Is this a joke? Answered: Peggy Regentine on March 13, 2024 Snagit is excellent. I use it religiously almost every single time I open up my pc. You cannot go wrong with investing in this tool and I cannot live without it. A pc without snagit feels empty and this is a genuine statement. My only minor complaint involves deficiencies in scrolling captures. Panoramic seems to solve it, but as a manual scrolling process. Well worth the cost! Great software. I can say honestly it's fundamentally changed our sales process, where the automated demo is a required part of the cycle prior to a live demo. Curious to know the impact that the tool has had for others? Tony, VERY impressed that you've added the automated demo as a requirement before engaging a presales resource. We'd like to one day get there as well. Agreed with the sales cycle time. I'll also add that we've seen our AEs using Consensus to qualify out opportunities so that they can focus their time on opportunities that are more likely to close. An AE once told me, "if they're not willing to watch a 5 minute Consensus video, are they really serious about an evaluation?" Particularly down market where the volume is so high, being able to use Consensus as a way to focus our efforts is a big win. Snagit is the actual program to snag an image/video, etc. Editor allows user to edit the images and save or print. Answered: Steve Ashton on January 1, 2026 Snagit is the overall product name. On your desktop you have two apps; Snagit goes in your system tray and allows access to image capture settings and profiles, also to a button that explicitly requests a screen capture. Snagit Editor is a tool that comes with Snagit which allows you to edit, file, share images (and a lot more) . Typically a screen is captured with the Capture button or with a keypress (like Print Screen) and the editor immediately opens up for you to work with the new image. That's only the start of what you can do. Snagit Editor allows all sorts of options. Snagit Editor opens the captured image and allows it to be edited using an array of useful tools, to make the image speak clearly to the intended user, for example by adding numbered steps to indicate a sequence of procedures.
