when first creating the project but cannot do this. Currentlly I just have to assing the tech via tasks lists.

**Recommendations to others considering Freedcamp:**

I highly recommend it. However, I just wish there is certain things like being able to add additional fields when first entering or setting up the project.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an active project manager and I use Freedcamp to run all my current projects. I am solving deliverables by being able to track my projects actively. I realize I the benefits are allowing outside stakeholders also to be a part of the project(s).

  ### 49. Freedcamp is the project and task management solution I've been searching for!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara C. | Owner, Designer, Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

Quick and easy setup to get started using immediately
UI is clean, straightforward and uncluttered
Entire layout of project overview, upcoming tasks, etc. is exactly what I've been looking
14 day business level trial was an ideal amount of time to see if it was worth purchasing
Most important feature for me is to be able to create a project template from an existing project and set/adjust timeline - love this!

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

This is minor, but wish I could set a time in addition to a date deadline. Still learning their system so hope to provide an update down the line.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As my business grows, Freedcamp is helping me stay on top of my client projects, managing the myriad tasks involved and meet the various deadlines.

  ### 50. Move beyond "to do lists" into personal project management with Freedcamp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Calvin P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Freedcamp?**

For an individual, one-man shop like me, Freedcamp's pricing model is by far the best of any online project management platform. And I really really like the lifecycle of projects.

**What do you dislike about Freedcamp?**

The UI has its quirks, not gonna lie. The wiki feature is very primitive and lacking. It's not a show stopper, but something you have to learn to live with.

**What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freedcamp lets me implement "Getting Things Done" methodology and it lets me keep track of a thousand things at once from the tiniest errand reminder to the biggest life goals. I might not get everything done n a given day, but I have tremendous peace of mind knowing that nothing will fall through the cracks either. If I don't get something done, it's because there were too many other more important things that needed to get done.
