Gridcog Energy Modelling Software Reviews & Product Details

Gridcog is energy modelling software for solar, battery energy storage system (BESS), hybrid, behind-the-meter and e-mobility projects. It simulates the physical and commercial performance of each project, interval by interval, across multiple sites and markets. Developers, independent power producers (IPPs), investors, consultancies and large energy users use Gridcog to size solar and battery projects, model revenue from wholesale markets, ancillary services and power purchase agreements (PPAs), assess merchant exposure and negative pricing, and test dynamic grid connections. Results include IRR, NPV and cashflows across scenarios, ready for investment approval. Gridcog shows developers and investors the full range of a project’s returns, with every assumption visible, before they commit capital. Gridcog has modelled more than 18,000 energy projects across 40+ markets, has teams in London, Berlin, Madrid, Perth and Melbourne, and is backed by ABB, DNV, Axpo and VERBUND.
