It is used by solar development, engineering, and consulting firms to design layouts, modify designs, and calculate materials and installation costs.

Solar design software assists users in creating simulations of different solar power system components, including solar PV modules, inverters, battery banks, cables and accessories, etc. These simulations are used for estimating the amount of power that will be consumed or produced subject to different atmospheric conditions.
