Question on: Staff Time Tracker

How do you balance precise time tracking with screenshot notifications in Staff Time Tracker?

Staff Time Tracker has been helpful for precisely tracking activity and taking daily attendance with exact timing. The only downside has been screenshot notifications, although turning them off makes it less of an issue. Accurate time and working hours are really important for employees, so I am curious how others handle this tradeoff. Do you keep screenshot notifications on, turn them off, or adjust settings to make them less disruptive?

We had a similar situation when we first started using Staff Time Tracker. We wanted accurate working hours and activity records, but having screenshots appear too frequently felt a bit distracting for the team. We ended up adjusting the screenshot settings rather than turning the feature off completely. That worked better for us because we still had useful activity visibility without making employees feel like every few minutes were being watched. I think the right setting really depends on your team, but for us, finding that middle ground made the tracking much easier to manage.

I have been using Apploye for employee performance monitoring along with progress reports, daily work reports, project management, and time tracking, and it feels quick and easy to use. The main challenge I ran into was integrating it with other tools, though it got resolved after working with other experts. If you use Apploye, how smooth has integration been for you, and what helped you get it working well with your other tools?

For me, Apploye has been solid for combining employee monitoring with time tracking, project performance management, billing, and reporting in one place. I especially rely on the offline tracking and the report delivery for projects. The only friction I’ve had is that generating monthly reports for all employees can feel slow.

In my case, the screen monitoring plus real-time project progress tracking has been the biggest help for keeping our remote team on track and staying aligned with clients. Integration was the only spot where I hit bumps, and email support could be slow, but calling in got me a much faster resolution. I’ve also found the AI features useful for handling invoices and generating client reports without a lot of extra steps.

Did anyone actually need GPS and geofencing for a distributed hourly team, or was that overkill?

It wasn't overkill for us once we had crews rotating across three different sites in the same week. Without geofencing we had no real way to confirm clock-ins were happening on-site instead of from someone's driveway.
